Catherine: Full Body is a remake that adds an enormous amount of value and gives audiences who missed out another opportunity to enjoy this title. It’s accessible to all players regardless of skill level and has a story which is riveting and poignant. For players who have played the original release, now you have an opportunity to take a new branch as well as take on the world to show your climbing skills. One would say this title has definitely aged well and can be considered a fine vintage.

Catherine: Full Body has aged like the finest of wines. For fans of the story, the new characters and plot threads fold in fantastically after an awkward start, and they're coupled with a wealth of new dialogue and beautifully animated cutscenes. For fans of the gameplay, new remixed levels and difficulty options add brand new challenges for even the most hardcore Catherine enthusiasts, and with support for the game's niche competitive scene to boot. And if you've never played the game before, all of these additions make an already classic video game even more of a must-play experience.

Its gender depictions might not have aged like fine wine, but there’s still nothing quite like Catherine: Full Body. Whether you play it as an anime visual novel, a nightmarish puzzle or bizarre fighting game, it’s a richer experience all-round.

Catherine is certainly a fun and challenging game, both in its gameplay and story and character elements. In some of these moments it succeeds, in others, it fumbles, and falls flat on its face. But that doesn't mean it's unimportant, as it is good to learn from mistakes made previously in order to improve at a later point in time.

Rin's presence still brings an intriguing new edge to Vincent's crisis, and Full Body still tells a fascinating, personal tale. The nightmarish block puzzles are still weirdly intense and satisfying to surmount, and the Stray Sheep is still a wonderful bar to spend your nights in. Full Body does a great job in refining and refreshing the Persona studio's fascinating foray into the social lives of adults, and Catherine continues to stand out as a game that feels both incredibly bizarre and authentically intimate.

Still one of the few video games to deal with love and relationships in anything like a realistic manner, but the attempts to shoehorn in an extra new character fall flat.

Catherine: Full Body didn't really change my opinion on Catherine all that much. I'm still as conflicted as I was in 2011 with a love for the art style and weirdness of the game. The uninspired puzzles that make up the rest of it wear out their welcome too quickly though.

Its challenging block-climbing mechanics are rewarding, though the difficulty spikes and sometimes messy narrative choices can be frustrating. A creative and unusual experience that stands apart from most games.

fun gameplay, story is stupid most of the time and vincent is an complete idiot, cool endings though.

Awful. A dumpster fire of misogyny and transphobia. Considering the gameplay only serves to prop up the story, there's nothing of value here.

base Catherine is great, if this just was a graphical upgrade and a few more cut-scenes but the ending for this is so bad it is almost entirely incomprehensible, just buy the base game so you don't waste extra money on a downgrade, its so **** bad
