Like a gentler Monty Python venture, Galavant pokes, prods and pummels current events. It doesn’t get down and dirty, but it isn’t afraid to wallow every now and then. When it does so with a little song and dance, there’s enough fun to last longer than 30 minutes.

This is a deceptively difficult form to nail; often those who try end up with little more than a collection of flatulence jokes. Done right, though, as it is in "Galavant," a mindless comedy is not the same as a dumb comedy. It’s smart, just in a carefree way.

A humorous and charming little show! The creators of "Tangled" and "Crazy Stupid Love" have created a somewhat family friendly version of Game of Thrones with this piece of fun work that add twists in typical middle ages cliches. Filled with outrageous puns, lovable characters, , charming musicals, special cameos, and good old middle ages fun! A fun treat for the whole family! (If you can't watch Game of Thrones with you parents, this might work.)

This is currently one of my favorite shows on television. The writing is funny and the songs are well **** feels like going to a regular musical.

Galavant's second season improves upon [the first season's] memorably anarchic humor in a way that feels revitalized and once again energetic.

While it's cleverly conceived and occasionally witty, "Galavant" generally plays like a narrowly pitched come-on to theater geeks and fans of early Monty Python.

The first season was so much fun, but I thought, this will never survive; it's just not what people watch. So I was shocked when it got a second season. And that second season was even funnier than the first. And I thought, this amazing show is a hit after all, hurray. And now I learn it was canceled. Explains why the second season finale was so neatly wrapped up. It's nice they gave us that, at least.

With it's massive nods to Monty Python's Flying Circus this is one of the most witty and original comedies that I have seen in years. The jokes are funny, the songs are catchy, the writing is brilliant and it is perfectly cast. In the spirit of "less is more" I am OK with the fact that it has been cancelled - before it had a chance to become tedious or predictable.

**** it, cancellation bear indeed. Galavant is back with a second season, and it looks like their brush with near-cancellation made them take things a bit more seriously. The plot and characters are already more engaging, the songs and humor are more on-point, and I'm actually excited to see where things are heading.
