V Rising offers an immersive vampire survival experience where players can sink their teeth into building, crafting, and battling in a gothic open world. The game’s blend of base-building and action-packed combat creates a unique and engaging experience, though its complexity might be daunting for newcomers. It’s a deep and rewarding adventure for those willing to invest the time and effort, making it a must-try for fans of survival and vampire lore.
Quotation forthcoming.
V Rising does almost everything right to offer satisfaction to the player who wants both solid action gameplay, and opportunities to unleash their architectural talents. Unfortunately, the few things it gets wrong are significant enough to keep it from receiving rave reviews.

The combat is just atrocious. The difficulty of this game does not come from hard to learn move sets or aggressive bosses, but from slow cooldowns, terrible movement and environmental damage spam. Just an overall frustrating experience and terrible game. Just finished the final boss and I will never touch this game again.

If you're into the survival crafting genre, action RPGs, or vampires in general, V Rising is an absolute blast, alone or with others.

I genuinely believe that V Rising has a complete product for almost any type of player. The only reason you shouldn't give it a chance is if you absolutely don't like survival games. The only thing I would like it to have a bit more of is variety in the boss movements (especially in the first half of the game) and more variety in the music, but at least one of those complaints is addressed by the Brutal mode in this version 1.0.

One of the best and most unique gaming experiences I’ve had in 40 years. Bosses are challenging and the gameplay is top notch. Absolutely love the aesthetic. This game really shines when playing others. The developers consistently put out great updates. If they keep if up this game is going to be massive and it’s already pretty large. I would love for the developers to bring a tower defense element to the castles. Thank you stunlock studios you guys are the best!

V Rising, now out of early access, is much more addictive than befor, albeit with some minor rough edges.

In a “Diabolic” tone, V Rising takes us on a hunt for demons, undead and mythological beasts; in a world where vampires don't control everything. Hiding from the sun has never been so fun in this survival adventure where we are promised long hours of play.

V Rising offers something distinct, and pretty cookie cutter at the same time. It’s a survival game, but with a novel genre blend meant to attract a different kind of audience. There’s a lot of these, but V Rising brings the action-RPG and gothic styles to the table in a way that feels unique. So that’s fun, but the survival and crafting part is about as boilerplate as it gets. Therefore, if you’re the type of person that shrivels up and shrieks at survival game systems like a vampire considering the concept of brunch, V Rising won’t change your mind. But if you can hang with the concept and also enjoy some Diablo-like combat, having those two things together in one game is pretty rad.

I bought it and i realise that i like it a lot that you can build castle doing siege other players solo or clan Survival grab things from boss items.

This is one of those games that are really fun but with lots of problems, both obvious and more subtle. The progression is really fun at first but, as with most grind games, it falls off the further you get. The biggest factor of how strong you are is, either the game's decision to lock improvements behind far off bosses, or behind rng of blood quality, drop rate and trait rolls. This makes the progression both linear and tedious at times. There is also the issue of additions that were never expanded upon. The game is smaller than what you are lead to believe when you first start. There seems to be many different forms to polymorph into, but only 2 are regularly used, one is situational, two are used once and the others are entirely pointless. There are so many things that could and should have been expanded on as well, but it seems the devs grew tired of the game, or were scared to change things after their success. That said, the game has loads of hours of fun, even though they will be scattered between grind periods. It's relatively cheap, it's creative and made with a lot of passion. It's good. At times great, at times not.

The core strength of the game lies in its gameplay loop—it’s genuinely enjoyable and keeps you engaged with constant goals to chase. That said, things can start to feel a bit dull once you hit the point where grinding for recipes becomes necessary. The boss fights are a definite highlight, each one offering a fresh and sometimes tough challenge that adds real excitement.Building your base is fairly intuitive and can be a lot of fun if you’re into that side of things, though it does require some motivation to really get creative—especially when you have to deal with the slightly frustrating task of rearranging your base. Resource farming, particularly between your castle and the mines, often involves a lot of repetitive back-and-forth running, which can get tiring.Visually, the game has a stylish and appealing design that fits its atmosphere well. One downside is that if you're not on a larger server, the game might pause when you're not actively playing, which can interrupt the flow.

While the survival building aspect is fun (but grindy as fk), the other half of the game, the combat is absolute ****, you have 2 weapon skills, 2 spells that you get to chose, one dodge, one ultimate and that's it... was this design to be played on a fking snes controller ? The dodge is on an 8 seconds cooldown, and you can equip a barrier spells that's also on an 8 seconds cooldown, while enemies, especially bosses, spam their skills like they're playing with all cheats on, and are bullet sponges. The result is that every fking fight is basically just a stat check and extremely repetitive. I loved the concept and really tried my best to like the game but there's just too many terrible game design decisions, I don't get how it got so popular while you have games like Riftbreaker and literally a dozen of Arpg released each year that are better than this.

Boring grindy gameplay, terrible optimisation, one of the worst bosses design I've ever seen. Complete disappointment.
