suicide is more tollerable than this film, Kevin Hart should quit acting This made me sad

Nice movie. I have enjoyed it. Good story, action, twists and climaxes. Lead actors did good acting. Recommended.

Very basic formulaic heist film with forgettable characters and acting. Good to watch if there is nothing else to watch.

On one side when I watched it I thought it was not that bad as the ratings said and was watchable and okay-ish for action movie. On another hand - now after some time has gone after I watched it I completely had forgotten what happened there, what the story was and did I even see whole movie. So yeah overall average.

Trash ️ is the best place to place it in! Not comedy at all. Boring. Sorry to watch this movie on my leisure!

Honestly one of the worst movie I've seen in a very long time. I don't know what's worse, the acting, the plot, the cinematography, or the dialogue. It is all so unbelievably cliche and there is ZERO immersion to the movie. Just really really really lame. I created an account on Metacritic just to write thisr review. That's how awful this movie is.

Very weak. Sloppily shot. CGI was really bad. Not entertaining, nothing happening to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Lift is a typical Netflix action flick that is derived entirely with an algorithm, with so and so actor's action vehicle. Yet I noticed that their films are steadily increasing in production values. While they are 'B' Movies at heart, Netflix knew that and sells it as such. A good way to pass the time but don't expect much.

A very mid movie with barely any storyline. A very cliche and nonsensical twist towards the end which really hurts the movie. Action sequences were lacking significantly. The graphics were however solid. The acting was fairly okayish but it certainly doesn't earn compliments. For all the movie boasts about, it was really disappointing.

NFT's aren't for me but as a heist film it was very good, would happily watch a sequel

A dull movie that is saved mostly by Kevin Hart. The conflict is wafer-thin, and the twists are way too predictable and lackluster. If you go in to watch this film, keep your expectations low. At most, you will get a passable action thriller, but don't expect anything more.

Lift es la típica película de ladrones que ya tienes disponible en Netflix. La película entretiene pero cumple todos los requisitos estereotípicos. El amor prohibido y cambiante, la búsqueda del tesoro, un malo malísimo y unos giros de guión que sin ser la pera, están bien ubicados. Te gustará si viste las películas de Fast&Furious (a partir de la 5) y si te gustan las películas de acción pero también con un toque familiar.

Wow. super-rote and formulaic and not good. This movie is a string of cliched setups, and completely preposterous and insulting plot developments. Zero chemistry between the main characters. Seems like some big names and capable actors just taking a paycheck. I will admit the twist at the end was slightly redeeming, but only just.

"Lift" (1/12/24, PG-13, Netflix) stars Kevin Hart playing against type in a more serious, non-comedic role ("Cyrus") for a Netflix copy of Ocean's 11, think Cyrus' 7. Ahead of this movie, he was interviewed on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live and was introduced as an "A-list" actor - there's a sad (and likely paid) plea for respect - but his 5-ft 2-in self just can't be taken seriously as a heist crew lead. In fact, there was obvious use of camera angles as well as him on stairs to make him appear taller, sad. And his of-course romance with character "Abby" is so forced and unlikely it's just cringe. Having said that, Netflix did provide a decent budget so the production values are on par with an Ocean's 11 but again, it just falls so short of expectations because of their mis-casting him, and only him, as the crew lead when he should've been in a minor support role as comedy relief which is his strong suit.

As opposed to his typical manic personality, Kevin Hart attempts to be cool in this role. He plays the leader of a team of high-end thieves who are tasked with stealing $500 million in gold from an in-flight airplane. The elaborate heist is as unlikely as it sounds and getting there is predictable and unexciting, even the twists are expected. If Hart had embraced his usual style, the film might have been more fun. Only Billy Magnussen's gung-ho character provides any personality to the otherwise bland cast. Making matters worse is the flat writing and mediocre direction. Even the stunt scenes are unimpressive and often look like bad CGI. This movie feels like a typical Netflix formula for heist films with all the expected elements, but none of the creativity or originality that would have made this flight remotely exciting.

just saw lift on netflix, kevin hart also shows up all the time now. I'll leave it like that. The film is nothing special. There are many heist films that are hundreds of times better, even if the film tries to incorporate modern themes. It is not original and unfortunately another low-quality mass product from Netflix.

I really don't know why I gave this movie a 3 because it's flat. Kevin Hart's acting is garbage, he tries to hard to be something he's not...a action leading man. Some good actors who lowered their standards to play in this was of time and money movie!!

Wasn’t really fully engaged with this film. Took me several days to finish it. Felt it lacked depth. Seen worse for sure but would have been disappointed if I had to pay for a cinema ticket to see this.

Tries to be witty but just falls on its face instead. Nothing original in this movie but there's some fun if you want a dumb action/comedy type of night.

One of the worst film ever. No emotions, no laughs, no sense, only cliché and surreal scenes. Dialogue very very boring, villain very very stupid. A shame.

LESS than the some of it's parts. Some solid actors in this one, but they are given very little to work with. I'm impressed that Kevin Hart managed to get Netflix to pay for him and a bunch of buddies to go on a luxurious European vacation. This appears to be what they pinched out to justify said expense. I assure you it does not. When you consider the ever increasing costs of streaming, movies like this seem even more egregious.

This movie is not **** real, likely the single worst movie I've ever seen.

As locações tem seus momentos, como alguns sobrevoos bem bonitos em Veneza, no qual há um leilão de obras, uma delas em NFT. Esta cena só serve para apresentar o bando, e, principalmente, a arte NFT, e nessa funciona muito bem, eu realmente nem sabia sobre isso e fui pesquisar a respeito. Arte NFT refere-se a obras de arte digitais que são tokenizadas e armazenadas em blockchain usando a tecnologia chamada NFT, ou "Non-Fungible Token" (Token Não Fungível, em português). Um NFT é um tipo de ativo digital que representa a propriedade única e indivisível de um item digital específico usando contratos inteligentes em uma blockchain, geralmente na blockchain Ethereum. No contexto da arte NFT, um artista cria uma obra digital única e a associa a um NFT. Este NFT é então registrado na blockchain, tornando-se uma garantia de autenticidade e propriedade exclusiva daquela obra. No primeiro ato, o grupo liderado por Kevin Hart consegue sequestrar o artista (que detém a senha de acesso) para lucrar em cima da especulação de uma arte NFT roubada, o que achei uma sacada interessante: o valor especulativo da arte. Como os NFTs são únicos e não podem ser replicados, cada obra de arte digital tokenizada é considerada única e valiosa. Os NFTs ganharam popularidade por proporcionar aos artistas digitais uma maneira de monetizar suas criações e aos compradores uma forma de possuir ativos digitais exclusivos. A compra e venda de arte NFT ocorrem em mercados online especializados, onde os interessados podem licitar ou comprar diretamente esses ativos digitais usando criptomoedas. Embora a arte NFT tenha trazido inovação ao mercado de arte digital, também gerou debates sobre questões relacionadas à sustentabilidade ambiental, especulação financeira e o valor intrínseco da arte digital, então já mostra aí que o filme trata de bandidos não convencionais. mas aí infelizmente o filme abandona isso para criar, no segundo ato, um roubo no avião daquele tipo que já estamos cansados de ver no cinema, e aí a trama descamba pra algo que passa longe da inovação, mas que ao menos diverte muito devido o carisma incialmente criado. Infelizmente os vilões aqui são rasos, as situações são facilitadas, e o plot até soa interessante, mas nada crível. Enfim, é um típico exemplar genérico de ação, que acabou se entregando ao lugar comum, mas que ao menos diverte durante sua projeção. Ah, pelo menos a arte NFt volta a dar as caras numa cena próxima ao final, de forma meio forçada claro, mas que garante consequências importantes à resolução da trama.
