A masterclass in hardboiled atmosphere, Mouse: P.I. For Hire perfectly blends a gritty, 1950s noir narrative with a visual style that’s as sharp as a block of aged cheddar. Jack Pepper’s journey through a corruption-riddled city is a thrilling, cynical masterpiece that proves some conspiracies are simply too pungent to ignore.

A military veteran, ex-cop and now a P.I. – Jack Pepper seemingly lived through it all and yet his biggest catch is on the horizon. A case so convoluted, it would make a mice throw itself into a cheese trap willingly! With a banging rooster of weapons, loads of charisma, trusty rubber hose animations and a smooth jazz soundtrack, this detective will shoot through any and all clues. Do you have what it takes to put all the evidence on the board?

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a solid first-person shooter with a great twist that cannot carry the game all the way. I loved the black and white cartoon presentation initially and liked the classic mechanics. But after three or four locations, the presentation is no longer surprising, and the gun battles start to feel repetitive. It doesn’t help that the environments don’t do a lot to keep player interest up and that boss battles are gimmicks rather than tests of skill. Play one or two levels of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire at a time, enjoy the gun fights, and ignore the elements that feel like unnecessary work, including the baseball card game and the safe cracking.

复古黑白画风,上世纪60年代风格的音乐,剧情也很像那种经典的侦探。但是boss很多设计太快了,完全不知道怎么躲掉。还有肯定的手电筒和武器自由切换。。。。

Mouse: P.I. for Hire dazzles visually, plays brilliantly, and tells a witty tale.

The Golden Age of Animation wasn’t called that for nothing, and MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is its modern gold standard following the likes of Cuphead and Bendy. Though relatively simple as a shooter and not up to par pacing-wise, this game has the production value and vision of yesteryear, and is a hand-made, hand-drawn testament to the art form of animation. Back it up with jazzy tunes and the best voice actors money can buy, and you’ve got another squash n’ stretch best-seller hot off the presses.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a first-person shooter that manages to transform extraordinary art direction into a solid and fun gaming experience. It has some (little) limitations, but it's a truly promising debut for Fumi Games.

Mouse P.I. For Hire is one enjoyable and visually stunning video game. While it stumbles like a drunk on Tuesday night when it comes to enemy variety; it more than makes up for it with a stellar voice cast, some fun combat and genuinely laugh-out-loud side quest missions. The game may be on the easy side but don’t let that dissuade you, this is one case worth taking on gumshoe.

Mouse P.I. For Hire is a solid shooter with a beautiful aesthetic and interesting story, but the combat can feel a little too generic. The expressive rubber hose animation works, wonders, and the great cast help bring the characters to life in this mystery thriller, but I found it difficult to stay interested for longer periods of time because it didn’t have that spark that other big shooters have. It’s still fun, and I had a good time, but it just didn’t do enough to keep me locked in for longer periods of time.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a bombastic shooter with a charming cast and a gripping story. Sure, its gameplay is basically a carbon copy of Doom’s but with a 1930s rubber hose aesthetic. However, the execution is well done and it still has plenty of other aspects that differentiate itself. Jack isn’t going through Hell on Earth, but he’s determined to go to Hell and back to uncover the corrupt underbelly of Mouseburg.

The weapon animations remain gorgeous to the last drop, but what about the other two-thirds? [Issue#424, p.108]

Przyjemna strzelanka z ciekawym klimatem. Nie stara się być niewiadomo czym. Troche humoru, dużo gameplayu, spoko postacie, nienajgorsza fabuła.

The story, dialogue, and writing overall is godawful. The gameplay is trite and boring. The enemies are lame. The characters and NPCs are lame. Music? Is there some in this game? Well, it's absolutely forgettable trash. The maps and mechanics are uninspired. Also, we do NOT need celebrities in video games. I need you all to stop jerking off VA's, please. This is ridiculous. Why do people need to obsess so much over actors? It's seems so insane and nonsensical to me.
