It’s an immersive, transporting, intriguing, fully-realized world that we can enjoy spending time in without rating against our ideas of which characters should “win” in that world. I don’t know how this story plays out but for now I’m content to bask in the spice glow.

This Dune dwarfs most contemporary sci-fi in its scope and execution, ably juggling multiple characters and settings so that it matches the sprawling drama of the original tome.

People struggle to watch complex, slow films now a days. People don't understand you watch films for the pay off, and sometimes that takes more than one film, and years to finish. DUNE is my favorite story ever, and the best film I've ever seen. The world is huge and mysterious, and every scene had me glued. I promise you, It's worth watching these movies many times and grasping everything they have.

Fantastic, loved all of them. Not the biggest fan of thimothée chalamet but he did very well in this film.

Denis Villeneuve’s new reboot thankfully ditches the silly, but it does take itself extremely seriously.

There’s a lot going on here — a quasi-biblical space opera, part Lawrence of Arabia and part mobster movie — and spreading it out over two movies has allowed [Villaneuve] to take his time with the story and tell it richly, and without rushing

Being the hero of the story has never looked so poisoned, and that alone is thrilling enough to hope Villeneuve gets to make part two of this impressively batshit venture.

Has Denis Villeneuve succeeded where others – most notably Alejandro Jodorowsky – have floundered? Given the extensive runtime, it’s impossible not to think of Chinese premier Zhou Enlai’s alleged assessment of the French revolution: “Too early to say.”

Dune ends up feeling like an extended prologue for what one can only hope will be a sequel that will clarify its parables and paradoxes.

A visually spectacular movie. The story is engaging and makes you want to dive even deeper into the Dune universe. The soundtrack is beautiful and well-written.

Film with a setting and atmosphere that make the film special in a positive way. The development of the story is also well done, keeping the attention high throughout the film and maintaining a mysterious tone until the end, leaving room for the sequel

Pretty average movie with the main purpose to set up the following movies. The acting is not very good and feels forced, the setting is nice but can get repetitive. I would only recommend watching it if you are invested enough to watch the following movies

I love Denis Villeneuve but except the music and the environment actors aren't so good : Zendaya, Chalamet and what ? Mr Bean ? Donald Trump ? Seriously this actors are good for a Spiderman or another teen movie but Dune is an adult saga and need adult actor !! Otherwise, its a great movie and I am excited to see Dune Part two and Part 3.

I was saddened about how slow the movie was. I could not continue watching this movie. After 20 minutes, I'm done. Really happy I didn't spent any money on this. Slow, boring, and utterly long. The same with the Napoleon movie. That was around 3 hours or so and the last half an hour was just too much. Oppenheimer last one hour too long. 3 hour movie is only a King Kong material, where action and story is in every second. This is slow and boring.
