It's Wayne's World, the hilarious, party-down movie of the year, featuring rockin' tunes, radical babes, and your most excellent hosts, Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey). WAYNE: "No way, Professor; we just needed a story so we could string a lot of gags together without it getting too boring."

As a movie, Wayne's World isn't much more than an amiable goof, yet it's carried along by the flaked-out exuberance of its two stars.

Party on Wayne! Wayne's world is a cinematic masterpiece. This is the best movie ever made. I have seen this movie so many times and it remains a classic masterpiece of cinema. 11/10. Amazing movie with tons of memorable quotes. Best movie ever

Party time, excellent! Myers and Carvey have been given a whole movie to mesh their comedic chops into. The result? A cult classic, the two guys have so much charisma on screen and it's hard to swat away the rocking soundtrack in place. Wayne and Garth deliver laugh after laugh (calling every stuck-up, hardass) under the sun. If you loved the nineties and love to party, Wayne's World is simply a perfect take on the slobbish love life with comical results.

Well, it's sorta funny, and most genial: for all their ranking on parents and drooling over hot babes, Wayne and Garth are innocent kids wasting time creatively.

Actually, as films inspired by Saturday Night Live sketches go, this is pretty good. Count on three big belly laughs if you are over 30, more if you are under 18 and even have a belly. [14 Feb 1994 Pg. 04.D]

However, thanks to engaging performances and a sharp script, this movie - essentially a series of three-minute sketches filling 101 minutes could be just the right choice for that Saturday night date, while Wayne-speak will no doubt be quoted and become part of the English language.

The Wayne's World concept, which, egged on by a rabid studio audience, works so beautifully in skit format, ends up feeling dragged out and energy-less at feature length. [14 Feb 1992 Pg. F1]

Wayne's World has been engineered to amuse people who are mirror images of its heroes, but it goes wickedly wrong: It's so dumb it talks down to the stupid.

The best stupid comedy of all tIme. This is comedic genius. One of the most quotable movies ever and Garth is the best comedy character ever in a movie

Pretty solid comedy. It has just enough eccentricity to make it stand out and be entertaining. It’s just not good enough to warrant anything above a 6.

This mega-hit is over-rated as hell and plenty stoopid, but there is still much going on that you can't help but laught over it.

I really couldn't see the point of this film, and how some people regard it as a classic. I do agree that some parts were laughable like when Myer's character out of no where sponsors products intentionally for laughs at the camera or Myer's character's recurring ex-girlfriend sub plot. But there wasn't really any wit or intelligence to this movie, nor any consistency to the plot. Granted the film knows what it is, it is a stupid comedy making fun of people acting stupid. I might have to give this one a second viewing, but I came away from this one disappointed by the abrupt ending and how little I cared about the characters. 6/10
