Deadpool & Wolverine6
Aug 13, 2024
Main problem here is that the movie *expects* that you've watched the "Logan" movie and the "Loki" tv show a thing most Marvel movie do (and should stop doing) Not great, not terrible movie.

Solid movie. I especially liked the characters making reasonable decisions for once.

What a disaster .. Terrible story, obligatory woke moments and litterally every single joke missed by a mile. What an abomination.

When spreading "THE MESSAGE" becomes more important than telling a good story nobody will watch your movie. It's that simple really ......

Is it done? Did they finally milk the franchise to death and we can move on now?

Top Gun: Maverick10
Jun 30, 2022
A worthy sequel to the 1986's cult movie "Top Gun". Tom Cruise looks like he enjoyed every second of playing his iconic role one more time and it shows: I had a blast watching it.

Sonic the Hedgehog 27
May 24, 2022
Enjoyed the first one and liked this one as well. I'm just curious why they gave Rachel so much screentime, as it added *nothing* to the story.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness1
May 24, 2022
"Dr. Strange needs to save the most boring and uninteresting "superhero" from a disgruntled former superhero/wannabe mommy, who tries to steal their powers in order to revive their failing tv show that we all try to forget even existed." Pretty sure there's a multiverse out there, where this movie is considered "good", too bad where not in that multiverse right now. Also: It's become an unhealthy habit, that Marvel Movies now require you to watch a whole show in advance so you as the viewer can even understand what's actually happening on the screen...

Everything Everywhere All at Once4
May 17, 2022
It starts off with a great premise, but for a solid 45 minutes towards the ending the plot litterally goes *nowhere* ...

Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one (I do hope Halleck will also be charging into battle holding a pug like Sir Patrick Stewart did)

Feb 16, 2022
The biggest thing in this movie wasn't the moon but the plotholes ... However if you like explosions and don't need a story that goes along with that, then this movie is for you.

Brightburn0
Jun 26, 2019
Do you know the meme with the dog sitting in a burning building, drinking coffee and saying: "This is fine"? That's how litterally every character in the movie acts, when they see what's happening around them.

Avengers: Endgame10
Jun 5, 2019
While it's always hard to see an epic journey end, 'Endgame' was a worthy conclusion of the Infinity saga. Would I have like that things turned out different? Yes. Would I still recommend it? Absolutely.
Jun 5, 2019
Godzilla: King of the Monsters3
Jun 5, 2019
The story was beyond stupid. It's like the script was written 15 minutes before they started filming. Monster battles could have been longer imho.

Bright5
Dec 31, 2017
Bright is an action packed movie filled with car chases, gun fights and smug one-liners. Not sure what the critics who bashed this film were expecting when they reviewed a film with elves, orcs and magic... Is it a great movie? Probably not. Is it entertaining? Yup, very fun to watch.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi0
Dec 21, 2017
It's sort of ironic, that one year after Carrie Fisher passed away the Star Wars franchise apparently met the same fate. Honestly I don't even know where to start here: The jokes are aimed at 5 year olds, characters are introduced and killed off for no reason (or explanation) and for some reason everyone keeps repeating their last sentence over and over and for some reason everyone keeps repeating their last sentence over and over... Also a sheer neverending amount of deus ex machinas and plot armor moments.

Justice League4
Nov 22, 2017
I constantly got the impression that none of the actors actually *wanted* to be in this movie (except Ezra Miller, he really enjoyed his role to the max) and who could blame them? The story was boring and the run-of-the-mill villain didn't help either.
Nov 3, 2017
Thor: Ragnarok8
Nov 3, 2017
Probably the best Thor movie so far: It's packed with action and has lots of hilarious & funny moments (although I felt that they went a bit overboard on the comedy stuff)

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets4
Aug 3, 2017
[TL;DR]The best way to describe this movie would be 'Fifth Element' without the plot. When somewhere within a movie trailer you see the words: "From the director of insert-your-favorite-movie-here" you know it's going to be an average experience. I really wanted to give Luc Besson, the benefit of the doubt here yet 'Valerian and the city of a thousand planets' just fails miserably. I really wonder when people will finally get tired of these plotless movies that are overloaded with cgi crap. Since Michael Bay has - once again - proven that you can make billions of dollars with this concept, I doubt it will be any time soon.

Here's a short guide how to win an academy award: Step 1) Make a movie about the second World War (because nobody ever had *that* idea) Step 2) ???, Step 3: Profit.

Spider-Man: Homecoming4
Jul 15, 2017
Breaks from canon can be a good thing, but not always and not in this movie: Things like "why is aunt may getting younger with every reboot" and "Why is Mary Jane now suddenly afro-american" really make me wonder what Hollywood is actually trying to accomplish here in this third (!) reboot of the Spiderman franchise. Make it controversial so everyone watches it? I have no idea. What I *do* know is that 'Spiderman Homecoming' feels shallow: The main villain isn't threatening and both he and Iron Man just recite their lines and look bored as hell. Raimi's Spiderman still is - at least for me - the better movie in just about every aspect.

Guardians of the Galaxy0
Jun 18, 2017
I can't for my life understand why people joined the circle jerk of Guardians of the Galaxy being the best movie ever made. Special thanks to Kyle Smith from NYP who gave this garbage the movie score it deserved.

The Mummy7
Jun 18, 2017
Solid monster movie, althought he ending was quite a let down. No idea why people downvoted this movie into oblivion, but I heard the fact that "Brendan Fraser wasn't in it" played a big role here. After how terrible the third mummy movie was, it only makes sense to let someone else take the lead role... Preferably someone who still *has* a movie career.
Jun 10, 2017
Alien: Covenant4
Jun 10, 2017
This movie should have been called: Alien: Idiots in Space. The plot's basically the same as in any "teenagers getting murdered one by one" B-Movie. There are no surprises in this movie and it just gets tedious watching these "lemmings with machine guns" stumble through the thin plot... Examples? "Why of course I follow you into that dark room after seeing you do some very suspicious things. Oh, I'm dead? How could I have ever seen that coming?"

Wonder Woman6
Jun 8, 2017
It feels a lot like watching the first captain america movie, but without an interesting main character ... pretty much a two and a half hour long snoozefest.
May 31, 2017
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales4
May 31, 2017
It starts off rather interesting, but sadly falls apart only after a few minutes. Items appear without explanation when "the plot requires it", the villain constantly keeps killing random extras to make him look even more "evil" ... now add boring characters and lots of "getting rescued at the last second" moments: That's the whole movie for you.
May 6, 2017
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 20
May 6, 2017
Imagine your friend makes a bad joke and you give him the pity laugh so he wouldn't feel like an idiot, yet he simply won't get the hint and continue with his bad jokes: Then you know exactly how watching this movie feels like... The main plot litterally starts 90 mins in: Until then we get dramatic slow walking, lots of 70s/80s music and plenty of moments that are just cringeworthy "Hey, this guy has a funny name, let's made lame jokes about that for the next 5 minutes ..." also let's have a Yondu, Rocket and Groot subplot that goes nowhere, just because this movie needs some extra minutes.

It would have been much more satisfying to just copy the plot of the animated film 'Suicide Squad: Attack on Arkham' and go with that instead of smoke whatever they were smoking to come up with that movies script.

Captain America: Civil War6
Jun 11, 2016
A pretty weak villain with a plan that only worked because he somehow managed to get the right people in the right spot at the right time. Ask yourself: Wouldn't it had the same result, if he had just leaked his "evidence" to the media?

Warcraft0
Jun 11, 2016
If you're not a die-hard warcraft fan, then do yourself a favor and skip this one, you'll regret it ... nothing to see here. Probably the worst acting I've ever seen in my entire life. Every single actor really hates being in this movie and they don't even have the decency of hiding it. I wish I could say something about the plot, but I honestly had no idea what the hell they were even trying to do most of the time.

Deadpool1
Mar 28, 2016
What happens if you spend 90% of your budget on PR and 10% on the actual movie? Claming to be an "adult movie", 'Deadpool' is just a weak ragbag of jokes the writers probably found written on the walls of various middle school toilets.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice0
Mar 28, 2016
After watching this bloated mess of a movie, all I can say is: Joel Schumacher's 'Batman and Robin' is no longer the worst superhero movie of all times.

Jul 22, 2015
Haven't they milked the franchise enough yet? Was this mess of a movie *really* necessary? Nothing in this movie makes sense, it feels as if they couldnt decide between 5 different scripts and ended up taking a page of each.
