Thor: Ragnarok. The end of Asgard is near. Thor: Ragnarok is a vibrant and action-packed Marvel film, filled with humor and gripping action. Director Taika Waitiki has created a vibrant film that blends comedy, adventure, and fantasy. Hemsworth delivers a brilliant performance as Thor, while Hellsberg and Hiddleston add a touch of fun and drama. The visuals are stunning, and the soundtrack perfectly complements the atmosphere. This is one of the most entertaining Marvel films, leaving you in a good mood and eager to watch again.

By Odin's beard! Third time is the charm?! My gods it is amazing what you can get when you leave Portman at home and actually bring a good story, plot and character development!!!! Only downside is that Loki is back - again . . . Can't win them all I guess. Still an absolute blast that was fun to watch.

They took Planet Hulk one the Hulks best stories turned it into a Thor story and then made it way worst while also filling it with bad humor and removing any emotional weight

This is my favorite Thor film so far. It's funny, but can be serious when it needs to be. The new characters are pretty cool, and the same goes for the action. I really liked the story, and Thor's personality develops a lot. I don't think its comedic elements weaken the film, I can easily recommend it to everyone.

I think that Thor ragnarok is an amazing film, and I feel like it is the only good film in the Thor series.

Classic plot but manages to create an atmosphere and action scenes that make it enjoyable. Even the ending manages to be slightly different from what is usually expected from Marvel movies

With the inclusion of Hela and Surtur, this movie adds amazing visuals with a good plot. The acting portrayed by the main cast along with the humour of the script leaves the viewers forgetting of the seriousness of the plot, but it still maintains the seriousness as the story progresses and leads to the viewers enjoying the movie highly.

Ortalama ve üstü bir yapım. İzlenebilir. Serinin en iyi filmi desem yalan olmaz herhalde.

Apesar de terem exagerado na dose de humor, ainda consegue ser uma experiência majoritariamente positiva e bem memorável e foi o melhor filme do Thor já lançado

I had concerns after seeing Ragnarok's trailers. Not because they were weak, but more the opposite: I worried that the finished product couldn't live up to the steep expectations they'd set. That, and I had anxiety that the out-of-nowhere neon '80s theme would be a thin, superficial gimmick, slapped on to ride a trend and nothing more. In both respects, I couldn't have been more wrong. The trailer's just the tip of the iceberg for this epic, sprawling, colorful, unabashedly hilarious joyride of an adventure. It accomplishes the big blockbuster moments well, with power and meaning and a shiver-inducing use of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" at two key moments. The dialogue is right on-point for the duration, looser and more conversational than any of the previous Marvel films. Credit director Taika Waititi for that, allowing the cast to ad-lib freely in nearly every scene. Sakaar, a new planet that doubles as hub for all the universe's discarded crap, is a day-glow fantasy that would've been right at home in one of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. In that setting, the retro graphics and glitchy synth score (a wonderful contribution from Devo frontman Mark Mothersbaugh) feel natural, and we're able to enjoy a fresh perspective on the Avengers' resident lightning-slinger. It does attempt to do an awful lot - I haven't even mentioned Cate Blanchett's sinister turn as this week's dark flavor - and that gives the first hour a rather scattered, random personality. Everything comes together neatly in time for the grand climax, though, and I left the theater with a huge grin and a new favorite of the MCU. It's everything I wanted, and a few things I didn't know I needed.

Riotously funny and visually delectable. I do wish they had given Hela more to do than throw swords everywhere. One of the best needle drops out there.

I like the MCU adventures that don't take place on earth. They're more colorful, interesting and fun to watch. That said, the plot is basically the same again, the comedy was really bad, and the villain underutilized, like always in those films. Some effects looked really good, some didn't. The score is actually really good for a Marvel film. I think if Ragnarok was the first Thor movie, I would've loved it. At this point in the MCU, I'm just tired of all the cliches.

Thor: Ragnarok is one of the best superhero movies of all time, and Hulk is the best!

The start of the downfall the MCU imo. Making Thor a goofy joke and ineffectual in his own movie.

This movie was a joke. Despite being a film where an entire civilization's homeworld was destroyed nobody takes anything seriously. It's nothing but bad jokes and plot elements being thrown in from left field. It felt more like a bad fan fiction than a canon installment. The writing was absolutely dreadful and the characters, Loki and Thor especially, felt completely out of character. The pacing was far too quick and Hulk's presence was completely unnecessary and detracted from the film.

The best Thor movie, however you want to put it. It's not the version of him to be clear, we only see that in Infinity War, but it doesn't take a genius. Too bad then that this film was the joy and still the character's disgrace. Because Thor: Ragnarok not only shows you the playful and doting Thor, but also more. This thing that everyone, some more, some less, then must have forgotten.

An enjoyable superhero action movie. Most of the jokes land. The movie knows when to be serious and when to be a comedy. Something you can't say for other Thor movies. It's the best Thor movie and one of the best MCU movies.

The best Thor movie. They set up the humour up to elven, add a lot of great new characters and use elements of the “Planet Hulk” storyline from the comics. To be fair if you liked the prequels this is a complete different style and feels a lot like “Guardians of the Galaxy” which is for you to decide if its a strength or weakness. For me it is a strength. The movie follows the events of “Thor The Dark Kingdom” and “Avengers Age of Ultron”. Thor is fighting to prevent the future he saw in a vision where Ragnarök started and Asgard was destroyed. However things escalated when he visits his father Odin in Asgard and the sins of the past turn up. I am a bit vague here to avoid spoiler. The story is really entertaining, has great humour and makes great use of old and new characters. It is no wonder that most people say this is the best Thor movie and also a frequent top 5 contender for the MCU. I would point out also the great humorous Stan Lee cameo. I should also clarify it has a lot of serious themes and great battles. The epic final climax is amazing and has mayor consequences. The cast is a true strength. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston return to their roles as Thor and Loki and work amazingly well together with their great chemistry. Idris Elba as Heimdall is better than ever and he is my favourite side character in the Thor movies. Another familiar actor also returns but I do not know if naming him counts as spoiler as he was in the trailer. For the new characters they succeed in making everyone memorable and awesome. There is Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skruge and director Taika Waititi as Korg. All are excellent. Also they have a good antagonist with Cate Blanchett as Hela. In total we got an awesome performance by a great cast. I and almost anyone else too praise director Taika Waititi for the movie. As always the special effects are awesome. This time I also praise the costumes, sets and colourfulness. The movie has a unique style. For the soundtrack everyone I know enjoyed Led Zepplins “Immigrant Song” as its is so fitting. The rest is also enjoyable and delivers an enhancing atmosphere. Overall this was a pleasant and positive surprise. Rarely is the third movie the best in a franchise. It was entertaining from start to finish and deserved a 10/10. Bonus knowledge: The “Planet Hulk” and “World War Hulk” story line is one of the best stories of the titular character. He gets exiled, becomes a slave, liberator and saviour but a tragic events make him return to Earth for revenge. You have not seen an angry Hulk before as he will be named Worldbreaker.

The movie that revived faith into the beloved God of thunder. With Taika at the wheel they were able to successfully humanize a franchise that had been muddied by drama and lifeless characterisation (see:Thor dark world's). Opting for bright colors, careless humor and a lighter tone they create a wholesome third installment that even after all the praise I gave it for it's ambition fails to feel necessary or enjoyable to me further concluding my investment in the charater.

Woah. Best movie of 2017? LOL??? Okay, maybe not, but God! Taika Waititi became already an MCU-master and a comedy director genius! The 2 best Marvel films since 2008 in 1 year? It is true. Infinity War and Ragnarok. Ragnarok is funny as **** has great characters, those who maybe don't have so much background, so much emotional depth, or connection, but they're just GREAT to laugh at! And when the connection is there, yes, Thor & Loki's duo is fricking hilarious, they had the greatest moments in the film, even though this also had the worst villain ever EVER, just like Doctor Strange had, but while in that movie it was irritating, and the story was built around him, in Ragnarok, I just didn't care. The previous 2 were meh films, but the weirdest in all is that the trilogy's most non-mythological movie expands the most in its characters, Asgard, but, oh, wait, it also has the most creative bypass-sequence I've ever seen. Sakaar's folks, the Grandmaster, the Contest of Champions, all those little jokes, I love Waititi's style, the mix of the trash superhero movies, boring American comedies, and also some artistry, at least in the visuality, and its, sometimes unconventional techniques in storytelling. GOSH, need to watch it 1000000000000000000000 times again. Huh, lucky, cuz in Sakaar, time is not passing that fast. 7.75-8.25 level

Love this movie. The idea of family secrets definitely helps this movie. So does the idea of Found Family.

I didnt like the humour of the movie: childish and full of gags. In addition they destroyed the serious parts of the story, so I never cared about the fights.
The performance was bad by many actors, also some characters were boring or annoying (Hela, Grandmaster, Valkryie). The story is simple, too. What was good? some CGI effects were nice.

Finally a good Thor movie I like how it took Thor down a peg and had him realize that even someone like him can struggle or get beaten.

Kitsch and cringe. Full of action and shoddy humor. Extremely childish, the only MCU film which makes me agree with Scorsese, a low quality theme park. Exactly the path that cinecomics shouldn't take.

Easily the best of the Thor movies so far, Marvel chose wisely to entrust this franchise to Taika Waititi. The film suffers a bit when it gets to the more standard Marvel-like sequences on Asgard, but when Waititi is allowed to flex his creative muscles on a junk planet ruled by the one and only Jeff Goldblum, Thor: Ragnarok works splendidly.

This is the big shift in the Thor franchise. They understood that the comic book Thor can't be depicted on the big screen, so they changed the character for good. The new Thor in this fascinating and colored atmosphere is very funny and epic. They could do better with the villain characterization, but they could definitely do worse.

This film is 100% a comedy film but it actually works very well. This is the first great Thor as the other two were okay or bad. The performance from everyone was great especially Jeff Goldblum as he was hilarious. The action was pretty creative and colorful. Also, the interactions between Thor and Hulk were great. I just wish the villain was a little better as Hela was an ok villain. And the comedy did go to far at times. but still great movie.

This movie is SO much fun. The action scenes and soundtrack are epic. Another masterpiece of filmmaking from Taika. All the main actors are brilliant in it. The relationship between the brothers is paid off brilliantly and Hela is the best marvel badie to date! It’s a must see... watch it a few times!!

After the release of Infinity War, I had begun bingewatching all the MCU movies. And I'm not gonna lie to you. I wasn't feeling like watching this movie. After seeing Thor and Thor: The Dark World, I had taken the assumption that Thor movies are always bleak and lifeless. They always try to be serious when they can't possibly do it when they have characters like Thor, Loki and Odin. And so when it was time for me to watch this movie I was very reluctant, because I knew I can't skip it. But I'm glad I sat through this movie, because it was a huge improvement. The movie started out in Asgard, from the point where Thor: The Dark World left (and honestly the only thing I remember about that movie). The way that movie had ended, I had thought this movie would build more on Loki pretending to be Odin. But that ended immediately. Instead this movie focuses on Thor and Loki's estranged sister Hela, who had been abandoned by Odin at a young age. She easily manages to defeat both Thor and Loki and sends them to exile on Sakaar, with Thor reaching the planet two weeks after Loki. That was the part where the movie skyrockets the interest. I like everything about it movie from a cinematic point of view - the CGI, the acting, the comic timings, the story, the dialogues. Everything is absolutely perfect. I could undoubtedly say that this is one of, if not the best superhero movies which is not an origin story but rather a continuation of events. The comedy of the arc is the selling point. My favourite dialogue was the rock guy saying, "I planned to start a revolution but didn't publish enough pamphlets so hardly anyone turned up." After Thor, Loki, Hulk and Valkyrie come back to Asgard to stop Hela we get the best CGI ever witnessed with Thor. I really like how his eyes glow whenever he has to shoot lightning. I always wanted him to be like that. Thor really had a very drastic character development. I know many people have said this - he lost his father, learnt about his sister, his friends were killed, his precious hair was cut by none other than Stan Lee himself, he continuously got taken down by Valkyrie and lost against Hulk, his entrie planet got blown up and his people encountered Thanos in space. And yet this was the funniest MCU movie yet. And not just Thor, every scene that had Loki in it was always interesting too. However, this movie was obviously not without its set of flaws. For starters the elephant in the room, the amount of exposition that was given throughout the movie was too much, with most of it never being mentioned any time afterwards. There was even a scene where Thor is explained everything about Sakaar on a virtual trip, but it was never talked about afterwards nor was it necessary. If it wasn't for this unnecessary padding of runtime, I'd have given it 10/10. The Planet Hulk arc was also quite unexplored from the comics, and it would have been great if they made a spinoff movie on Hulk also since Hulk has never been given a solo movie starring Mark Ruffalo. Then the biggest plot hole, Valkyrie electrocuting Thor also didn't make sense since Thor is literally the God of Thunder and he shoots lightning from his hands. And then when Hela pins Thor he gets the ex-machina of his father telling him about his superpowers. Thor: Ragnarok is an excellent MCU movie. It's kinda sad that this can't be enjoyed unless you've watched Thor: The Dark World and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Because it could have really been cool to show to someone who has no idea what the MCU is all about. It does have the good reward to it, since you can watch Avengers: Infinity War after it. And the tone of this movie is so flexible that even the grim Infinity War completely suits in being its sequel.
