This film has a solid cast and great atmosphere, but it's incredibly slow and ultimately meaningless.

A great martial arts film with lots of humor, outstanding fight choreography, and a terrific cast that immediately picks up where the 2021 film left off. This installment in the series provides even more background for the tournament itself and what is at stake. It's astounding that the performers were able to stay in such great shape a full five years after wrapping the previous film. The writing has much improved, and even the main villain has sufficient depth to elevate him above the cookie cutter norm. I can only hope that there will be a third film in this series.

A terrific martial arts film and video game adaptation that uses solid storytelling, great casting and visual effects, and a great cast to provide a background story for its scant source material.

There's lots of big budget polish to this film, but not enough to make up for its pathetic writing and directing. It's as if the filmmakers don't understand that a superhero is a "hero" - someone to look up to, rather than a drunken wastrel who staggers through violent, meaningless exploits because they happen to be born with superhuman powers.

This movie is F-U-N, and in a good way.

This film has excellent cinematography, but that's about it. Few of the roles are cast with an appropriate actor. The story is fractured and directionless, and all of the dialogue is very modern. The sets are decent, however the costumes look made of cheap materials when viewed close up. The sound mixing is also very uneven.

This film is a beautiful valentine to New York City of the 1980s. Having grown up close to NYC during that era, I can attest to its loving accuracy and details in every scene. This film is similar to The Wages of Fear in that in revolves around a small group of people who risk their lives to cross a hostile landscape in vehicles that are not suited to the task.

I had high hopes for this film based upon the cast, however it failed to achieve everything that it set out to. The irony of this film is that Emma Stone's career has been held hostage by Yorgos Lanthimos, and his film Bugonia is about a career woman, played by Emma Stone, who is held hostage. It's yet another film by Lanthimos in which he snickers at the pain and misfortune of others as they torture one another and themselves. Can we all agree that Lanthimos is mentally ill and rescue Emma Stone now?

A twisty crime thriller that takes place over the course of one eventful night and will keep you guessing about who's clean and who's dirty up until the end.

It's sufficiently enjoyable watching Charlize Theron engage in outdoor sports around the world that she could start a reality series about this and I would be hooked. The manhunt thriller storyline is cliche, and unbelievable, and only disrupts what's actually good about this film.

The best parts of this film are Ariana's singing, the art direction, costumes, sets, and the moments in which we get to see how the characters and events from the original Wizard of Oz came into being. The story and songwriting are a bit lackluster.

Like American Graffiti before it, this film perfectly captures a transition into young adulthood while also faithfully depicting the idiosyncrasies of an era (the late 70's) and locale (Austin, TX). It does so through humor and all-night escapades of young people who are straining at the yoke of the system, as all young people should.
