Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero7
Oct 13, 2024
It's fine, probably I was expecting too much out of a Budokai Tenkiachi sequel, but other than multiplayer, this game is... barren? What's there is solid, don't get me wrong, the secret what if stories are fun, and the custom battles are absolutely the best thing about the game, but they really don't last you nearly as much as you think they might, and after that you're just left with really not much to do, at least if you're not a competitive head, and don't enjoy an highly uneven multiplayer experience.

Solid game, with quite the self-important story that barely sticks the landing, definitely not a game for everybody, but what's here is actually fun, I just wished the game leaned onto its action elements a bit more than almost not at all.

Silent Hill 20
Oct 10, 2024
Silent Hill 2 Remake is simultaneously the answer and the question of: Can you remake Casablanca? And can you arguably make it objectively a better movie than the original? When really people should ask: Why in the world are you remaking Casablanca in the first place? In a never ending series of pointless remakes and reboots, this honestly made me feel empty inside, it's a game from a different age and era that needed to stay where it was, instead of flopping around in fancy 4k textures, vfx that go way over the top, a tick wall of post-processing garbage and middling performances that leave me bored instead of moved.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A0
Oct 18, 2025
It's a modern Pokémon game on the switch, I believe that's a good enough descriptor that tells you everything you need to know already, visuals are dated, performance is sub-par, and good God are most new megas seriously horrible looking, it feels like they practically didn't even try this time around, it breaks my heart because I really do like the mechanic, but it only made me stay away from megas altogether due to what I can only describe is the terrible modern Pokémon style they're still riding on for whatever reason, slender and weird unappealing shapes galore, and don't even get me started with that horrible NetEase-like battle system that's about as responsive as Nintendo's own online services, which is sluggish to a point that I thought that my game was bugged or something. My personal recommendation to GF is: Please return to the 2D bread and butter traditional turn base games' formula, it's where you excel in the most, and every time you diverged from it, the result was either middling or a disaster, much like it is in this case.

Elden Ring Nightreign4
May 31, 2025
All in all, terrible performance aside, this game is pretty mediocre, everything unique Nightreign's trying to achieve is antithetical to the concept of the soul like genre as a whole, I think a lot of people are missing the forest for the trees, do not confuse this game with Elden Ring (Witch itself suffers from compounded and seriously deleterious game design issues) they're nothing alike, and yet they desperately want to be each other, if you play on PC and really want more out of the base game do yourself a favor and try Elden Ring: The Convergence instead, they will probably port some, if not all, of Nightreign bosses there eventually anyway.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered5
May 15, 2025
The game itself is faithful to the original Oblivion, perhaps to a fault, the real problem here is performance, for the love of God, please, PLEASE stop using UE5 for everything, framegen shouldn't be (ab)used as a crutch to hide how unbelievably poor games on that engine have, and consistently continue to perform.

The visuals and performance optimization aspects are immaculate, but as far as remakes go? My God, seriously, what even went wrong here? It's incongruous to a point that I think some people at bluepoint despise having a singular vision, more than art direction it's visual anarchy, and don't even get me started on the soundtracks, good gravy, what even went wrong there?

Apr 9, 2025
It's... Ok? Really bland and very middle of the road game to be honest, maybe it's a victim of its own reputation, but I found this game very flavorless, cannot really explain why that is, maybe it was the art direction, the reused assets or the absolutely horrible PvE balancing, like Jesus H. Christ, using magic in this game feels like dousing enemies with blue gatorade.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time7
Mar 15, 2025
The game is alright, definitely a huge step-down from the PS2 trilogy, but it can be fun in parts, the real problem is that story, the whole last of its species superman/chosen one trope is super played out, and has no place in these games, especially considering how out of nowhere that plot point is thrusted upon the protagonists between ToS and Crack in Time, it's just very contrived and kinda forgettable, even for the series standards.

This was just the most bland, sad, garish, overpriced, unbalanced, boring, flat line, awful, unchallenging, pointless, nothingburger of a DLC that Bethesda ever released, and that includes Mothership Zeta, I'm now convinced more than ever that they're washed, and I'll never, ever, buy a game of theirs on day one again, that is, unless it somehow scores at least an 8.5 on the user side.

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)5
Feb 12, 2025
It's honestly amazing the amount of effort it went into draining the original out of everything that made the game memorable and unique, overall, Ratchet and Clank the remake, the movie tie-in, the game, was just a painfully mediocre attempt at rebooting the series that didn't really excel in anything and failed pretty majorly as the thing it was supposedly attempting to be, a remake, (Maybe, I'm still not clear if that was the case or not), from the embarrassingly easy gameplay, which was dumbed down into oblivion, to the plot and characters that were hugely simplified or axed completely, to the dreadful performances and the new bland and forgettable tracks, there's no getting around it, this thing completely missed the point of the original, while also failing to justify its own existence as a reboot of the entire franchise. It boggles the mind that people even like this thing at all.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters8
Jul 16, 2024
I've heard for years an ungodly amount of slander directed at this game, and for the life of me I cannot see why that is, this was a perfectly fine R&C game, Size Matters's only real failing, other than some dubious segments here and there (Like the Skyboard races and some Clank sections), is that due to it being a PSP game, it ended up being more limited in scope and execution than it could have been otherwise. As far as I see it, Size Matters is probably one of the best PSP games out there.

Do you think that mountaintop of the giants is the best area in Elden Ring?
Do you think that DS2 is the absolute monumental peak of From software's level design?
Do you enjoy getting two shotted by PASSIVE mobs?
Do you enjoy getting hit by delayed attacks and insane boss helathbar deleting combos that leave you no other options but cheesing them with extremely unbalanced summons?
Do you enjoy getting rewards after overcoming said impossible odds that barely keep up with the content you're supposed to use them in?
Do you enjoy heavily inconsistent framerates, bad input queuing and random stuttering on PC? Then boy, do I have the DLC for you.

Jak II7
Jun 18, 2024
Don't get me wrong, Jak 2 is an overall good game, but the over-abundance of annoying and repetitive missions, pretty underwhelming gunplay, floaty driving, and strangely uneven difficulty curve, made it overall way worse than it could have been otherwise, I personally consider this game the weakest of the trilogy.

The fact alone that this game averages around a 70 on the aggregate critic score should tell you all you need to know about major gaming outlets, that's to say unironically: skill issue, even back in 2007. This game is easily the best arena fighter I've ever played, still is.

The UI is atrocious, the gameplay loop gets boring after 2 hours, and I'm being generous here, none of all the forced quips that these characters spout are either memorable, remarkable or even remotely funny, the story is mediocre and the tagged on life service model is staggeringly pointless and almost insulting. I hope to God that this game was mandated by some suit at Warner, because I want to believe with all my heart that the people at Rocksteady didn't want to have anything to do with this, because if I'm right, and that's the case, it shows.

Never I've played a game that I hated to love and loved to hate this much.
Everything you've heard is true, from the dumbed-down mechanics to the awful story with all its nonsensical plot twists, I really do feel like I don't really have to point out every issue here, all FO4's problems are self apparent and have been talked to death already, what I'll say though is that the main saving grace for this sorry excuse of a Fallout entry is the gameplay loop, credit where credit is due what they came up with is quite addictive indeed, I only wished that everything surrounding it wasn't the gaming equivalent of Tofu.

Silent Hill: Downpour4
Dec 7, 2023
Easily the worst conventional Silent Hill game by far.
Bad and incongruous story, painfully awkward dialogue, clunky gameplay, pointlessly limited inventory system, and worst of all it had jack all to do with Silent Hill in the first place, they could have literally set this game anywhere else, and it would make zero to no difference in the context of the story we were given. This shoddy excuse of Konami's attempt at retooling silent hill without the team that made it great and memorable in the first place was nothing but mediocrity incarnate.

Hard to think that this is the same company that made that terrible Rambo Arcade Shooter almost a decade ago.
Really solid AA shorter title with lite RPG mechanics that fully lives up to its name, the game knows what it wants to be and achieves it fully.
The only real major fault this game has is the lack of replayability, I really wished that it shipped with NG+, this title practically begs you to be played again with all unlocks.

It's a boring not optimized at all, shallower version of Fallout 4, and Fallout 4 is an already shallow and unoptimized game. Worth it in maybe 3 years or so at 30 bucks when it finally runs as well as it should and mods fix all the annoyances that the vanilla Bethesda experience is known for. Seriously guys, play your damn games before releasing them, the mod community cannot be a substitute for your shoddy developers.

Starfield2
Sep 7, 2023
Starfield is another Bethesda game that fails to revolutionize the formula of loot-shoot-return that the studio is infamously known for at this point. I was expecting more, but there's not one system that's at least flawed to a minor degree. -Ship building is fine, but the fun stuff is locked behind perks. -Space combat is mindless and boring, the only thing that determines if you win or lose is level difference and perk investment. -The story feels generic and uninspired. -Gameplay is fine, but I wish there was a bit more, the powers are just another version of Skyrim's shouts but other than being a novelty they just fade in the background, and they eventually lose their appeal. -Perks lock you out of BASIC GAMEPLAY FEATURES, and sometimes they're required to complete quests, so you can get locked out of them. -The amount of loading screens in this game is astonishing, want to travel to another planet? Loading screen, wanna land on a planet? Loading screen, don't wanna travel half a mile through a barren wasteland of a planet? You guessed it, loading screen. -Speaking of planets, how about 950 of them with absolutely nothing to do other than walking around aimlessly for some resources you can't even carry? -NPC faces look creepy and lifeless, they just kinda stare at you blankly, it really makes you uneasy. -Inventory management is a nightmare. -Performance while not egregiously bad is just not acceptable, I was damn constantly dropping below 30 every time I loaded in a big city like New Atlantis. There's more, but I'll stop there, overall I'm disappointed by this so called 25 years in the making "space opera".

It's a good game with about 30% of Soul Like that doesn't belong in there at all, it also last for way too long, clocking in at 30ish hours give it or take, I might have stomach it a little bit better if only there were at least more parts, but as it is, it can be somewhat barebones, (I.E. for example having only 3 or 4 types of quad legs).
Customization is really great though, you can go really in deep if you want it to

Holy moly, a game like this is pretty much one in a million. Amazing characters, amazing story, great build variety and great gameplay that's almost a 1:1 recreation of 5th edition D&D. Probably one of the best games I've played in years, and this is coming from someone that really isn't all that crazy about CRPGs. The only downside is that I wish that you could go crazy and get to level 20, but those 9th and 10th level spells can get crazy, so I'll imagine that implementing them would be a nightmare. Also, you can turn into a squid if you want to. (BTW, even if i usually never address this because obviously everyone is entitled to his own opinion, and I'm totally fine with people disagreeing with me not problem, I do find it pretty clear and funny that there's some poor sod dedicated enough to manually flag every positive review as not helpful, what a sad existence you are living my guy)

Just wow, people at Nightdive did a wonderful job with this remake, really nothing much to say, if you loved the original System Shock you sure are going to love this. Ironically, the only real issue that this game has is that it can faithful to a fault, we all know how obtuse the original System Shock was, and honestly I kinda wish they could have gone with the SS2 approach, but that's not the case at all, this game can be outright BRUTAL at times, I'll say that a guide in later levels is basically required, if you don't want to lose your mind that is. Best From game to date, amazing fast, visceral gameplay, intriguing Lovecraftian story, awe-inspiring bosses with amazing accompanying OSTs, jaw dropping visual presentation and trick weapons that although scarce are unique and fun to use. The only thing that keeps this game from achieving perfection in my eyes are the Chalice Dungeons. Chalice Dungeons, in case you don't know, are procedurally generated dungeons, that despite being considered extra content, give some amazing rewards, I'll say that they are basically required if you want to PVP at meta level with some specific builds. As you can imagine, most of the time they don't feel coherent and lack that neat level design that's present in the main game, but that's expected considering the nature of randomly generated content. I did also found them very poorly balanced, it always feels that you're either way too overleveld or underleveld, In theory a good Idea, but executed very poorly.

I'm honestly baffled at how horrifically bad the story was, lots of collision bugs and on top of all of that you have to deal with unbelievably clunky tank controls alla PSX style of survival horror games, performance was also honestly subpar for what essentially was a puzzle game. The Last of Us Part II0
Feb 7, 2023
I finally got around it and played this mess, and Oh Boy, let me say that this is the one game that If I could, I would give a negative score. Without going into specifics, you have: -Gameplay literally lifted from a 2012 game -Poorly written, unlikable and unrecognizable "characters" (In the case of Ellie ESPECIALLY) -Some of the most cringe inducing pandering I've seen in my life -Generic "revenge bad" plot -One of the worst "partings" to a beloved character to date -THE grossest sex scene ever put in a video game to date Really, I take even an Issue with people that say to give it a shot and play this game because it looks "graphically impressive". You see, when you have a story driven game and the story is an absolute disaster, graphics don't really matter in my book, saying: "But it looks good though!" is a very shallow compliment for something that really doesn't benefit the overall experience in any way that I would consider substantive, especially if you realize how weak the other two components are. And sure, it's a great extra if the game looks nice, but it should never, EVER, be the focus you strive for (See the Order 1886). No wonder there was a massive exodus from Naughty Dog after this game was released, I can't think that in good faith a lot of people working there saw this and thought it was ok in any capacity. And you better leave your other IPs alone from now on, I shudder to think what a Neil Druckmann Jak & Daxter or Uncharted game post TLOU2 would look like. As for future entries, do whatever you want with this series, get aliens involved, IDFC, at this point my investment is dead and buried, I'll probably skip part 3 and watch the cutscenes on YouTube or something like that.

This game has some very serious performance issues on PC, but after the last patch it isn't as bad as people say, combat is on the repetitive side, but it's passable (except for when there's more than one enemy, then it falls apart), story veers from pretty bad to average, the atmosphere, texture work and visual presentation are amazing but that immediately falls apart when you realize that the game really isn't all that scary, probably give it a chance if you're a **** for visuals when it inevitably goes on sale in a couple of months or buy it when it's finally patched up with all the additional content in a year or two for a fraction of the price.
