Lost

Lost is a different genre, one that may infuriate even the loyalists, but there's something impressive and rewarding in its density.

The most intriguing thing, actually, is that Lost may not even need the hoodoo voodoo. Abrams and script creator Damon Lindelof ("Crossing Jordan") have already set up a pretty compelling cross- section of earthlings as a study of simply human behavior. [19 Sept 2004, p.11]

While enthusiasts of the genre might warm to the idea of an open-ended mystery, it's suspect how well the show will hold up without a more concrete sense as to what's really happening, barring Gilligan and the Skipper showing up to whisk them away.

The Lost season three finale was no fluke. The show has got its mojo back, and then some.

The season's premiere represents pig-in-the-python storytelling--there's so much to work through, so many details, stories, characters and time dimensions to attend to, that after a while this all starts to feel like a very full meal.

Abrams and his co-creator Damon Lindelof ("Crossing Jordan") do a terrific job of piling on the plot twists, but they neglect to provide a believably textured world, or any time for the characters to interact between crises. As a result, Lost is at once heart-stopping and strangely dull.

This is the show that got me addicted to TV, love the mystery, they characters, love everything, even the ending which I thought was perfect.

Season 1 of this show isn't exactly perfect and quite slow but still full of great ideas. Season 2 takes the show to new heights with what's probably one of the greatest seasons of TV in history. 3 is pretty much the same as 2 but 4 is when things start getting questionable as the show really starts to feel like it's not going to bother answering many questions and it starts getting confusing. Season 5 is where things start to fall apart as it becomes a mess of so many different little things going on. Started 6 but just couldn't do it.

Well, it's fine to binge once in your life. The twist on twist gets a bit boring after a couple of seasons.

This Mystery Box had no idea where it was going, and kept adding twists to keep the show going. The problem is that eventually we all realized that the story was actually nonsense and it ended with a dud.

One of the worst shows of all time. The writers constantly lying to the audience just to draw them in. Nothing ever gets resolved... Entire seasonal arcs or brushed off within seconds.
