This DLC feels like coming home Shadow of the Erdtree perfects the ideas Elden Ring first introduced, giving us a richer, more vertical world, where exploration feels just as important as combat. If you are a fan of Fromsofts previous titles, you’ll find something to love in Shadow of the Erdtree

Okay but for real the greatest combat system of all time Or my favorite at least Gameplay marries world design, creating a atmosphere and experience that should measure up to Dark Souls, but somehow, against all odds, totally surpasses it. This game is more than the sum of it's parts, it is transcendent

The sheer amount of player expression that is possible is just insane. I've never once seen the same setup in PVP, every person has a different playstyle. That alone is special Apparently that wasn't enough for From Soft, so they decided to also add in one of the most innovative open worlds to date, a total revise to their difficulty with Spirit Ash's, enough content to fill 3 games over, and so so many secrets! But even with everything this game gets so so right, I'll always hold a place in my heart for the world and boss design of the souls series, which I just don't think Elden Ring can quite match

I love love love the combat in Kingdom Hearts 2. The game on display here is phenomenal. The extra activities, the boss fights, the secrets! (Sephiroth) All of it is polish to shining tee! The story is hilarious. Maybe it wasn't trying to be, but it was. If you try to take the game seriously you're not gonna have a great time, but if you just go in for fun? Kingdom Hearts 2 is an absolute banger!

I really, really liked this game It isn't perfect, in fact it's flaws are so obvious you'll see them mentioned in almost every review. It's pace is all over the place, and moments like Sephiroth's bloody trail through Shinra tower are ruined by Square Enix's decision to not include any type of blood in the game I'm also a bit worried about where the story is going. So far it holds up strong, but I'm not a fan of the Dementor interventions. I sincerely hope this doesn't become Kingdom Hearts levels of stupid But you noticed the 9, right? This game is incredible. Every little detail is brought out, from the Midgar skyline to the bright colored alcohol Tifa serves at her bar. The characters are back! Cloud is no longer the stoic badass he's portrayed as in the extra media, now he's back to his original self. The cold but heart of gold trope has never looked so good on Cloud. The game perfectly displays Cloud's persona and the person hiding inside, and it does just as good at job showing off the lovably fun Aeris (no I didn't misspell it) and her attempts to dismantle Cloud's ego and get to the person he really is. The combat is satisfying and a genius way to mix turn based attacks with a real time battle system, and on Hard mode the game can be a real challenge. The music is brought to life with a full orchestra. The original soundtrack was one of the greatest game OST's of all time, and somehow this game elevates it to stratospheric proportions

The Eikon battles are some of the most spectacular and thrilling battles to ever grace the Final Fantasy series, they are divine! Too bad that's the only thing this game gets right. The combat is actually pretty fun... at first. The moves are solid, there isn't a ton of depth but what's there is fun. The problem comes when you get a third of the way through the game, at that point the game is just ability spam after ability spam after ability spam. Three power sets at once was far too many, it would of been far better if you only had a single move set, but had three abilities instead of two. Then you could swap in different Eikons on the same move set to add to player expression. The story starts strong, but quickly get dragged down by a terribly boring big bad, and an overly convoluted time skip. The best characters in the game you barely see. The best cut scenes are the ones Clive doesn't appear in at all. And for some reason Square Enix decided to make this single player story game into an MMO, just without the player. Every single side quest is a copy and paste from FF14. That works there, but not here. This game is not an RPG. It just isn't. Your stats don't matter, the enemies stats don't matter, your gear does nothing, there are no choices. I really wanted to love this game, because I love FF14, but it just fell short in so many ways. 6 feels generous

CHAOS Eh hem, sorry couldn't help myself The gameplay is quite solid actually, and the different classes are fun to experiment with. My major gripe is the repetitive missions. You have to go back and clear the same missions over and over to level up your gear, and by the endgame when you've already unlocked most of the classes, that's just tedious.

One of the most compelling action adventures in all of gaming, with slick grappling take downs, better driving than 90% of the market and the most insane, jaw dropping set pieces. But seriously though, that grappling hook? And those rock slides?! Chefs kiss and then some The story is quite brilliant, even if it loses a bit of the humor that made the second games characters so fun and charming. What we have here is a look at who Nathan Drake is, and what drives him. Can he break out of the addiction of adventure to live a normal life with Elena? Or is the promise of one last adventure too exciting to let go?

Celeste is one of the greatest platformers of all time. It is so tight and precise and fun! Every level is perfectly fine tuned, and the strawberries-- Oh the strawberries! They fit so seamlessly into the game, they are the perfect collectable! The story is just so heartfelt and meaningful, no matter where your at in life you can relate to Madeline. Her quest to climb to the top of the mountain for no reason other than to prove that she can, despite her panic attacks, it is just so real. I was invested within the first 5 minutes of playing

The craziest thing about Fallout 76 it that it's RPG systems are some of the best Bethesda has ever made, and leagues above what Fallout 4 had. You can actually role play a character and use your stats it interesting and useful ways! (What?! In my Fallout?!) Too bad it's bolted on to the single worse cash grab in Bethesda's long and sorted history. Fallout 76 is tedious and sloppy and as fun as the new updates are in a vacuum, you simply can't escape how bad the rest of the game is.

I've spent 500 hours in Fallout 4. The core gameplay loop is addicting, collecting junk around the world to scrap and later use to modify your weapons is just such a brilliant idea! The gunplay isn't great, but it's a step up from Fallout 3. The thing that really kills this game for me is its writing and RPG elements. It is in a word, surface level. The writing is fine. Just fine. The factions each have distinctive personalities, but you can't complete any of their quest lines without failing one of the other factions quests. (besides the Minute Men, but seriously who chooses the Minute Men) That wouldn't be a problem if the role play elements in this game were on point, but they aren't. The only time you can be a Brotherhood of Steel is during their quest line and never again. That's largely because Fallout 4 has the single worse dialogue system in any video game. The roleplay potential is totally shot down the gutter when your only options in the conversation are A. To agree with them, B. To disagree with them, C. To ask a question, or D. To make a dumbass remark. Who green lit this??? The companions are the best part of the game. Exploring the desolate and wacky Boston ruins is made twice as fun when Nick Valentine banters with the raiders, or Pepper makes some snarky comment. I don't think Fallout 4 is a great game, but I do think it's a pretty damn fun one. Besides the Far Harbor DLC kicks ass!

Baldur’s Gate 3 sets a new standard for RPG’s, and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. I could go on and on about the quests, the writing, the D&D systems and the many adventures I went on in my multiple play throughs; but those aren’t the things that set BG3 apart. What does I hear you asking? Multiplayer! If Starfield was Multiplayer it would be an instant 10/10, please developers take notes! Make multiplayer a staple feature for RPG’s! The only reason I’m giving it a 9 instead of a 10 is because I believe Larian can shoot even higher, and I want to leave them the room to improve! If anyone can make a game better than BG3, it’s the people who made BG3!
