Bafflingly bad. Derivative, tired slop of the very worst kind. Like eating a rotten Hamburger that never was tasty or healthy to begin with, but now is riddled with mould and parasites.

9/10 because is not perfect. Rebel Moon Part 2 has everything I look for in a sci-fi film: intense action, emotional moments, stunning visuals, a strong story, great characters, a powerful soundtrack, full-scale war and a genuinely good villain; if you love fantasy, take a break from that world and dive into this one.

The second part feels bit of average. Part one was better in my opinion. The last 45 minutes was a good watch. Hoping for a better part three.

Snyders does give you some moment of visual brilliance.
Also Snyder does know how to direct cool action.
But this is so rediculous.
You have an army of soldiers with lazer weapons and tank machinery and spacecrafts fighting and losing a battle to farmers with sticks and swords and some weapons.
There are so many stupid things happening all around.
My **** meter hit 100

The Scargiver isn’t Part 2 so much as it’s the ending to Part 1 stretched and twisted to reach an overlong runtime primarily using slow-motion as a crutch to hide a lack of substance in style. I feel transported back to the 2010s when it felt like every YA film needed two parts to tell one story. I hated it then and I hate it now, and it leaves the bitter taste in my mouth that someone needs to step in and moderate Snyder’s overly ambitious but sadly underdeveloped ambitions. There are nuggets of gold here and there that glimmer with potentially juicy mythology that only needs to be tapped into. The scale is interesting despite the derivative ideas and, with some better choreographed action, Rebel Moon could take its solid soundtrack and create a space opera less reliant on forcing the viewer to watch faux flair and get their hearts pounding with some epic science fiction.

This is the worst thing I've ever seen. Everyone involved with this movie should be ashamed. Zack Snyder seems to be out of his god damn mind. I never liked his movies to begin with, but this is just beyond bad. And Netflix financed this? Did they even read the script? This whole thing reads like it was written by an AI, and not the fancy modern type, but something from like 15 years ago. Every line of dialogue is completely dumb and makes no sense, the acting is atrocious all across the board, the visual effects look like they've been made using Commodore 64.
Just the absolute low point in the history of cinema.

How many times have we bought kebab for a quick dinner or to eat it on the street during an evening with friends? With the homemade kebab recipe we explain how to cook it with your hands, for a version that is as tasty as it is genuine! This famous street food derives from a traditional Turkish dish, the döner kebab, which can be eaten on a plate or in pita, a round bread typical of Middle Eastern countries. The term döner, like its Greek equivalent, the gyros, refers to the typical rotating spit on which the spiced meat is stacked and cooked, and then cut vertically with a sharp blade to obtain strips. We tried to replicate the function of the skewer in the oven at home and with a little ingenuity and some long steel skewers we succeeded! Find out how to assemble your homemade kebab and prepare all the ingredients needed to fill this rich sandwich: we offer salad, tomato, red and white cabbage, ketchup and yogurt sauce... are you saying something is missing? Don't set limits to your imagination and let us know how you filled it!Also try the vegetarian kebab, a delicious variant that comes directly from Berlin! Also the movie is bad and aggressively ****.

It felt again overuse of slowmo, really predictable many action scenes and story quite genericoverall, so yeah, nothing special. it was ok and watchable, but forgettable too.

The first Rebel Moon gave me hope, with great production values and some good action sequences. The second part shows that this film...shouldn't be a second parter. Snyder may think that his 'epic' is equivalent to the likes of Dune, but it's not. There is not enough meat in the film itself and he ended up chucking exposition after exposition, with each character comically starting a flashback monologue (complete with Snyder's signature slo mo) that no audience would want to know. By the time the third act starts, we are already bored to tears by it. If you want a similar flick, better do a rewatch of Rogue One on your Disney+ subscription.

Overworked, underbaked. All the worst parts of the Snyder tool kit are on display. If you’re a big fan of his than maybe you’ll find it vaguely worth while but for the rest of us, save the two hours for anything else. If this is what Netflix is doing with the increased subscription fees, it may be time to cancel.

Ignore the critics! It's a fantasticaction movie! I want to see Part 3! Ignore the users hating on it.. Ask this to all the users.. Why are you watching the 2nd one if you didn't like the first one? Right.. I bet they watch the 3rd one when it comes out! Best movie I have seen in a long time!

As this movie is a copy&paste of countless others, I'm also copying what I wrote regarding the first part of this ur-kitch saga. Before I paste what holds 100 % true for both parts, I'll add that I was surprised how the second part was actually a bit more boring, more predictable than the first one. I'll definitely watch the third as I suspect we might be entering into truly abominable territory. "You may want to check this just to realize the extent to which our current sci-fi mainstream has exhausted itself. But there is no reason to persist watching, once you understand the basic idea. There is nothing whatsoever here that could surprise you, or even appear remotly unfamiliar. Just copy and paste material, through and through."

I cant give this movie even a single number. Its simply a ripoff of every other scifi movie. Total lack of originality.

The grain has more of a character arc than any of the main **** that's fine i guess since the grain scenes are also the best looking scenes in the movie.

What an upset to such a great first movie, just to be followed by this snooze fest. You have this great concept beginning with a lone worker heading out to grab great warriors to protect their village ( A Bug's Life) . Just to fall flat with terrible montages and the worse use of slow motion. The scar you will get will be from nodding off and smacking your head on the table in front of you. When you have to montage between the slow, monotonous job of harvesting grain, a job so riveting that you figured slow-mo is a great thing to weave in there (why?), and the cool sci fi scenes we are expecting throughout the whole movie, which are as severely lacking, you have a serious problem. Also why is the robot so under utilized? You have a great story start with, just to completely let any interest die and then bring it in the final scene is a really missed opportunity. Watch A Bugs Life instead of this. You won't have nearly as intense of a beginning but you also won't fall asleep waiting for the final battle scene. The characters will be far more relatable and their stories are far more interesting.

Don’t compare this to Star Wars and treat Rebel Moon just like another Netflix show and you will have a decent time. There is no catch up from part one. So if you have a short memory, best go back and watch part one again otherwise it does not take too long to work out what is going on.

Absolute dross, someone in Netflix needs fired for commissioning this disgraceful waste of moeny that could have been spent on decent content.

This is a pro-socialism anti-imperial/anti-fascist movie, but full of hypocrisy considering the imperialists are dressed in soviet inspired uniforms. It is jarring.

Holy ****, the opening narration/recap/exposition dump is some of the worst and most incoherent **** I've heard in my life. The extended sequence of flashbacks all in a row in the middle of the movie to describe every characters motivations is just ???????? and they are all the same??? This is beyond incoherent and impossible to follow. Zaddy slo-mo must be stopped.

The first half of the film is slow-paced and dragging, the final battle in the last hour is entertaining to watch, but there isn't much substance to it. You're supposed to feel for these characters and hope they make it to the end of the film, but the emotional cord of the movie never really hits. As a part two, the movie would have served better being condensed with the first movie and a lot of the nuance cut out.

Rebel Moon -- Part Two is utter trash. Snyder needs to put this "franchise" to rest.

As awful as the first part. I'm stunned that this is apparently one of the most-watched streamed films ever. That fact is depressing for the future of the quality of dramas produced for streaming. Plot derivative and infantile. Acting, at best, only so-so. It's often unintentionally hilarious. An awful cliché in every other scene. The only positive thing to be said is that some of the effects are impressive enough. Summary - hopeless.

I think the most important thing when you want to critic a movie is to be fair, and i'm here just being fair and straight honest that i actually quite enjoy Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver, and i know a lot of people hated it, and that's without saying that the movie was indeed not without it flaws, lots of flaws from the performances, the story, some sequences, and the bad special effects/CGI in most of the part, i must say that the film has just way more than enough to actually entertained me the whole time, compare to my experience with the first movie which i also didn't hate but i was still not a big fan of it, i was really bored in the middle of that film, and in this one i just have a better time and especially for a 2 hours film, the build up scene was more than enough for me to enjoy, and the whole action packed was pretty enjoyable to see for the most part, it was all more than enough, it wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible, and that's why i appreciate it more and ended up in the positive note, there is still a thing that i don't like, but the whole movie overall i thought that Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver was an ok and entertainingly enough action packed film, and it was better than the first one in my opinion.

I tried. I made it all the way through part 1, but mostly because of morbid curiosity. I barely made it 10 minutes in. The whole slow-mo wheat harvest just was too much. They're literally using Iron Age tools to cut wheat and load it on a platform that has anti-gravity or some kind of land speeder shield technology to float. Why? And why would the galactic empire/kingdom/whatever the **** is going on, need wheat that badly? There's no other planet that can grow wheat? No hydroponics? They solved space travel of vast distances, but not the riddle of wheat? The money dropped on this bomb could have fed millions.

I found this to be an entertaining visual feast. Is it a reinvention of the wheel? Far from it. But it is more excellent work from the production team and cast behind the first movie. The cheesy dialogue and predictable screenplay are definitely a weak area, but for simple sci fi thrills much in the vein of a star wars space opera this fit the bill quite nicely. Much better than some of the negative reviews would have you believe!

'Rebel Moon Part Two' is the worst thing Zack Snyder has done so far. An ugly mix of slow motion scenes, bland and uninteresting characters, video game CGI and the most derivative story imaginable. Predictable from minute 1 and visually uninspired. It has no soul, and worst of all, it takes itself very seriously, not to mention it opens the door for more sequels. It is so irrelevant that you don't remember how the first one ended up with or what each character's name is.

Snyder's take on Star Wars meets The Maginificent 7 is a dull and shallow experience. Characters lack depth, dialogues are mediocre, the execution of fights is poor, just like the acting and the overall experience is a big 'meh'. It's just bad. On all levels. Also - it 's completely predictable (well it's M7, so we know what we will get, but still - some good could be delivered), but still we get nothing. The fun part is...there's gonna be a third movie, which means Netflix is going balls-deep into this ****. I am a hardcore fan of both SW and M7 (watched the second iteration like a dozen times in my youth) and this thing insults both the original trilogy and the american remake of M7. Save your breath.

I have been a fan of Snyder's work mostly from the dceu and the progressof this film"rebel moon" proves quite hopeful. By the end of 'the scargiver' the suspense, the joy and the satisfaction of an end was inevitable. I can't wait for part three. One of the most remarkable aspects of "The Scargiver" is its ability to seamlessly expand upon the rich universe established in the first film while introducing new layers of depth and complexity. The world-building is nothing short of masterful, with each scene offering tantalizing glimpses into the history, culture, and politics of the Rebel Moon universe. The character development in "The Scargiver" is equally impressive. Returning favorites are given even more depth and nuance, while new additions to the cast breathe fresh life into the story. Every character feels fully realized, with their own motivations, flaws, and arcs that keep viewers invested from start to finish. But perhaps the most striking aspect of "The Scargiver" is its commitment to delivering pulse-pounding action sequences that push the boundaries of what's possible on screen. From breathtaking space battles to intense hand-to-hand combat, every moment is expertly choreographed and executed with jaw-dropping precision. Of course, none of this would be possible without the stellar direction of [Zack Snyder and his team], who once again proves why they are one of the most visionary filmmakers working today. Their ability to blend spectacle with substance is unparalleled, and it's clear that every frame of "The Scargiver" was crafted with meticulous attention to detail. And let's not forget about the incredible visual effects, which elevate the film to a whole new level of cinematic excellence. Whether it's the stunning vistas of distant planets or the intricately designed alien creatures, every aspect of the visual presentation is nothing short of breathtaking. But perhaps the greatest triumph of "The Scargiver" is its unwavering sense of hope and optimism in the face of overwhelming odds. In a time when so much of our entertainment is dark and cynical, it's refreshing to see a film that dares to believe in the power of courage, friendship, and redemption. "Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver" is a tour de force of science fiction storytelling that exceeds all expectations. With its compelling characters, jaw-dropping action, and awe-inspiring visuals, it's a film that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. If you're a fan of epic space adventures, do yourself a favor and experience "The Scargiver" for yourself. You won't be disappointed. I will say the beginning wasn't the best as some scenes seemed void and took too long, but as you get into the mood set, as you embrace this universe of theirs, a great deal of contentment is practically felt literally down your spine.
I do believethere is hope for this franchise and I am hoping that anyone who watches each part gets the same fulfilling feeling and desires to see more of it.

Over the top girl boss knock off of magnificent seven. Only the "seven" are boring / uninteresting disposable side loaded characters with easily forgettable back stories. The main characters love interest falls flat cuz the actors have 0 chemistry. Which I can't blame the guy when the girl he has to fall for looks and acts like a total dude (what even is that hair cut?). Apparently Hollywood is incapable of letting women be women. Sprinkle in idiotic hair cuts for every major character and boom you have Rebel Moon part deuce.

The game is very simple: if you lower your expectations everything looks good to us. Just don't care about the plot, the depth of the characters, the story, and it will turn out to be a great movie like those of Marvel superheroes or Fast&Furious.
There is a robot with horns and a crown of flowers who could open a world of his own about the technologies of this human race from the Mother World, or the existential dilemmas of these death-bringing machines in the universe, but he is completely ignored and we only remember him for destroying a tank in 10 seconds.A pity because it could have been an opportunity to create a new cinematic universe.

This isn't a choose your own adventure. The fact that maybe we find out what happens, maybe we don't is the problem. A franchise is only a good one when we know how it ends, I'm unhappy with the maybe I'll know ending especially unhappy with the maybe I'll know but it is definitely going to be SEVERAL YEARS. We waited patiently for a quickly released part 2. Part 3-? Hasn't even been filmed. I don't want another FF VII where I watch the movie when my current child is an adult. The pacing could have been acceptable if we had confirmation of the next or an actual ending, No one enjoys "imagine what happens next endings" no one ever has, no one ever will. I just had this thought when I watched the much anticipated Civil War. I want finality in a story. Everyone wants to **** PART 1 (pending ratings before finishing this review)

"Rebel Moon Pt 2" (4/19/24, Netflix, Dir: Zach Snyder) Wow, just wow. RM Pt1 was good, very good, but this Part 2 takes it to another level! Zach Snyder brought alot of the magic of "300" to make this a spectacular event. This is a "Star Wars" that Kathleen Kennedy and her minions could never make. This is a masterpiece of the genre - and I NEVER say that about anything. Sofia B. makes a decent enough protag but Ed Skrein as Atticus Noble makes a deliciously evil villain, even more so in this outing. But let's go back to Zach for a moment. This film shows you the potential that can be realized when you let an A-list personality produce, write, direct, and do the cinematography for an action/adventure film. Few have tried, and most fail, but Zach scores big here. And the final five minutes set the stage for what the Part 3 story would be, so here's to hoping Netflix does the Right Thing by Greenlighting it!

Only slightly better than the first film thanks to some tolerable firefights, this is still a train wreck of a movie with some of the most horrible writing and directing I've seen. I hope that Zach Snyder realizes people are watching this sequel not out of interest for his new franchise, but simply to see how badly a filmmaker can fail, and ZS does not disappoint in that regard.

Horrible, you have to watch it at twice the speed because it's a theatrical slow-mo orgy.
