If this is truly the last Ratchet and Clank release then rest assured that the series goes out with a bang. It’s one of the games of the year and an outstanding exclusive for the Playstation 3.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is not only the pinnacle of the saga—it’s a game that outshines even the most celebrated titles of its generation. While many hail The Last of Us as untouchable, the truth is that Insomniac delivered a richer, more inventive, and ultimately more enjoyable experience here. Why It’s Superior Gameplay Depth: Unlike the linear corridors of The Last of Us, A Crack in Time offers freedom, exploration, and ingenious puzzles with the time-manipulation mechanic. It’s a playground of creativity rather than a guided movie. Innovation: The Clank time puzzles are pure genius, blending logic and experimentation in ways Naughty Dog never dared to attempt. Replay Value: Where The Last of Us relies on scripted drama, A Crack in Time thrives on gameplay variety—space exploration, weapon upgrades, and endless experimentation keep it fresh long after the credits roll.Tone & Identity: It balances humor, heart, and adventure without drowning in self-seriousness. It’s fun, imaginative, and timeless, while The Last of Us often feels like it mistakes misery for depth. Final Verdict: This isn’t just another Ratchet & Clank—it’s the saga’s crown jewel, a game that proves creativity and gameplay mastery trump cinematic pretension. A Crack in Time is superior in every way, and anyone still clinging to The Last of Us as “the greatest” needs to accept that the Lombax and his robot already claimed that throne years ago.

As someone who has played more than 200 games and discover this series only recently, I have to say that this is probably the most underrated videogame of all time. An absolute masterpiece from start to finish 10/10.

Even though there’s not much different or new about this sequel when compared to the last game, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time manages to be one of the most enjoyable titles released this year.

If A Crack in Time is indeed the final Ratchet & Clank game, then the series has been finished the right way - with a solid game that doesn't stray from what fans love while giving them plenty of service in the process. And in this way, it's also guilty of playing it a bit safe, but when expectations are that high, and are met, it's a sure sign of a quality game.

A great game marred only by a pervading sense of dj vu, then. But when the quality bar is raised this high, deja vu be damned - we couldn't care less. We just sincerely hope that Insomniac see reason and postpone killing off their strongest franchise for a some time yet.

With a few good additions to the solid gameplay, and ignoring the one not-so-good space combat addition, A Crack in Time is a great conclusion to a great trilogy - and possibly the series.

It's not that A Crack in Time is all fur coat and no knickers. The problem is, it's all fur coat and the same knickers it's been wearing for seven years. Time for a change.

This is objectively the best game in the series and by far one of the best PlayStation Exclusives of all time. It has amazing weapons and controls, the best puzzles in an action game, great platforming section and the addition of the free roaming with your ship, across moons with amazing level design.

The game is alright, definitely a huge step-down from the PS2 trilogy, but it can be fun in parts, the real problem is that story, the whole last of its species superman/chosen one trope is super played out, and has no place in these games, especially considering how out of nowhere that plot point is thrusted upon the protagonists between ToS and Crack in Time, it's just very contrived and kinda forgettable, even for the series standards.

Much like Tools Of Destruction, the game is all about destroying everything possible whilst exploring different planets. The characters are even more goofy than the first and the story is a bit more developed than the first. However, it still doesn't feel fully realized and feels too simplistic. That's a huge criticism as a good story is required for replayability. This is fun but definitely forgettable. Still, you won't be disappointed tho.

Everything is good, except the temporable displacment puzzles for clank and the terribly design space ship boss battles. Plus i missed the more zoomed in 3rd person camera from Tools of destruction

I found the games annoying and tedious to play. I just didn't find myself having a good time with this game and I must say this was more of a chore than an experience. I know many people had enjoyed this but for me I didn't like it.
