An action comedy that works. But it’s also a surprisingly poignant romance. This is the summer flick you’ve been waiting for.

Diaz works that trademark mix of ditziness, sexiness, and brassiness.

This is a good fun movie. The drug sequences are hilarious. Cameron Diaz stole the show, and she showed it wasn't her first rodeo. I would love to make another.

This is a great movie! I wasn't expecting much, but I was really pleased. It's everything an action movie should be. The characters are compelling and I was never bored once.

Nothing Cruise does seems to come from the inside -- every eye crinkle, every grimace, every brow furrow seems plucked from the air, collected from the universe around him and bent to do his bidding. Maybe that’s one kind of acting. But it’s not cool. Never will be.

Roy is like a meta-Cruise or a Cruise pastiche; even the disturbing, stalkerish aspects of his character seem as if they were constructed from tabloid stories about the actor's marriage, his religious affiliation, his sexual identity.

The A.V. Club
Cruise is thrown into many sticky situations, with legions of trained assassins surrounding him on all sides, but he never once suggests that things aren’t entirely under control. It’s profoundly boring to watch a hero without weaknesses; after all, even Superman has Kryptonite.

We don’t ask for much from this kind of movie, but Knight and Day tramples on our desire for just enough plausibility to release the fun. It makes us feel like fools for wanting to be entertained by froth.

The source of this movie's energy is near-perpetual desperation. You can see it in Tom Cruise's fixed grin, and in the mad proliferation of unspecial effects.

Funny as hell do not listen to the cringers, is a popcorn flick and do what is meant to be done, entertain you for a while with a good dosis of comedy and action. The plot is not that weak at all as other kind of movies, with some Twists, still great movie. But you know all the snoobs want every **** movie be at the level of Ill Padrino, even if the movie is not aiming for that kind of level and angle.

A fairly by the numbers action comedy that is nevertheless still somewhat entertaining thanks to the charisma of it's two leads.

I didn't think this was Cruise's worst film, nor his best. I am not a Cruise fan in anyway, but I caught this recently and I found myself mostly engaged from beginning to end. The action was pretty good and the sarcasm/comedy flairs in the movie were well timed as well. Now neither Diaz or Cruise have much of a knack for comedy in my opinion anyway but they worked well together here. A movie to keep in your collection; probably not.

A for humorous misunderstandings. B for stunts. C for lame plot. F for Tom Cruise. In the spirit of Much Ado About Nothing and The Man Who Knew Too Little, we have Knight and Day. It's about a girl who gets caught up in this crazy weard investigation. The above mentioned movies were much better, though, and a lot funnier. There were funny parts, it was more like one liners or certain scenes, but as a cohesive movie - meh. Not so much. Too trite. Cool stunts, though. I like Cameron Diaz. She's cute, funny, and spunky. Not a fan of Tom Cruise. I'm sure he is a nice man, but he's just never been one of my favorites. Bit over the top for me. Gleenobly's rating: 3/10

Knight and Day is a film that follows a spy and a surburban woman through intense comical expeditions throughout the world. Tom Cruise plays the spy (which makes the film interesting already), and Diaz along his side for the ride, in which she seems like she doesn't care what her fellow does except shooting bad guys and "re-enatcing grand theft auto on the I-94" makes the film a complete trainwreck but at the same time, addictive. Director James Mangold makes the film into an ongoing compilation of barely comical scenes with a nice heaping of action to compensate. Bad scenes for 2 hours and 10 minutes, and a dose of Diaz and Tom Cruise makes the film a "No". Go see something else.
