BROK the InvestiGator is very much an experiment, but it’s an experiment that works. As the second title out of COWCAT Games, it shows real growth and actually has me looking forward to what comes next from this one-man studio.

Brok the invstigator has very charismatic characters, an emotional story and very creative combinations for a videogame, some story elements can get confusing but the game knows that and rewards the player thanks to their desitions,

BROK the InvestiGator is a bold and explosive burst of 90s nostalgia that plumb the depths of the adventure game genre for its best ideas and piles them, one on top of the other, for an unforgettable thrill ride. While it may slightly disappoint as an action game or a playable cartoon, it may just earn a place in the graphic adventure game canon.

A very unique indie game that combines a side-scrolling brawler with the "Point-and-Click" detective theme. The storyline is very engaging and there are about a dozen different endings you can get - all depending on the choices you make throughout the game. The graphics fill you with nostalgia for those classic cartoons, the combat mechanics are pretty smooth and fun, and the music's catchy as well. You can tell a lot of hard work went into making this game, and I hope to see a sequel soon!

Brok the Investigator is a charming take on a classic genre, regardless if the systems don’t play nice with each other. The story has a slow start, and the combat is a bit messy, but those who stick around will discover some great moments of investigation gameplay and memorable character interactions. Brok may not always be the best choice for the job, but the heart that is in this title will keep you engaged.

Epic adventure, hard to put down. Great characters and great beat 'em up action to spice things up. Perfect voice acting, better than most AAA titles. Tons of choices with real impacts (looking at you, Telltale) I highly recommend.

Mix point'n click adventure game with classic beat'em up shouldn't work. But somehow developers were able to reconcile them with each other. Not only this, but also characters are very likeable, story kinda intriguing and this Tale Spin/Hanna-Barbera art-style is really enjoying. Not a candidate for a game of the year, but still one of the nicest surprises.

Too much blah-blah dialogues and sub-par voice-acting, and nonsensical puzzles. The dialogues are mildly funny at best, i never cracked a smile. The art-style and UI are good, but also confusing. too many things going on to keep track on. The fights are a direct copy of 90's brawlers, you need to stand on the exact same vertical pixel as your opponent, i really didn't want to experience that again. Might have worked 2 decades ago, but this feels very outdated. Nice try tough, somewhat close, but absolutely no cigar. This is not a new "Flashback" or "Return to monkey Island" wich it tries to be.
