The first season made me histerical laugh every five minutes. The frequency of hilarious jokes is extremely high. I had to press stop sometimes, to relax, because I still was laughing about the last joke when the next bomb hit. Topping that, in the second season it tells a beautiful love story. Ask yourself, what is the greatest idea to tell that two people are made for each other. This show has it. It blew me away.

Fleabag is a unique artistic experience that blends deep sarcasm with true human pain. Phoebe Waller Bridge's writing is sharp and intelligent, exposing the fragility of the human soul behind the masks of power and cynicism. Work deals with isolation, guilt, and the desire for salvation in an honest and painful way, without any attempt at beautification or exaggeration. Acting performance is amazing, dialogue is genius, and directing is simple but serves meaning intelligently. It is rare to do a job with such boldness and honesty, laughing bitterly and leaving you in a long silence that disassembles you from within. Fleabag is not just a series, but an open confession from a lost soul looking for meaning.

A must watch for anyone who has ever felt lost and directionless in their life. Waller-Bridge draws us into her world of unreliable narration and quirky family dynamics that will have you laughing and crying.

Plot & StructureThe series follows the life of Fleabag (a name she humorously embraces), a witty, self-sabotaging, and emotionally complex young woman navigating love, loss, and identity in contemporary London. Across its two seasons, Fleabag wrestles with fractured relationships, guilt over a traumatic past, and the struggle to find meaning in the chaos of modern **** genius lies in its fourth-wall-breaking narrative. By addressing the audience directly, Fleabag establishes an intimate connection, making viewers her confidants. This narrative device not only enhances the humor but also underscores her vulnerability, revealing layers of emotion and thought often concealed in her interactions with others.

I forced my friend to watch this entire show in one sitting, he loved it. Fleabag is an unethical, cynical, reckless, and irresponsible woman, she is, however, incredibly relatable. Her absurd behavior truly is what we all want to do but can't, our deepest impulses. Phoebe Waller-Bridge's ability to convey this accuracy to real-life awkward, sad, and lonely experiences is mindblowing. This show has a way of sticking with you for a very long time after the first watch. It is comforting on one hand, and heartbreaking on the other, with the occasional gut punch of some of the best comedy to come from England since Monty Python. Season 2 Episode 1 is the best first episode of a season ever made, with the whole episode essentially being a dinner scene, it constantly keeps you on your toes, refreshes your memory on the tone of the series subtly, and shows the passing of time from season 1 to season 2 with such ease. I will always come back to this show. Every friend I make in the future will be forced to watch this entire show in one sitting, and they will love it too.

Entertaining and filled with witty humour but feels human and real, loved the filming style. Also felt rich and a really full storyline despite the show itself being so short.

Good, short show which felt like a version of Miranda I could get behind. Waller-Bridge is a fantastic writer and actor, instantly drawing you in as a character to root for and laugh with. And feel sad with. The best comedies always weave in a bit of sadness, just enough to remind you that you're laughing in spite of your own, and Fleabag does well with doing that at certain points in the show. The dialogue between characters like Fleabag and Claire are also a high point, with a compelling sibling dynamic that we feel part of. All around great show, I'd take more of this.

I loved both seasons the first time around, so I recently re-watched it. This time, I was struck by the opportunities for greatness that were lost by failing to follow through on the troubling issues it raises. One would be her failure to even consider changing her behavior after it cost her a friend. It haunts her, but not enough to hesitate before having sex with every guy she encounters, with not a thought about other people their coupling might affect. So of course her guilt rings hollow. Another opportunity comes in Season 2 (which is far better than 1). Never a question about why a priest has to "choose" in the first place. Why? Any intelligent person who follows the requirements of priesthood in that particular church (it isn't required in other ones) would question it - especially if the stakes are high for them personally, and love is in play. No, we just get winks. Sometimes we need more than that. Going a tad deeper doesn't mean truncating the humor. Ms. Waller-Bridge is such a fine writer; I'm sure she could pull it off. Season 3, maybe?

A very good comedic show with characters that are likeable and unlikable but in the best ways. The fourth wall breaks are well placed and executed and the show does not overextend its stay when it comes to episode count and length. Also features from stellar acting especially from Pheobe Waller-Bridge.

I watched Fleabag thinking it's gonna be something like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. A comedy series with a female lead who is funny, and has social commentary about how people behave. I had already thought that this is going to be very good. The thumbnail of her crying with her mascara coming out made it seem like it's gonna be something emotional too. But it turns out this was a hot pile of garbage. The moment it began with Fleabag trying to be relatable saying, "You know how it feels when you have a one night stand with someone and then realise he's not the kind of a person who you were thinking and something something kissing sex sex?" Yeah sure, who doesn't know how that feels like? It's something that happens everyday, right? I thought it was meant to say unrelatable things in such a way that it seems relatable, but it turns out it wasn't that, because later on she keeps speaking like this the whole show. The only thing this serial talks about is banging. There's Fleabag who only keeps thinking about sex, there's the stepmother who makes **** on the wall, there's Fleabag's boyfriend who keeps texting her to send pictures of genitals because he's horny (seriously, who asks for genitals on being horny?). Her sister is horny, her friends are horny, everyone she dates is horny. No one even thinks logically. Fleabag ruins his mother's party in the last episode because...? There are occasional funny scenes like in the beginning of Season 2 where she says her dad is dead but then says he's alive. There are 6 episodes in each season, each episode being less than half an hour which begs the question why is this even a series and not a film. I just ended up wasting time. So overall there's no character development, no humour, no story, no world building, no logic. Just sex jokes. There's nothing worthwhile to watch in this pile of garbage. It doesn't have anything that will carry on with you, something you could look back to. You know how much I hated it considering I have never given a 0 star review to any show before.

An original, heartfelt, risque comedy which often subverts the audiences expectations and uses clever narrative techniques to break the fourth wall without **** the illusion. All the characters are interesting and compelling, the cinematography is top level and the writing is sharp enough to cut into the hardest of souls.

I'm just shocked by the positive feedback this has. I don't get it. What has this show done to earn a 9.4 or whatever it has among critics? Mediocre television. There are shows that does everything this show does significantly better, while not having such an annoying lead character.

Written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge Fleabag, which is based on Waller-Bridge's one-woman show, focuses on a young woman living in London known to the viewer as ‘Fleabag’ A comedy-drama in the true sense, Fleabag can be laugh out loud funny one moment and incredibly depressing the next yet it all fits together brilliantly thanks to Waller-Bridge’s writing and acting skill. It can be a little dark, and rather rude, in places so won’t be for everyone but this is one of the BBC’s best series of recent years.

This would have worked SO much better as a movie. There's simply not enough there for it to be stretched out into a series and no one wants to watch such a depressing and awkward show every day after working all day. Shows can certainly have some depressing and awkward moments, but this show is very one-note. On the upside, the acting is rather good.

It's another hugely overrated TV comedy about a self-absorbed, navel-gazing, tortured, neurotic lower middle class woman with assumptions of artistic grandeurs. You can't help to notice that all-too-familiar British fake modesty lurking in the soul of our protagonist. The asides cast at the audience feel forced and belie any attempt at a genuine artistic motivation since real cinematographic artist will convey feelings without resorting to words. What we are left is a comedian trying to make us laugh at her own **** if no one had done this before. Maybe those young presumptuous artists should watch Woody Allen or just simply do bad stand-up. YAWN

Pretty great and funny show, the first season devolved to.much into a sad depressing.affair and lost a lot of the humor that I watched this show for, that being said the 2nd season was way better and uplifting in this regard, still had drama but never forgot about the humor

In this second season, Phoebe Waller-Bridge gift us one of the best comedy examples on TV this century with a reflexive point of view about love and aging without losing the fresh of the queen of comedy writing these days.

Skilful and substantial, Phoebe Waller-Bridge is exhaling her views, you might have know this subject before too, but she makes sure, you never went this far. Fleabag Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator, the blood and dust, the whole crowd, of the game, is practically confessing. The honesty, often similar to Lena Dunham's Girls, is the aspect that grounds this exaggerated cut-throat world that we all crave for. The writing is sharp, there is no denying that, but shot like a film, the execution is erotically beautiful especially, when it comes to balance the drama with the absurdity, that it, without failing, wishes to achieve so gleefully. No matter how sensitive and deeply personal an issue grows, the mockery is a part of how these characters breathe Plus, all the family drama that comes in every now and then, brimmed with sarcastic comments that casts quite a contradiction in its taste; the loud subtlety is the language which looks easily addictive and raunchy. The series also breaks the fourth wall which ironically, despite its vocab, it follows less Ryan Reynolds's Deadpool version and more Guy Ritchie's Sherlock-ian theory. The narrator is often questioned and after getting used to it, the switched authority is both fascinating and engaging. Personally, the motivational piece of ingredient in here is to be confident and brave enough to be persuasive in your manner. For instance, pointing out the elephant, is the theme of the party, then you shouldn't be afraid to rattle your audience with repetition and expressive innuendos. Waller-Bridge is never afraid to do so, she will **** off one more layer if it can tantalise you. And then there is always that slapstick humor at the back of your pocket, to block these calls from being a cheap shot; calculatively provocative and never manipulative. Fleabag, the last likeable person for us to be rooting for, is pretty much like a character from any gangsta film, the character begs for empathy as much as you get to know her, error is her crown and sarcasm her main weapon.

I don't agree with them when they say that this is a well done job for the creator because I think it's a waste of time to watch this person who is absolutely a loser and we don't find out any changes in it's personality. Maybe it's a good series to watch just to get to know something about this character but it's a little more than what it should be.

Season 2 of Fleabag is simply the best 3 hours I've ever spent in front of a TV. Just as witty as the Season 1, the latest - and final - season is also profoundly moving, soulful and heartfelt. Sian Clifford takes it to another level, and Andrew Scott, well, leaves me speechless. Lastly, Phoebe Waller-Bridge proves to be one of the most important artists of our - or any - time.
