The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is the best way to play one of the best games ever made. Excellent bonus content and visual bells and whistles make this $10 more than worth it, and the exact excuse you need to revisit this modern masterpiece.

Regardless of if you’re experiencing the story for the first time, or returning for the $10 upgrade, this is the definitive version of one of the finest video games ever made. It’s worth playing for the story alone, but the No Return mode is an intense and fun addition that might keep you around longer than you expect.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is a more fully-featured and overall superior version of an already-incredible game. No Return makes it worth the $10 upgrade by itself, and the game is an absolute must-buy for anyone who has never played the PS4 original. The Lost Levels are a bit of a letdown and the graphics haven't gotten as much of an upgrade as some may have hoped, but this is still the definitive way to experience Naughty Dog's masterpiece.

Do I think The Last of Us 2 Remastered is worth it? Absolutely. At $10, it’s a no-brainer if you want to revisit TLoU2 on PlayStation 5. No Return is the most fun I've had with the game's stealth-action mechanics yet, and the DualSense haptics add depth to gameplay and cutscenes, putting tension on bow strings and adding physical context to dialogue through vibrations. If you’ve never played TLoU2 but have been waiting for the best version of it, this is it, despite the frame drop issues and the limited Making Of content. No Return is worth the price of admission alone.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is not a remaster at all. At best it has some new features that should have been free. No Return roguelike game mode is lackluster and there is no point in playing it. TLOU combat was complementing the story, and it did so very well – unlike No Return which is basically hide and seek with extra steps. For a layman, the graphic improvements are unnoticeable, especially if you haven’t played it in a while, and there are a bunch of new bugs that were previously absent (falling through the ground, missing limbs on character models, etc). The lost chapters are neat to get some dev insight, but are almost unplayable, as they are mostly alpha. This should have been a free DLC for the fans and not a quick money grab. Naughty Dog, take a note from Santa Monica Studios.

From the stunning visuals and animations to the fluid gameplay and sound design, it stands as a pinnacle of what modern gaming technology can achieve. However, a game that relies so heavily on its narrative cannot be evaluated by visuals alone; when the story fails, the experience **** frustration with this title stems from its narrative structure, which feels disjointed compared to the organic, grounded realism of the first game. The plot relies heavily on artificial, shock-value moments rather than believable character motivations. Forcing the player to spend half the game with Abby, in an attempt to manufacture empathy for a character who lacks a meaningful foundation, feels like a contrived intervention. The narrative constantly pushes a specific perspective, making the experience feel more like a forced lecture than a natural progression of the world we fell in love with in the first **** someone who adored the original, I struggled to connect with the sequel’s direction. While it is a feat of engineering and production, its storytelling feels inflated and desperate to be profound, often at the expense of player immersion. It’s a 10/10 technical achievement paired with a narrative that I found hard to digest, leading me to a 7/10 overall score. It is a well-made game, but a deeply disappointing story.

When they give you a choice to kill the doctor or not in the first game, (Obviously i didnt, i just took Ellie and left) then you play this game and all the sudden this woman has fake made-up revenge and kills Joel for no reason. Like your fathers alive i didnt touch him. Honey chill..... It's really just..... ****... Poor Scripture, other than that I love everything else.
