It's amazing that they have to nerve to still sell this when it desperately needs even a basic remaster. The controls are some of the worst still remaining in the 21st century and combined with the terrible camera angles it makes for an incredibly frustrating experience. A real shame as it was a classic in its day but this sort of thing makes me think twice about buying anything by Rockstar

Would be good if it wasn't for every character being dumb as dirt and 80% of the cutscenes being unskippable even on NG+. Just becomes very, very tedious after a while. Very disappointing compared to the other Spider-Man games. Possibly enough to make me skip buying Wolverine.

Long, unskippable cutscenes and optional QTEs make this like being forced to read a comic that you may or may not be interested in while you're trying to actually play a game.

Take Ghost of Tsushima, make the story less interesting, the characters more annoying and stupid and the minigames more irritating and pointless. Voila, you have Ghost of Yotei, an acceptable game that doesn't do anything particularly well and gets frustratingly repetitive over time.

Right off the bat it insults the user by going straight into unskippable cutscenes and tedious exposition for the terrible story. By far the worst entry in a fairly mediocre series, I recommend skipping over it and going to the spin-off Far Cry New Dawn. Or find something that isn't from Ubisoft.

One of the most obnoxious gaming experiences I can remember. No single player, mandatory online play and consequently no way to pause. A massively counter-intuitive sign in process for the garbage that is ****. I'm just glad to say I didn't pay for this absolute bag of crap and I probably never will buy anything from blizzard in future.

Despite the improved graphics the game still feels its age and nostalgia is really the only reason to play it. For the really nostalgic you'll be happy to find that they've left in some game breaking bugs from the original! I'm not quite that nostalgic though so I stopped playing instead.

Carries over all the minor annoyances of the first game such as combined lack of autosave and save locations, wonky difficulty curves and forcing the user to grind from an early stage. It's not all the same though, as the stories and dialogue are worse and it feels like a cheap rehash rather than a sequel

Enjoyable and fairly novel mechanics are hampered by an unintuitive interface and controls. What really downgrades the game for me though is the lack of any useful kind of pause mechanism in single player mode, given the only alternative is save+exit and then wait minutes while it loads again

Some great gameplay design ideas but lots of clunky, unresponsive minigames can be quite frustrating. Lack of ability to skip cutscenes or restart the very patchy minigames and their unresponsive controls added to this frustration for me leading to this being another Devolver game that was fun for a while but I left unfinished.

Some nice ideas but released unfinished and unpolished, customers treated badly with poorly thought through patching. Repetitive, frustrating, dull stealth missions with annoyingly infrequent autosave points (and manual saving disabled during most missions and lots of areas for no apparent reason). About the level of crap I expect from Ubisoft really. Two days of play was definitely enough and I've moved on to play Astro Bot instead.

A decent idea but lacking in polish, riddled with bugs and full of incredibly annoying design choices leading to dozens of missable branches as if they expect you to wade through the incredibly long campaign half a dozen times to experience all their ideas. I could barely even drag myself through it once and probably will avoid Owlcat games in future after this.

I'm coming back to this series after a very long time away and I am very disappointed in the console version. The interface is broken in so many ways and is very poorly thought out. Plenty of menus don't work, they flash up and close again immediately, some menu options are off the bottom of the list and the visible entries don't scroll and so on and so on. It feels like a beta at best and should probably be priced at around half the current point I won't be back for the 24/25 season.

Lacks polish. Might be a decent game with plenty of lore and interesting combat mechanics but there are so many glitches. I've had the game crash while not really doing anything (I'd left my contingent standing around while I was doing some work) and then found the autosave point meant I lost the progress I'd made on that missiong. Possibly epitomised by the fact that on the main menu the continue button is greyed out and I have to manually load the last game each time I start

Decent story tempered by bland, repetitive side quests. Doesn't really feel like a Final Fantasy game, more like an homage to one, just shoehorning in some of the names and enemies. Engine is excellent and sadly the only real glitch I had was it hanging during one of the final battles of the game (probably 10 minutes into the fight) . If this is the last numbered FF game it'll be a real shame as this is the most mediocre one I can remember since one of the bland FF11 games or FF10-2.

Shonky difficulty curve makes this just another grind for me. I was hoping for something more like older Koei games but got something more like Nioh which personally I find very tedious (I finished Demons Souls. Persevered for a while but got bored of waltzing through a level with no real issues and then hitting a boss that was a totally different proposition and went back to grinding on Toukiden 2

Wonderful homage to the original Dead Space from a co-creator of the original Dead Space ... except the story and dialogue, except the story and dialogue are far more trite. And it feels far more repetitive. And it feels more like being stuck in a very boring maze. I preordered this and I was also looking forwards to the Dead Space reboot/remake but this has made me far less enthused.

Not the way to make a reboot - less fun and more glitchy. After a month to patch it I still get random crashes of the app, horrendous graphics pop-in, weird shimmer effects and bad rendering on ground surfaces and bugs that prevent mission completion. This is all compounded by dumb design decisions such as blocking fast travel once you start a mission, even if the first task in the mission is to travel to the other side of the map to get the mission brief from someone. It feels a lot like QA wasn't allowed to actually play this dross before they pushed it out of the door.

Up there on my game regrets top 10 with things like 2008's Turok. A game that hasn't aged well isn't really helped by the slight polish to the background graphics and it could really have done with some modernisation to the UI. A lazy nostalgia money grab.

Mostly bland. Ignoring the connectivity issues this is a fairly standard looter shooter. The graphics are decent but you don't really notice it because of the style and nothing about the gameplay really stands out. The one area where it really differentiates itself is in having the most clichéd plots and the most hackneyed dialogue I can remember, combined with impressively awful voice acting for most roles. Really not worth the effort of battling through the server issues, I would have preferred paying for a Bulletstorm DLC really.

New combat system works reasonably well, story is extremely tiresome and driven by extreme character idiocy making it very hard to watch through. Grinding isn't that bad for what's effectively a JRPG but the difficulty curve for the late game bosses is ridiculous given how easy the rest of the game is. I've played all the series and would probably prefer the other games if they had this turn based combat system now.
