Clair Obscur: Expedition 3310
Apr 27, 2025
I just have to say this game is phenomenal. I haven't been hooked on an RPG like this since Baldurs Gate 3. Baldurs gate 3 has much more content but every aspect of this game is polished to perfection. It's like they took every aspect of what works well in a turn based RPG, and put it all together in a melting pot. This game features the best turn based combat I have ever come across, so good that I think even people that don't usually enjoy turn based combat will love it. Amazing party characters with such depth and charm. Even the villains are amazing, the NPC's you meet are also all appealing or intriguing. The storyline is epic and the game is exceptionally beautiful and dream like. The music score is incredible. I just can't get enough of this game and I know I'll be sorry when I finish it. I'll likely play through the game more than a few times. This is what peak gaming is all about!!! I highly recommend this game if you even remotely enjoy RPG's.. and even if you don't.

Tempest Rising10

Boy I'm having a blast with tempest rising. Can't wait to see how this game develops. Hope they add more factions, units, structures and expand the storyline. But really these developers have done a great job with this game and deserve all the support they can get, I want to see much more from them. I hope many people buy this game. This is an RTS gem like they used to make them in the old days, but modernised with beautiful graphics and enhancements.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard10
Nov 18, 2024
I really can't comprehend the amount of negative reviews and hate this game gets. After playing it for many hours I can confidently say it's the best Dragon Age game I have played and one of the best games I have experienced in my life. The graphics are gorgeous once you adjust to the semi realistic look (the hair of the characters is the best I have seen in any game), the environments are stunning and the game runs flawlessly. I love all the characters, their interactions and the story. I love the combat and opening up the skill tree. Is it as complex as the other Dragon Age games probably not, but it condenses the Dragon Age experience to all the better moments with none of the time consuming fluff in between. I really can't understand the overwhelming hate for this game. I feel it's a huge disservice to the developers who clearly poured a lot of their time and passion in to making this game. Hopefully more people will give it a chance and enjoy it like I have.

Why has this game only got a 6.6 average user rating on Metacritic when the average is obviously much higher if you look through the reviews and it has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam? Please fix this as it will give people the wrong impression of the game. This is an excellent narrative driven game with a great story, beautiful pixel art style, tons of charm and emotion.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut10
May 25, 2024
Ghost of Tsushima is just incredible on PC. It's a stunningly beautiful open world game with great combat and an absorbing tale to tell. The game also comes with fantastic optimisation. There are lots of upscaling options and being an owner of a last gen Nvidia RTX card I really appreciate the fact that I can use DLSS for upscaling and FSR 3 for frame generation. FSR 3 frame generation on this game is the best implementation yet with no shimmering or artifacts and it almost doubles my framerate with no input latency, amazing. Hopefully Horizon Forbidden West will also get FSR 3 frame gen of this quality added soon.

This is a highly underrated RPG from a small development team. It has great characters, geat humour, great music and a great old school combat system with a twist that makes it really fantastic. Highly recommended. I hope more people buy this and post good reviews to support the developer, I would love more excellent games like this one from them.

Turbo Kid10
Apr 21, 2024
Based on the Turbo Kid Movie which was an apocalyptic themed movie in the vein of Mad Max with a distinct and fully intentional quirky retro feel. It got a lot of love and attention from B-movie fans. The game is brilliant and carries over the fantastic retro vibes: the art and soundtrack is incredible! The gameplay is sublime. The controls take a little getting used to but once you do the game becomes incredibly fluid, smooth and enjoyable. You can summon a bike at the push of a button and navigating the game world with it is an absolute pleasure. If you are a fan of metroidvania games or Turbo Kid this game perfectly captures the world of Turbo Kid whilst also being a really great metroidvania. The retro feel is just the icing on the cake if like me you are in to that. Highly recommended. The developer Outerminds who also created PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist have a lot of potential.

Since I started playing I have got more and more absorbed by the story, characters and details in this game. The character development and appeal is next level here. It's more like a walking simulator than a point and click adventure, but a very, very good walking simulator. Interacting with the characters and this story is absolutely absorbing and addicting. The game being so beautiful and detailed just pulls me in further still. I've gone from thinking this game is great to thinking it is somthing really special and extraordinary. I haven't been as addicted to a game in ages. I just have to see what happens next. The game is highly recommended unless you really hate walking simulators, and even then I think this experience should not be missed. It's a bit slow to start but don't let that put you off. I wouldn't have rated this game so highly if I hadn't stuck with it, and I think some people have posted average or bad review scores here only because they have only played the game at the start and them stopped playing before it got really good. Trust me stick with it, this game is incredible.

There are good reasons why people swear during Overwatch 2 matches and then they get banned. So excited for Marvel Rivals. Can't wait for a good reason to ditch rubbish overwatch 2 where matches are rigged to not let you progress / rank up at a certain point by forcing you to lose repeatedly in order to prevent said rigged progression. Not to mention mention how everything is designed to bleed you dry money wise.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect10
Feb 5, 2024
Blazeblue Entropy Effect is a fantastic action roguelike / metroidvania. The game benefits greatly from carrying over a selection of fighting moves for the featured characters from the Blazeblue fighting games and the heritage of the mainstay fighting game titles. This means the game features some of the best combat you will ever experience in the genre. It lacks some of the depth of the best in the genre but it does feature decent tactical options whereby you can select eight elements (Lightning, Fire, Ice, Blade, Toxin, Light, Umbra, and Generic) and over 200 upgrades. It's fully voice acted, sounds great, has a beautiful art style and silky smooth animations. The game could use more content (hopefully this will still follow), but the core **** game is here and it should take some time to master all the characters. The combat system alone makes the game worth playing. Thank you FGR for this entertaining repack!!!!

I just finished the game, and although I'm sure there are there plenty of other scenarios, I liked my ending so much that I don't want to play anymore to experience outcomes that possibly will be worse. It was perfect for me. I won't say anything else that could ruin the game for others, this game really has to be experienced. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was haunting, surreal and immensely satisfying with many highs and lows and ultimately ending perfectly. It likely will live on in my dreams. One of the best gaming experiences I have ever had despite being largely narrative. Highly recommended!!!!!

After playing for a while my honest opinion is this is not a huge leap over Ride 4. It has slightly improved graphics and physics. It is less optimised, though it still performs well. It also has a smaller selection of bikes. I am sure this title will still be improved / optimised. Still it is a great motorbike racing game. Sometime I switch back to ride 4, it's great to have both.

This game is out of this world. Good in so many ways. So beautiful, so deep and so satisfying. Completely unlike so many recent "AAA" games. Truly a must play experience even if you are not a fan of the genre. The gameplay, story and characters are steller and the cinimatics and character interactions are good enough to be in a top tier movie or series Your choices matter and there is so much to say and do it's overwelming in the best possible way. The detail and interactivity in this game is mind blowing. Beautiful visually and sonicly. Should get game of the century nevermind game of the year. The best video game I have ever played..period.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart10
Jul 29, 2023
Fantastic game, fun and beautiful. On pc this game is very scalable and you don't have to feel kak about dropping settings to medium or even low if you have a lower end PC. It even looks good on low settings. Low doesn't look terrible at all. I have a fairly good gaming pc and a pretty much average laptop and am enjoying it on both. A lot are of people are also enjoying it on Steam Deck as a result. If you have an older mid range PC that can handle Ray tracing I recommend medium or even low settings for everything else and having ray tracing as high as possible. But even without Ray tracing the visuals are still sweet, just not as sweet. If you are not getting good performance out of this game it is only because your pride / ego is compelling you to try to run settings as high as possible when your rig can't handle it, or you have a seriously potato PC that isn't meant for 3d gaming. Sony / Sony developers are apparently king when it comes to making good looking games scalable to be played and enjoyed by as many gamers as possible.

I play both ED and SC and I find Elite Dangerous so much more immersive, easy to play and enjoy. I don't even care if there is repetition of tasks, especially down the line. It just runs so well, so damn smooth and the sound effects are out of this world. Even just starting up my ship is a euphoric experience for me in Elite Dangerous and I never get tired of it. The ships are overly complicated in Star Citizen and the set up is intimidating. Playing it feels more like hard work. That's not to say I don't enjoy Star Citizen, it's the second best space sim in my opinion and there are aspects of it that are better than elite dangerous I love my persona and character development in Star Citizen as well as walking around my ship and the graphics are mind blowing. What I usually do is play Star Citizen for a few hours and when exhaustion sets in and I get tired of the bugs I switch to Elite Dangerous which feels more polished and way more chilled to play. But we really are spoiled brats when we get to play such amazing games and we fight over which is better. Play your favourite or play both and just be grateful you are born in a time that we can have such amazing experiences in video games. When I was a kid I used to fantasize about exploring space and having amazing adventures there. 10 year old me would have pissed his pants with excitement if he could have played either of these two games back then.

After playing for a while now I can say that this is some seriously addictive s***. I haven't enjoyed fps this much in ages. Shooters are suddenly fun again! We are really getting to the point where small independent developers are producing games that are better than many AAA studios. The game also looks stunning and runs like a dream. Can't believe some big studios are releasing games in a poorly optimised state. I think critics have seriously under rated this game. It's sad to say that I think good reviews are often paid for by the fat cats of the industry.

These days it seems anything that feels different is great to play. I love all the references, humour and goofiness and yet this game plays like a decent souls like. So many recent games are virtual carbon copies of other games and are only recycling old stale ideas. This one may be a love letter to souls games but it still feels fresh and fun at the same time. I appreciate the retro touches as well (being a gamer for almost 43 years) The size of the download is also impressive to say the least for the content here,

Seriously, more people need to buy this game and enjoy it, please support this developer. The game is amazing and I enjoyed every minute. Great horror elements and a strong storyline. It's also a great point and click game that can stand up there with the best. Visually appealing and the audio is outstanding. The only minor complaint I have is sometimes it seems to be a bit vague as to what you should do next. That said It's a testament to how good the game is that this minor gripe won't put you off playing it. Indie game of the year in my opinion.

Yet another indie gaming treasure.!!! With absolutely stunning graphics / visuals Bramble just runs like a dream even on a potato PC. This is a breath of fresh air compared to this years poorly optimised AAA pc games that are released in a shambles. Sound design is also incredible. The game is charming yet foreboding with intriguing characters and a storyline that hooked me in from start to finish. It is short and sweet and another must play title produced by Indie developers. It now sits firmly among my indie favourites like Stray, Hades, and Cassette Beasts. The gameplay reminded me of Little Nightmares and Inside, and you should definitely play this if either of those games appealed to you. Loved it!!!!

Got some Paper Mario vibes going on here. Rainbow Billy seems like a kids game especially with all the bright colours and cute characters. But the game has some dark adult based themes, some really top notch dialogue, fun gameplay and a healthy dose of good humour. I highly recommend. Globally it has pretty decent reviews, definitely more than meets the eye to this game. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Though the difficulty/challenge could be turned up a bit (Hint for the sequel @ devs) .. it's still 100% worth playing. As a video game it hits all the right spots, 1. Fun to play (extremely). 2. Good gameplay (best battle system of any RPG I have played, acquiring and capturing of so many new personas, even fusing of Personas, epic system of levelling up via battles and through personal growth / learning in day to day life and through bonds with other characters 3. Good story (Epic story) 4. Engaging (takes you out of this world.. you won't want to leave and you won't want it to end) 5. interesting characters (you will be smitten) 6. Good graphics (like playing an anime.. especially on pc) 7. Good sound/music (outstanding sound track, voice acting and effects) 8. Emotional involvement (will play with your emotions and heart strings like a puppet.. and you will love it). You will play for many, many, many hours but you still won't want it to end. When it finally does end you will feel sad but you will also be left with wonderful memories.. and a yearning to return to play through again, and again etc..

Max Payne 39
May 26, 2012
This game is amazing and I would very much like to give it a 10.I love the matrix style shooting , the attention to detail and realism in how the characters react to being shot , dependent on where a bullet strikes **** injuries and related gore are also extremely realistic. However I am not giving the game a 10 based on one factor **** shooting gets a little old and repetitive after the first 2 or three hours of game **** story telling is engrossing and it is almost a relief to get to the story sections to break the monotony of the shooting. That being said I did enjoy playing the game in smaller sessions and it was always satisfying to come back to the bullet ballet after a leave of absence. So in summary , more variety in the game play department would have made this game a classic. However , no other shooter does shooting as well as Max Payne does and the story telling is **** I think a 9 is a fair score.Another Rock Star success.
