Awesome game that runs and looks great on the switch. The greatest first person zombie game I have played and so much better than the sequel.

This has to be the best game I have played yet on the Nintendo Switch! The open world design, the graphics and the storyline are all great. The game can be very difficult at times when tons of zombies are baring down on you. The story is great and keeps you engaged. The only part of the game that I had a problem with is the tracking system on the map sometimes you can be easily confused where to go next. Other than that I find the game very enjoyable.

There aren’t really any other games like this on the Switch, so as long as you’re okay with — or at least willing to tolerate — visuals that pale in comparison to how they look elsewhere, then you’re in for one of the last gen’s best zombie games.

There is very little negative aspects I can point out about this game, because this game is such a gem, I never gave it a chance before... maybe the title "Dying Light" does not resonate well with me at first, but now that title made a lot of sense when I played it, and it has blew me away with its world filled with constant danger especially at night, luckily you are taking a role of an agile "runner" able to learn parkour and combat skills. I was never bored at this game, there is always a sense of thrill traversing the world of Harran, its like different types of Zombie movies put into one game, e.g. annihilating the slow Walking Dead zombies in so many ways, but then you will also find World War Z type zombies that are more aggressive and faster, and then when it gets dark the I Am Legend monsters will come out and they are so terrifying it will legitimately trigger your flight or fight response, I dare not try the latter though because they are tough. The crafting mechanics of this game is intuitive, along the way you will learn "blueprints" of things you can craft in the game, all you need to do is gather all supplies as much as you can, nothing will be wasted. The story is simple and kind of cliché, its like Land of the Dead and World War Z. But as you get along with the characters, it will soon become much riveting. However, the story is very secondary to the parkour and combat fun this game has to offer that you will wish for the main and side quest to not end. And the game also allows co-op with 4 friends, I have played this with my son and brother and we had a great memorable time... it will make the campaign easier though. There is also community events, I am enjoying the "Hyper Mode" event, in the duration your kicks and punches are multiple times stronger, and yeah... drop kicking the zombies is so much fun, the detailed gore of Dying Light may not be of same level as Dead Island 2, but there is enough squashing and dismemberment here as well, you can drop kick a Zombie to a wall 20 meters away and you will both see and hear the gore factor. It's great that the developers we're able to port this game to Nintendo Switch, they did a great job, only noticeable difference with the PS4 version are the shadows and draw distance.

Dying Light on Switch is quite a remarkable achievement, and we’re happy to report that Techland has mostly stuck the landing with this one. Its ambitious open world full of zombies is unlike anything else in the Switch’s library and, between the core campaign and six years of constant DLC updates, there’s potentially hundreds of hours of enjoyment to be had here. Granted, all of this comes at the cost of performance that can be middling compared to other platforms, but this is neatly balanced out by the convenience of playing in handheld mode. We’d give Dying Light a strong recommendation, though with the caveat that Switch owners who rarely play in portable mode may want to pause and consider buying it elsewhere. Wherever you may fall, we’d strongly encourage you to consider this Switch port; it really is quite good.

Dying Light is six years old, but it hasn't lost its edge. A fantastic parkour system, extensive combat customization, and a unique take on the zombie-filled post-apocalyptic world mean Techland's horror game still holds its own after so long. Sure, the resolution could be better on Nintendo Switch, and it's still the same iffy story, but having Dying Light portable and with all the DLC more than makes up for that.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition for the Switch is a straightforward port of a solid game. The basic zombie-killing parkour adventure is still as fun as it was when the game was originally released, and it has only received more content and more things to kill since then. The Switch version runs surprisingly well, so if you're willing to compromise visuals for portability, it might be the game for you. Dying Light 2 might feel like it's eternally delayed, but the Switch version can help tide players over until they get the chance to finally return to the zombie-infested world of Dying Light.

Well, this isn't the prettiest version of this underrated gem, but the port itself is well-made and plays nice (mostly). This is a well made port and worthy of this great game.

Dying Light: Platinum Edition is another impressive Switch port, but the game itself is just OK. Its design threw everything at the wall, often to its detriment. While it has some pretty high highs, they lie almost exclusively in the movement. If you do want to chase those highs you’re better off on other platforms until another patch or two comes along.

dying light 1 is the best game of the two it has good gameplay physics and an energy bar as well as calling it friendly and I really like that the platium edition comes with the dlc that brings good content but I hope a big improvement for the three and that techland get better at it and surprise us at dead island 2

It's amazing what the Switch can run if some talented people put their hands on a port. From a technical standpoint, Dying Light is top notch for a Switch port. The frame rate, the graphics, the gameplay... everything is absolutely phenomenal. The game itself is scary enough to get you on the edge of your seat, especially at night time and the pure number of zombies can bring into some tense situations if you're not careful enough. All DLCs are included which is also very nice, you get value for money.

Dying Light has been a good game since 2015, and it still it on the Nintendo Switch even though the graphics don’t look as good as on other consoles. This is my favorite open-world zombie parkour game!

If you want a game that will scare you and make your sphincter tighten up then get this. The reason I give it 7/10 is because it gets boring too quickly. It can be a bit **** as well. But again. Not bad and performs well on switch.

Great combat mechanics and engaging characters. Unfortunate, because they turned it into nothing but a parkour simulator. Also has the cheap trope of punishing players that want to explore an open world on their own in a linear story: enemies are overpowered and quest lines makes no sense. To give a better idea on how reliant on grinding and repetition this game is, there is no fast travel in the game. I would not recommend this game for most people, but for "hardcore" gamers that spends their hours doing nothing but play video games then by all means.
