Marty, Life Is Short7
Jun 17, 2026
This documentary is a treat for fans of Martin Short and the many celebrities in his orbit as it reveals many glimpses into their personal lives, with surprising anecdotes throughout.
Jun 14, 2026
Dhurandhar The Revenge7
Jun 14, 2026
The sequel to Dhurandhar has great production values but features too many slow motion sequences and gore to be a truly great film. It also glamorizes the criminal life in ways that are probably unhealthy for younger viewers.
Jun 13, 2026
Robot Dreams9
Jun 13, 2026
This film is a beautiful valentine to New York City of the 1980s. Having grown up close to NYC during that era, I can attest to its loving accuracy and details in every scene. The fact that it's also a humorous and moving story about friendship, animated in a marvelously crisp style, is merely icing on the cupcake.

Hoppers3
Jun 11, 2026
A horrible script forces too many inane and preposterous story devices onto the audience to justify sitting through this film. How did they spend so much time and resources on a story so devoid of quality without someone raising a hand during the daily scene review and asking, "Can't we do a little better?"

Arco8
Jun 9, 2026
Ugo Bienvenu has confidently picked up the torch from Studio Ghibli with this charming, hopeful and exciting sci-fi adventure for young people that takes place in two unique visions of our future.
Jun 8, 2026
Sirât7
Jun 8, 2026
This film is similar to The Wages of Fear in that in revolves around a small group of people who risk their lives to cross a hostile landscape in vehicles that are not suited to the task.
Jun 7, 2026
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die4
Jun 7, 2026
A wonky mash-up of Terry Gilliam style storytelling with Black Mirror style indictment of the technology era. It doesn't quite work, although Sam Rockwell demonstrates that he's still one of our most capable leading actors, even in a sub-par film.
Jun 7, 2026
Lorne6
Jun 7, 2026
While this documentary doesn't shed much light on the enigmatic figure Lorne Michaels, it does provide a glimpse into the inner workings of the Saturday Night Live variety show that any fan would appreciate.
Jun 4, 2026
Wuthering Heights3
Jun 4, 2026
I had high hopes for this film based upon the cast, however it failed to achieve everything that it set out to. The director attempted to recreate many aspects of other movies (bondage erotica from 50 Shades of Gray, visually stunning shots from The Fall, ironic humor from a Wes Anderson movie, etc.) and utterly fails in every attempt. It was very difficult to reach the end.

All We Imagine as Light7
May 26, 2026
This is a compelling look at everyday life for three women of different generations living and working in the margins of Mumbai.
May 24, 2026
Fackham Hall7
May 24, 2026
An uproarious sendup of British period dramas (think Downton Abbey) overflowing with sight gags and one-liners, in a similar vein to the Naked Gun franchise.
May 24, 2026
Marty Supreme6
May 24, 2026
A frenetically paced jumble of misadventures centering around a young man's ego-driven obsession for personal glory.
May 22, 2026
No Other Choice6
May 22, 2026
An old-school dark comedy about a man who may or may not go to extreme lengths to secure more desirable employment after being laid off.
May 17, 2026
We Bury the Dead5
May 17, 2026
An interesting relationship drama in a zombie-like setting with a somewhat original premise. It works as a low-budget time filler, but is not very memorable.
May 10, 2026
Bugonia4
May 10, 2026
The irony of this film is that Emma Stone's career has been held hostage by Yorgos Lanthimos, and his film Bugonia is about a career woman, played by Emma Stone, who is held hostage. It's yet another film by Lanthimos in which he snickers at the pain and misfortune of others as they torture one another and themselves. Can we all agree that Lanthimos is mentally ill and rescue Emma Stone now?
May 8, 2026
The Rip7
May 8, 2026
A twisty crime thriller that takes place over the course of one eventful night and will keep you guessing about who's clean and who's dirty up until the end.
May 7, 2026
Apex5
May 7, 2026
It's sufficiently enjoyable watching Charlize Theron engage in outdoor sports around the world that she could start a reality series about this and I would be hooked. The manhunt thriller storyline is cliche, and unbelievable, and only disrupts what's actually good about this film.
May 6, 2026
Wicked: For Good6
May 6, 2026
The best parts of this film are Ariana's singing, the art direction, costumes, sets, and the moments in which we get to see how the characters and events from the original Wizard of Oz came into being. The story and songwriting are a bit lackluster.
Apr 24, 2026
Dazed and Confused8
Apr 24, 2026
Like American Graffiti before it, this film perfectly captures a transition into young adulthood while also faithfully depicting the idiosyncrasies of an era (the late 70's) and locale (Austin, TX). It does so through humor and all-night escapades of young people who are straining at the yoke of the system, as all young people should.
Apr 22, 2026
Dhurandhar7
Apr 22, 2026
Yet another stylish Bollywood movie that glamorizes criminality in entertaining ways. This one is inspired by historical events in the conflict between India and Pakistan.
Apr 20, 2026
Crime 1014
Apr 20, 2026
While this film has a tremendous cast, it's script is extremely cliche and derivative, offering nothing new whatsoever. It's as if the film was made to create a sizzle real, and nothing more.
Apr 14, 2026
Highest 2 Lowest3
Apr 14, 2026
Poorly written, directed and acted, this remake of a classic Kurosawa film misses on every level. Even the soundtrack is inappropriate to its scenes, which is ironic considering that film revolves around a music executive with unquestionable taste.
Apr 11, 2026
Project Hail Mary8
Apr 11, 2026
A great acting vehicle for Ryan Gosling that, with humor and sentimentality, tells a profound story of friendship in the deep reaches of outer space.
Apr 9, 2026
Nuremberg6
Apr 9, 2026
Russell Crowe commandeers this movie as the highest ranking **** leader put on trial for WWII atrocities, whereas Rami Malek is terribly miscast as the psychiatrist who both befriends and attempts to undo him.
Apr 6, 2026
The Testament of Ann Lee6
Apr 6, 2026
This is a highly artistic interpretation of the true story of Ann Lee, the primary founder of the Shaker movement in America's colonies. Watch it with an open mind as it combines raw performances with contemporary dance and musical numbers. The costumes, art direction and cinematography are also noteworthy.
Apr 4, 2026
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple8
Apr 4, 2026
As of this writing, this film is the best entry in the series since the original and succeeds largely based upon the strength of its writing and performances. It would've been great even without the excessive gore, but I guess they didn't want to alienate horror fans.
Mar 31, 2026
Sentimental Value7
Mar 31, 2026
This film is an actor's showcase and revolves around a dysfunctional family that bonds through filmmaking, acting and theatre, but not much else.
Mar 28, 2026
The New Mutants5
Mar 28, 2026
A strong cast elevates a mediocre story in the X-Men universe that attempts to combine elements of The Breakfast Club with One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. It's just okay.
Mar 27, 2026
Apocalypse Now: Final Cut4
Mar 27, 2026
This was one of the two greatest war films ever made, however the restoration of the additional 49 minutes utterly changes the story into a farcical, dark comedy (like Catch-22) instead of the sobering, anti-war horror story that it originally was. I wish that I could un-see this version.
Mar 27, 2026
Apocalypse Now Redux10
Mar 27, 2026
One of the two greatest war-themed movies ever made (along with Saving Private Ryan). Whereas the other focused on the Greatest Generation and their struggles during a moral crusade in Europe, this one focuses on the sheer madness and horror of the American conflict in Vietnam. It's also an adaptation of the novel Heart of Darkness.

Mar 26, 2026
11 Rebels6
Mar 26, 2026
An above average action film set in feudal Japan that attempts to combine elements of the Seven Samurai with Suicide Squad (i.e. criminals from all walks of life who are coerced into defending a village from a much larger force).
Mar 24, 2026
Zootopia 27
Mar 24, 2026
A fun and well crafted return to the Zootopia world in which our odd couple animal detectives take on another case while also wrestling with their feelings for one another.
Mar 24, 2026
Rental Family7
Mar 24, 2026
A very sentimental journey through modern Japan that follows a struggling actor who works for an unusual agency, and can't help but become involved with his clients.
Mar 22, 2026
Omni Loop6
Mar 22, 2026
A witty and emotion-filled time loop story in which a woman reconciles her unfulfilled promise as a scientist with her desire for peer recognition, a family and meaningful friendships.
Mar 21, 2026
Elio5
Mar 21, 2026
This is an artistically sound but rather tame story about a lonely boy who wants to live with extraterrestrials rather than try to fit in on Earth.
Mar 20, 2026
ARQ10
Mar 20, 2026
The best time loop sci-fi film ever made IMHO. It features an outstanding script and the most clever re-use of characters and sets.
Mar 20, 2026
Pulp Fiction8
Mar 20, 2026
Tarantino expertly blends pulp crime fiction with snappy dialog and situational humor. While some scenes drag on too long, the overall result is an outrageous and original vision of the criminal underworld in Los Angeles.
Mar 15, 2026
The Secret Agent7
Mar 15, 2026
This film is a fascinating time capsule about life in Brazil during the 1970's, with highly detailed and convincing portrayals of people, places and society during the era. But it's not much more than that.
Mar 15, 2026
TRON: Ares5
Mar 15, 2026
A couple of interesting sci-fi concepts and a few interesting action sequences, but not much else going on this entry to the Tron franchise.
Mar 14, 2026
Tornado5
Mar 14, 2026
A small, independent film that attempts to combine genres - Scottish period film, samurai film, western - without fully succeeding.
Mar 13, 2026
Drive9
Mar 13, 2026
A quintessential Los Angeles crime thriller in the vein of To Live and Die in LA, with incredibly modern/slick filmmaking, writing, performances and more. It also features one of the most stunning genre switches about mid-way through the film that I will simply say no more.
Mar 11, 2026
Predator: Badlands5
Mar 11, 2026
Great art direction and world building are ruined by a terrible script and characters. How does no one in the filmmaking process blow the whistle on this stuff during production?
Mar 11, 2026
The Life of Chuck4
Mar 11, 2026
This film is a bizarre mashup of genres that can't decide on its tone or message, yet still manages to tread such familiar ground that it doesn't seem to offer anything new.
Mar 8, 2026
Inu-oh7
Mar 8, 2026
This is an utterly original, artistic achievement that blends Japanese history with Noh theatre and anachronistic, modern rock fable using plentiful magical realism.
Mar 8, 2026
SPECTRE6
Mar 8, 2026
This may be the weakest of the Bond movies starring Daniel Craig because it has so many unbelievable elements that are a throwback to the tongue-and-cheek entries much earlier in the franchise. Still okay as a popcorn flic.
Mar 7, 2026
Hamnet9
Mar 7, 2026
An astoundingly beautiful and primal film about family, loss and healing that is told through expert filmmaking and performances that will stay with you long after you see it.
Mar 7, 2026
To Be Takei8
Mar 7, 2026
A charming and surprising look at the career and personal endeavors of George Takei, with little emphasis on his well known Star Trek role and much more focus on his humanitarian efforts.
Mar 2, 2026
Skyfall8
Mar 2, 2026
Bond plays cat-and-mouse with a rogue element who wants to kill someone close to him. A satisfying actioner that contributes to the backstory of his character.

That They May Face the Rising Sun10
Feb 27, 2026
Set in rural Ireland during the 1980s, this film perfectly captures not only what it means to be a community, but also everything that was lost with the proliferation of technology - connection, compassion, and an appreciation for the people and world around us.
