I really think that without a shame we can put this one next to RE 2, Silent Hill 2 and Dead Space ramkes, because the atmosphere, the village, plot and main characters are really strong points of this game and the gameplay is really addictive, if you like more slow and moody gameplay. But I can't get rid of the impression there was potential here for a real masterpiece, that Team Ninja buried by the weak and annoying fights and some archaisms that serves absolutely nothing. And it's a shame cause then I would choose this one as my game of the year, but for now I can said that it's "only" a great.

This is by far the worst of the bunch. Not only gameplay changes are ill-considered, like Cyianide can't figure out what the hell they want do with it, but the technical aspects of this game are just pure distaster. The game looks terrible, it's performance is unacceptable and the audio is really out of tune. I mean we have a stealth game with audio issues! Yeah, pretty dissapointed by this one.

If you want a real Rayman 1 experience just go play Rayman Redemption instead. It's free, making with heart, have more content and you don't support a greedy, worthless and falling appart corporate. In other words - this is ubi game.

This is not a good game. Plot is stupid, illogical and have tone of plot holes, dialogues are just cringe-worthy, long and pretentious load of nonsense that I ever seen, seasoned by awful voice acting and annoying characters (especially this infuriating boomer-dragon who just can shut up for a moment), and gameplay feels like shirttail of DMC series. Also many of cutscenes are just laughably awful by stiff and numb animations, because of what serious moments look funny and a funny moments looks serious. I mean I apreciate that this is passion project of Yang Bing, but this really shouldn't be published by Sony and costs nearly 80 dollars!

I don't know what is more shocking. The fact that Bloober make a great game, or that they didn't messed it up. Either the way this is the biggest surprise of the year and... I can't believe that I'm saying this... I'm waiting for more Silent Hill remakes from Bloober.

What this game needed it's fully remake, not just a bigger remaster. Because of that we got the same problems that had original (boring level design, tedious missions, untapped potential of the painting brush and many more) only with slighty better controls and quite nic graphics. Unfortunatelly it's definitely too little, to call this at least a good game.

When you do the propaganda card, make it at least fun, playable and likeable. Not a criplled God of War clone, with a stiff fight, annoying main character and AWFUL voice acting. Then maybe someone will listen to you.

What can I say? I just really enjoy this game, and all those praises are well deserved. I love the fighting, visuals, story and this oriental spirit. Everything here is just perfectly thought out and polished, that there is really nothing to criticize. The only thing I wish we have is platforming segments like in Star Wars Jedi frenchise, but other than that it's a great game and I can see why for someone this could be a game of the year.

This game kicked my butt so much and so many times, but I kept coming back for more. I just fell in love in the atmosphere, plot, characters and breath taking graphics. I never felt weariness playing this game and I really couldn't wait to come back to the New Kunlun and for the another honest and real conversation with Shuanshuan - the kid who in another game of this type would be annoying little brat, but here he's not only very likeable but you also you feel very strong sympathy for him. I really could talk about this game for hours, but for now I can only say that this is my personal candidate for game of the year. Just keep going RedCandleGames! You're breath taking!

How? How could you do something as dull, boring and clunky like this? I mean you had everything to make this great, and this is what we get? A nerf guns, explosions that looks and sounds like firecrackers and this bland and unforgattable levels? Aren't you ashamed guys? This might be the biggest dissapointment of this year. A second one by lobs from 3D Realms and Slipgate. Way to go guys, Way to go!

I really tried to like this game, but the only thing that I felt during the gameplay is frustration and tiredness. First thing first - I don't think that this game is BAD, far from it. You can feel how many heart and feelings Christian Whitehead put in this game, especially in how this game looks. But I really think, that what puts down this game is a pace and controls. It's like this game can't decide if it's want to be fast like Sonic games or slower and more action-oriented one like Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so it stands with feet apart not being good in any of it. I would be more kind for the game if there wasn't any competition, but over the years we get many better 3D platformers, that are much more polished and concetrate on what they want to do with itself. Overall for me a quite big disappointment.

I know that this game won't impress most of the players (hey, I think that most of them won't be interested in this one), but personally I fell in love in A New Beginning, and exploring the Adelpha and helping Talans was very satisfying for me, unlike the barren, boring and dull planets on Starfield. You just feel, that this one was made by a love and passion, and I'm so sad that it won't get the exposure it deserves. Still I praise THQ Nordic for trying to refresh Outcast franchise.

Oh please, this is an Ubisoft game. What do you expected? A great AAAA game with smooth mechanics, well-thought-out gameplay and without rude microtransaction?

Well the best thing that I can say about this one is that is a... game. And it have open world. Yeah... I felt nothing while playing this.

This is a fantastic little gem among all 3D platformers, that was released over the few years. The character control is just smooth like butter, the level design is top-notch and the world is really mysterious and embrolled. Just give it a chance, cause it's cost only a few bucks!

This is a game that will have so many followers as much as opponents. Personally I really like this game - I love this wacky and surreal world, because it's nothing I saw before in any other game (except ZC 1 and ZC2). I really like Pseudo and the Boy as main characters and their relationship. Also I think that combat system is really, really great because it's simple to play but hard to master, and it have this stiffness that is sometimes need in a games. Overall I think that this is very good game, but I can't recommend it for everyone. But if you like other ACE Team works then this one is definitely for you

Just a perfect and well polished platformer 2D, with wacky 90's cartoon style, which has been missing for a long time. If you missed Wario Land series, or games like Earthworm Jim that you gonna love Pizza Tower.

At last we got good Sonic game! After disappointing Forces, Sonic Frontiers is a breath of fresh air that this franchise really need. I very like that it's take inspiration of other games (especially Mario Odyssey and Shadow of the Colossus) but also try to stand on it's own legs. Still I don't think that everything here is done right - this game have kinda repetetive structure with collecting same mcguffins, watching a little boring cutscenes and playing those horrible Cyberspace levels. Those levels are the biggest ball at the foot for this game, cause they're lazy, clunky and have one of the worst controls ever made. I don't know what they're doing here. But I still think that this is a very good way for future games from frenchise and next time we will get a much better game.

This game just... exist. It's not terrible or something but it's souless, shallow, corporate product that noone gives any heart or warm on it. Everything here is just worse and waterdown version of Arkham series with unnecessary looter-shooter garbage. Definitely one of the biggest disappointment this year.

My personal game of the year. This is just boomer-shooter where everything is done right - great and complex level design, fantastic looking and sounds weapons, tone of gore and blood and of course retro look but other than many games from the genre. All of this made Prodeus a new king of boomer-shooters, which deliver us true symphony of destruction!

Mix point'n click adventure game with classic beat'em up shouldn't work. But somehow developers were able to reconcile them with each other. Not only this, but also characters are very likeable, story kinda intriguing and this Tale Spin/Hanna-Barbera art-style is really enjoying. Not a candidate for a game of the year, but still one of the nicest surprises.

I'm just shocked how good this game is! After kinda disappointing predecessor (no bad by any mean), author took notes, analyzed what didn't work there and put a lot of work to improve everything. This is still not a masterpiece or game changer, but still one of the best 3D platformers of the year!

Thank you Nintendo for bringing us one big piece of nothing! We appreciate your hard work and devotion for your fans.

Yeah, Miyazaki and From starting to eats their own tail. I mean it's still a great game, but stylistics it's just another dark fantasy, with fallen kings, heroes and that stuff we saw million timies in other Souls games, and the gameplay is really nothing new or fresh in this formula. Bringing open world to dusty mechanics doesn't make a new game guys. It is shame, because Sekrio shows that this team have fresh ideas to improve gameplay. But this is just one big step backwards.

It's good that besides toilet humor and tone of gore, we also get a very good and solidly made 3D platformer with many ideas and creativity. Not a game changer but very entertaining production

Sometimes you really don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just give us fun from fighting with hosts of enemies, fill levels with collectibles and add some retro style to it. And this game proves that sometimes you don't need more to have a great game. Cowabunga!

I'll be honest - this is the first Kirby game I've ever played, but I'm actually fell love in this game. It's beautiful, colorful, creative and impossibly charming. This is how you doing costume based mechanic in your collectathon game Yuji Naka!

Can we agree, that Square Enix have some subdivision to making horrible games? I mean Balan Wonderworld, Quiet Man, Left Alive, Fear Effect: Sedna, Marvel Avengers, Mindjack and now this travesty.

This is not a good game. Not bad, not terrible, just painfully mediocre, criminally linear and scandalic short. Definitely not worth 39$.

It's humble, competently executed, not recombined and fun platformer 3D. Sometimes it's just all what you need

Yes. Someone in Rockstar looked at it, said "OK" and release it! This really is happening before our eyes, guys.

It's fine... I guess. I mean the artistic vision and world design is really breathtaking and something what we haven't seen for many, many years. This is not just "Burton inspired" but it's 100% Burton-like (good Burton-like). But gameplay is... clunky. We do nothing interesting or engaging through all game. And fighting system is just awful, clumsy and down right not fun. Such a shame that Zoink repeats mistakes from Fe - we have great climate, visual feast and not bad story, but gameplay is just meh.

Criminally untapped potential for "comedic medieval". Boring missions, tone of stupid decisions, awful combat model and just bare bones gameplay. Constant appeal to Monty Python isn't funny and clever guys, y'know?

I love how colorful, creative and complex this game is. This is something, what we really need in gaming industry.

This must be the best oldschool-but-new-shooter ever made. Not only it's looks gorgeous, but this Hexen/Heretic setup is kinda refreshing in genre.

No only it's great, huge, complex and incredibly addictive, but also it's a breath of fresh air in all 4X genre. Amplitude are just masters of the trade.

This... is not a good game. It's too long, too tedious and it's just waterdown version of previous games. Definitely the worst in the series

This is one of those games, that is built by characters and interaction between them. I can't imagine better and truer friendship in game history than between Sal and Larry. Not only that, but also stylized on '90 cartoon graphics looks very stylish and unique. And of course big plus to characters from being a metalheads!

From whatever perpective I look from I see masterpiece. I love everything about this game - story, characters, lore, graphics, music, voice acting, nearly everything is perfect. This is truly one of my top 5 games of all time

Absolutely and shameful disaster. This game have no style, no good characters and overall it's full of WTH reactions. Controls are awful, powerups are garbage, level deisgn is just painful and plot is just "everyone have worse life than you" **** I mean c'mon guys, it's 2021! Even indie developers can do more ambitious and complex 3D platformers! And here we have Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima and Square Enix and we got this? Just laughable!

Bloober Team really need to stop trying do a horror games. When Medium is focus on characters and story telling is good. But when we must run from stupid giant piece of garbage with wings and Cookie Monster voice, than the only thing you feel is cringe than fear. It's far for being bad game, but I also can't call it a good one

Warm, honest and lively relationship between our lovers is what creates that game. I swear to god, that I never saw such charming and lovable couple, as Yu and Kay. From gameplay perspective it's fine - I love exploration of Source, and discover it's history. The only thing that I hate is chaotic and awful fight mechanic, that looks like waterdown version of Final Fantasy. But other than that I think that I honestly love this game. One of biggest suprise of this year

This game is too safe and too conservative. I mean it's not a bad game by any mean, it really could scare in some point, and plot is pretty ok. But Frictional Games really need a fresh ideas, bigger budget and new game engine, becouse formula on those games really run out. Time for changes!
