This is a truly nerve-wracking horror story. One of the best I have seen in years. And it needs no monsters, just a beloved girl that stands in the corner of your sleeping room, in the dark, watching you sleep.

Quentin Tarantino recently praised this as one of the few good films he's seen lately. I agree. It's a good story. It focuses (in true Tarantino style, but not quite on that level) more on dialogue than action. When these people sit around the money and talk about it, it convinces me. Also, the film had a plot twist which I did not anticipate and I liked that. An above average cop movie.

If you're planning to watch this movie alone on a Friday night, you'd better call a friend so you can watch it together. Because you definitely won't want to be alone afterward. It's that scary. Therefore, I really don't understand why this film only has a 57 as its average critic score. I saw it dubbed in German; maybe the translation makes it so scary? Whatever, its a clean 10 from me.

Fascinating dialogue, superb acting across the board (What Abela and Fassbender in particular delivered in their dialogues was pure joy to watch) and a charming little story. I wish it had been twice as long.

I have read the book, and the film matches the spirit of the book quite good. Sean Connery, as well as Christian Slater, are great choices for the roles. I always stop and watch when the movie is on TV, never gets boring. If you have the chance to watch, don't miss it. You will be entertained. Oh yes, and read the book, of course :-)

If you liked "Spirited Away" and "Princess Mononoke", then you will like this one too. And take your family with you, including your grandparents.

What the F is wrong with the critics? Yes, the movie has some clichés, but it is well acted (especially Whitney Houston plays naturally) and the story is believable. Have seen it a few times. I would really love to see the critics explain why the movie is so bad in their opinion, maybe I can learn some. Until that day, I give the movie 8 out of 10.

Darwin version of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". Beautiful and strange and terrifying.

It feels like a wedding party I would enjoy to be part of, despite being an introvert.
