Wasteland 2, for the most part, provides everything that its Kickstarter backers and fans of the genre are looking for.

The epitome of old-school that doesn't reek of decay. There are a few bumps along the road, but oh, is it a road worth taking. [Issue#246]

Me aburri mucho con este juego, esperaba más por el renombre de la saga.
Pero el juego si al poco de pasar el tiempo para devolverlo en Steam empezó ha ya repetirse demasiado.

Wasteland 2 is like being chucked into the apocalypse with a cram-packed knapsack, a sense of humour, and no idea what you signed up for. You’re the Desert Rangers, and your job is to sort out the post-nuclear chaos that everyone else just shrugged at — which mostly involves shooting mutants, making terrible decisions, and explaining to civilians why their pet isn’t a good source of meat. Combat is turn-based and tactical, meaning you’ll be hunkering behind cover, lining up shot after glorious shot, and yelling at the screen when someone runs out of action points at the worst possible moment. It’s crunchy, satisfying, and dead clever if you like planning more than **** world is brimming with choices that actually matter — not just “pick this colour text” matters, but “maybe don’t punch that guy in the face, you muppet” matters. The writing has that dry, gritty humour that feels like cracking jokes with your best mates while the world burns around you.Look, it ain’t perfect. The UI can feel like it was designed by someone who hates joy, and quests sometimes wander on longer than a family road trip with no snacks. But you’ll forgive it, because the story is great craic and the characters you pick up along the way? They’re worth the ride. Wasteland 2 is tactical, hilarious, and beautifully rough around the edges. If you want a post-apocalyptic romp that makes you think, laugh, and occasionally curse at your own choices, this one’s a belter.

Minor complaints aside, Wasteland 2 is a deep and addictive experience that will grab and hold you hard for its duration. Is it for everyone? Probably not. It has a decidedly old-school foundations that could be a put-off for new and younger gamers raised on modern day Fallouts and Skyrims. That said, for its target audience and for gamers looking for a deep and lengthy role-playing experience that steps well outside the current norm, Wasteland 2 is a near-perfect product.

Amazing title by the creator of the original and mastermind behind the masterpieces 'Fallout' many games try to recreate the post apocalyptic era, but only these geniouses can do it.. wasteland 2 comes hand to hand like the original Fallouts and make a superb experience on atmosphere, writing and engaging story-telling. Brilliant.

This is an old-school RPG game, where every player can get deeper into it the way they want. It's like an open window to a past time full of apocalyptic fun.

Even though the story arc is guided, playing through Wasteland 2 engenders a real sense of ownership.

Wasteland 2 is huge. It’s not just the massive map, but the number of stories and the myriad ways they can play out. Though some moments left me disappointed, I always left the game eager to return. Inventive solutions to tricky standoffs, my failure to save a life, a silly line of text spotted in the corner of my eye - those are the things that stuck with me every time I pressed “quit”.

Wasteland 2 invokes the spirit of its predecessor as well as the old Fallout games, yet it probably won’t have the same impact. Poor AI, bugs and annoying waiting times while using skills require a lot of patience from players. Still, there are many wondrous sights to see and interesting people to meet. In terms of atmosphere, dialogue and quest design, Wasteland 2 truly shines. Too bad there is so much grime to wipe away first.

Wasteland 2 is so packed with stuff to do and things to see that the game demands multiple plays, yet its story options are so intricate that replaying the plot never seems like a chore. But all of that is overshadowed by omnipresent bugs.

First of all I must say that I backed WL2 kickstarter because I wanted proper Fallout game to be made and I wanted to get true cRPG feeling as I had so many years ago with original Wasteland and Fallout 1 and 2. And the inXile made it! The game feels like cRPG of old! Story, writing, mechanics, party play, proper inventory and UI for PC game.... it is all there. Atmosphere is that of post-apocalyptic world. I really enjoyed my first play-through through the game. Now I read that inXile is upgrading the game from Unity 4.5 to Unity 5.0 which will make graphic looks even better, and the next patch will bring perks into the game. So I will be going though the game again soon :) Also there is high replayability possible, because your game will probably always be different because of choices/party composition and you can really roleplay in it! I recommend it to anyone that wants to get back to old days of cRPG games and experience proper Fallout game! Best to all, AA

Not as deep a CPRG as Fallout 1/2, but way better party based combat that is a lot of fun. I'd say this was more combat heavy than story rich. Stuck playing the Rangers wasn't a problem. I mostly role play as the good guys anyway. Tactics of Lazer Squad meets a good guy Fallout lite sort of experience for sure.

If you're looking for a challenging and fun 3D version of the Fallout 1/2 combat system, look no further. It has its flaws but overall good and since I love turn-based RPG (which is extremely hard to find) I enjoy playing it.

If you took an inferior version of Jagged Alliance 2's combat, and combined it with an inferior version of Fallout's world, you end up with Wasteland 2. Quite simply, this game does not deliver. There are almost no real RPG elements to this game, other than countless skill checks. Dialogue choices, story choices, etc. are almost non-existent. All that, combined with the countless bugs + Unity engine = don't buy.

Radio chatter was only thing that I've enjoyed. Game overall is borring, people in wastelands are annoying to point where I wated to exterminate whole cities, graphics look like from 2006, hit chance to 20 meters is just ridiculous when you are green in weapon type, diseases and injuries are just negative buffs and dissapear after some time, radiation only removes hp instead of being poisonous and having very negative effects to your characters health. Fallouts 1&2 are still far better cRPGs despite their years and what is weird Divinity: Original Sin, which did not get even close to what Wasteland 2 got from kickstarter was overall better game, which people will remember&play in many years after realease, what I cannot say about Wasteland 2.
SummaryWasteland 2 is the direct sequel to the first ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG. The original Wasteland was the inspiration for the FALLOUT series of games, and the first RPG to allow players to split parties for tactical considerations, to face players with moral choices, and to make them deal with the consequences of their actions.
