My feelings about Until Then evolved the longer I played. What at first seemed like a slow-paced visual novel with retro graphics gradually began to reveal itself as something much more sophisticated. Excellent character development and a surprising, emotionally varied narrative are at the heart of Until Then, but its storytelling mechanics are fresh and contemporary, too. Mark and his gang have interesting stories to tell, and so does Until Then.

While the setting and inspirations are Filipino through and through, the themes of friendship, love, loss, and acceptance in this visual novel are universal.

Romantic relationships here come with the types of complexities that you’d expect—jealous friends, misunderstandings, and stupid decisions—such that the sincere moments that come afterward feel earned.

Until Then has an interesting art style and some decent writing, but mundane pacing, limited interactivity and contrived, poorly delivered drama make for a forgettable adventure.

I can relate, tho without the deja vu, i am afraid of change... The change of being left out or parting ways with friends I've been with and bonded with.

fantasticly likeable and well written characters thrown away at less than mid story

Pro: Phillipines setting, great usage of phone especially at night. Can be cosy. Con: Sometimes pretentious and drags itself out. Generally a very predictable ride.

Felt quite bored, couldnt finish it. Managed to reach ch 5 but the pace was too and not much happened, + its basically a graphic novel and choices doesnt matter much, watching a gameplay on youtube is more less the same thing

The game's art and visual style is pretty interesting, even though his story and narrative is somewhat cliche, like something i already seen before in a teenager TV series.
