Entertaining B movie sci-fi film which is better than expected. The kids are believable and although the aliens are like deformed furbys they look realistic.

Although a fan of the genre I didn't enjoy this movie. Amber Heard plays the part very well but something seem to be lacking and it becomes just another slasher movie with a bit of a twist.

Interesting movie along the lines of Alien for a claustrophobic feeling aboard a spaceship although without the uniqueness (or alien) reasonably well acted but unfortunately it descends into predictability about half way through and seems to run out of ideas.

Despite my scepticism this is finally a movie worthy of the hype. Great storyline, superb acting from all and excellent direction make this movie one of the best of the last five years. If you haven't seen it, watch it now. It will be worth it.

Mediocre sequel which takes the originality of the first movie and ruin it with a tired concept which has been done over and over. The actors to their best but part of me still cant help dislike the kid.

Poor comedy movie, with only a few moments worth a chuckle but with little else going for it and a waste of some good acting talent. The ridiculous, unbelievable plot line certainly doesn't help.

Good to see a war movie that is not all about shootouts and gunfire but it's not the best war movie by a long shot. The acting and directing is good and it held my interest but that's about it.

Passable horror that has some good moments but unfortunately falls into the category of "what are they playing at" and instead of just taking a hint, turning around and heading home the road trip continues and subsequent mayhem ensues.

Stylish thriller/horror which starts slowly but builds into a mix between Straw Dogs and Hostel. Some moments of human stupidity under stress do detract from the fluidity at times. It is however graphic and entertaining.

Started well but ran out of steam about half way through. Page is excellent throughout but I expected more from the Bateman/Garmer couple and it did feel a little like an MTV show.

Better than Thor but still not the showstopper I expected. It does stay true to the comics and does a good job of showing how the man becomes hero. Hugo Weaving does and excellent job as the evil nemesis.

Passable effort which lacks a real unstoppable super villain. Downey is excellent as usual and the movie works the storyline well to get Nick Fury involved. Lacking real action scenes until the final battle it concentrates on character and storyline development so those expecting an action packed CGI dream may be disappointed.

Clever, well written and well acted. The adjustment bureau is a sci fi classic full of ripple effects and paradox moments. Damon is believable as the perplexed wannabe senator and although the ending is a bit weak I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Two superbly acted lead roles mask what it an average road trip movie and escalate it into an hilarious roller coaster of fun. Downey shows, once again, that he can play comedy without acting like an idiot while Galifianakis is quickly rising into comedy ****. Not likely to appear on any top ten lists but a solid movie with plenty of laughs right through.

Unfortunately I had high expectations for this movie and I was sorely disappointed. There was so much more scope for battle scene which and along with his band of merry friends I struggled to understand why Thor and co. were build up to be this crack squad of warriors when they done so little battling.

Single white female clone with none of the originality. The acting is wooden and the plot is so far from realism that the actions of the characters beggars belief.

One of the better zombie horror efforts of the last few years. It's not as apocalyptic as Romeros original but the storyline works well and the action scenes are good.

More of the same from the Harry Potter franchise although this movie seemed to indicate a turn towards the dark moody end to the series which was hinted in the Half Blood Prince film.

Outrageous but with some laugh out loud moments, basically all you would expect from A Farrelly brother movie. Gets a bit soppy at the end but tends to keep the laugh coming throughout.

Bizarre, surreal and zany with all the hallmarks of a Cohen brothers movie. Not as polished as some later efforts but that adds to the movie. With great performances from both Cage & Hunter.

Popcorn for the brain: action, aliens and marines. Some good concepts with the aliens being mortal and (in general) defeatable with standard weaponry, although if I was being picky I would have expect a bit more from a race that mastered that level of space travel and technology.

Scream 4 does exactly what is expected, roll the first three movie together, add a twist (although hardly a surprise when it does happen) and let the body count rise. Worth a watch if you enjoyed the first three.

Passable action/buddy movie with a good storyline but poor cliche ridden acting. The action scenes are good but sparse. It could have been so much more.

If you like souped up cars ripping up streets then you'll love this. If you don't you won't. Behind all the cars is a mediocre action movie with average acting and a poor plot.

A superb performance by Robin Williams raises this movie above the usual run of the mill thrillers. Although he is disturbed you cannot help but feel a certain sorrow for his character and this is what makes the **** the rest of it is fairly obvious stock.

Hard to stretch this review to 150 characters as it can be summed up very easily. Great concept, awful movie and a waste of Anthony Hopkins time and talent.

Not quite Leon or The Assassin but a good movie and a great performance by Saoirse Ronan. Eric Bana could have been developed into a more impacting role and the family was either very strange or my concept of sanity is very misdirected but it's an entertaining movie if you can put the holes in the plot out of your mind.

I was expecting an action movie along the lines of the classic Red Dawn however I got a movie that spent too long on a camping trip, have an invasion force that couldn't shoot straight and heroes that injured themselves running into gardening equipment!! Great concept, poorly outlayed.

Poor movie despite the interesting premise. Why Liam Neeson wasted his talent on this film is beyond me. The plot was illogical and the ending was so obvious I may as well have stopped watching about an hour into the movie.

The plot flows well and the twists and turns come thick and fast, although not as enjoyable as the book it does stay loyal to the storyline unfortunately this means that William H Macy is vastly underused but it's well worth checking this firm out.

Not a bad movie although Jolies character is far more interesting than Ryders and this unsettles the fluidity of the movie. Overall it a watchable and at times enjoyable movie but is ends up as a second rate One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest

I felt very disappointed with this movie. I was expecting great things with the cast/director however the whole movie left a little flat and disjointed. I didn't warm towards any of the characters with the exception of the kid and the ending was ridiculous.

Entertaining movie about the varying fortunes of two bands competing with each other while the members are still in school, one being U2 obviously. It follows the path of the unsuccessful band and the relationship of the two brothers who front the band. While very funny in parts with a few laugh out loud moments I thought the last half hour felt strained and didn't sit well with the rest of the movie and left me a little disappointed

I liked this movie, not necessarily because of the whole concept of the drug and its potential was brilliant. I liked the way Bradley Coopers character acted in a realistic way getting gradually more adventurous rather than going straight into world domination mode. It would have been nice to see Robert De Niro develop into more of a nemesis but this is a minor flaw in an otherwise entertaining movie.

Interesting interwoven tale of numerous lives although the Tom Cruise character dominates the movie. A superbly acted and directed movie which everybody should see.

With this and the woeful "Priest" in the bag I have to wonder why Paul Bettany has bothered. This is a predictable, spot the plot religious horror. I didn't set my expectations too high but unfortunately this movie still came up short. I thought with Dennis Quaid and Charles S.Dutton there may be hope but unfortunately not although at least Duttons character had some purpose unlike the other cannon fodder.

Poor movie that doesn't know if it is a western, a sci fi or a horror and is severely lacking in script or character depth (despite there being ample opportunities for either). The ending is a damp squid and I am struggling to find another movie where an evil foe was defeated so easily. Although left open for a sequel hopefully everybody will decide to do the world a favour and leave this in the bargain bin section where it belongs.

Watchable but not the movie it was hyped up to be. The whole movie was held together by the excellent performance by Winslett and I felt it would have worked better without the flash forward moments to the present which broke the flow of the movie.

Tongue and cheek sci fi at its best. Doesn't take itself too seriously and once you don't take the movie too seriously either and enjoy it for what it, is a human kick alien butt sci-fi action movie with major plot holes, unbelievable swings/changes in how the aliens act and characters so wooden you could build a raft with them, 50's B movie stock given a nineties twist....classic.

Perhaps only bettered by Harry & Lloyd from Dumb & Dumber as the greatest comic duo of the modern age. Classic comic caper which is as ridiculous as it is funny with a great tongue in cheek performance from Rob Lowe. You will either love or hate this movie. I love it.

Classic sci-fi movie that changed movie making in its genre. Although a little dated now you still have to admire how well made the movie is. The characters are believable, the set is believable, the storyline is excellent and for most part the alien is terrifying. The main disappointment is the long shots of the alien which give it a human in a suit look. often copied but rarely bettered,if you have not seen this movie do so now.

The performance of Christian Bale and Amy Adams lift this movie from mediocrity and although there is nothing surprising or that hasn't been seen before it is worth a watch although don't set your hopes too high as it's no Rocky and is a million miles from Raging Bull.

Intentionally over the top and unrealistic action/rom com movie which is entertaining if you leave your brain behind and enjoy a seemingly invincible Tom Cruise drive, shoot and fight his way through situation after situation with Cameron Diaz in tow as the ditzy blonde (with a twist)

Brilliant acting from Downey Jr raises this movie from middle of the road to a good film. Some good camera work adds to the fight scene although at times it feels a bit like a Victorian CSI episode.

Not a bad movie but could have been so much more, Brody was a waste of talent as his character didn't need any acting skills. Don't know what was going on with the introduction of a character halfway through that made no impact on the movie and the rest of the cast were the usual mish mash of stereotypes. In all watch it once to see a decent action movie but don't expect too much

Better than I thought it was going to be, part action movie, part buddy flick. Won't set the world alight but good popcorn for the brain and worth looking at.

Poor movie, made worst by a ridiculous ending which has been done over and over in the past. There is no glossing over the fact that this has got to be one of the poorest movie I have seen in a long time (and I've watched some rubbish!!)

Although not a patch on the brilliant Shaun of The Dead, Paul is an enjoyable part road trip movie, part buddy movie, part E.T remake for the new century. Some great in film jokes and lines which Sci-Fi fans will get. It's not going to set the world on fire but switch your brain to off and laugh your way through this film.

While I can appreciate why some people would enjoy this movie I felt it was more of a period drama and was annoyingly slow moving. There were no surprises in the movie so why they chose to drag out the scenes is beyond me. Also the disjointed plot involving the second world war scenes only further distanced me from the movie. Although it was all brought together at the end I struggled to keep my interest from waning.

Excellent portrayal of the final days of the Third Reich and in particular **** and his demise into insanity and paranoia. Well directed with some excellent camera work, this film was rightly nominated for an Oscar and is a must for anybody with an interest in the era of history.
