A nicely polished retro shooter from the second tier that brings plenty of good ideas to the table but also has some flaws—and there isn't much Nightdive can do about that.

The developers set out with the promise of taking the game to the next level in terms of economic challenges, and they have succeeded impressively. Transport Fever 3 is therefore no longer just for virtual railroad enthusiasts; it offers enough substance that even veterans of Transport Tycoon and other major titles in the genre shouldn't miss out on this game.

Ace Combat 8 is a must-buy for any air combat enthusiast, but thanks to its accessible gameplay, it’s also highly recommended for anyone who simply wants to experience a well-rounded, genuine action-packed game. Only the story pacing and PC performance sometimes leave a little to be desired.

EA Sports FC 27 is a good soccer game featuring minor improvements to gameplay and Career Mode. At the same time, much of it still feels like FC 26; Ultimate Team remains unnecessarily high-pressure, and The Grounds was an addition we didn't need. Returning players get solid soccer once again—but there is no real reason to make the switch.

Townfall finally delivers that authentic Silent Hill feeling again—albeit with minor technical issues.

Marvel’s Wolverine is a game that we definitely had a lot of fun playing. With Wolverine, Insomniac takes a more mature approach, using it not only for the depiction of violence but also for the dark narrative. The flow of the combat system, even though it’s fairly simple in itself, is consistently satisfying. But in the end, you’re left with the feeling that something is missing across the board—that the game never quite reaches its full potential in any area. That’s a real shame, especially given the long development time. So Marvel’s Wolverine is a good action game—nothing more, but also nothing less.

The full version of Valheim is impressive on both PC and consoles – but a few issues still remain.

Orbitals is a charming co-op adventure that stands out thanks to its fantastic 90s anime presentation and attention to detail. While its gameplay variety doesn't quite reach the heights of It Takes Two or Split Fiction, the clever gadgets, enjoyable puzzles and strong focus on teamwork make exploring the galaxy together a lot of fun. Some potential may have been left in orbit, but co-op and anime fans should definitely give Maki and Omura's adventure a chance.

In my view, perhaps more could have been done with the endgame progression—talent trees and the like—and item upgrades feel somewhat like an afterthought. It might sound strange, but I think the game could have done without these systems entirely and still been a fantastic action-adventure title. A 9/10 rating is certainly on the high side, but looking closely at the minor flaws, there is no real reason to score it any lower.

Despite minor technical flaws, this is the vampire RPG that fans have long desired and the best RPG of the year.
