Warning in that this movie is not suitable for children! The visual effects are breathtaking. That's the good news. The bad news is that the movie is 3 boring hours long and plays out like watching a bloodthirsty video game. The white man is bad as he destroys the environment, innocent animals and children. Yes children. It reminds you of cowboys killing the red men Indians but in Avatar substitute blue for red. That pretty much sums it up but why not throw in some bad whale hunters without compassion who torture and kill a mother whale with her calf alongside. All for a test tube of magic elixir so why not make whales extinct. And what would a James Cameron movie be without the Titanic sinking as he even incorporates that into his farce. I was waiting for Celine Dion to start singing the heart will go on.

I couldn't wait to see ELVIS after the pure joy of Top Gun Maverick (10) and the utter disappointment of Jurassic World Dominion (0). Let me begin by stating that the biopic was very dark and depressing. Austin Butler's portray of Elvis was excellent. It was so brilliant that I can see him get an Oscar nomination. Tom Hanks portrayal of the Colonel was so irritating and annoying. Once again Tom proves he can adapt to any role as he wanted to play it that way. He basically kept Elvis as if he was a bird in a cage and is largely responsible for Elvis' death at age 42. I think the audience would have loved to see more of Elvis' music. I also can't believe that no one ever looked into the Colonel's mental abuse and stealing 50% of his earnings. You would have thought that Priscilla and Elvis would have had that discussion however Elvis and his father, his business manager are portrayed as country bumpkins right up until his death. I find that near impossible to believe. I guess I went to see the movie hoping it would celebrate Elvis's life and music; but instead l, I found it downright sad and depressing.

Great popcorn "buddy" action flick with Tom & Mark showing great chemistry together. The best way to describe it is a budding 2022 franchise version of Indiana Jones which will become more & more popular with each sequel. If they tighten up the script for the next one, you're talking major blockbuster. Wouldn't be shocked that by word of mouth this flick goes over $100M domestically. Definitely a movie to see.

Possibly one of the worst sci-fi movies of all time. Basically Roland mailed it in stealing lines from his previous movies and just substituting different actors. The acting was subpar; the character development nonexistent, as you could care less about a single character. The fact that the last scene suggested a sequel is laughable as this movie bombed at the box office, and deservedly so. A sequel would draw less moviegoers than Biden had at his rallies. Moonfall is an abomination from start to finish. Everything predictable. Avoid at all costs.

One of the worst movies of all time. Dull, tedious & boring are the only adjectives to describe it. Almost no action for an hour. No character development but it hardly matters as you don't care about anyone, not even Wonder Woman. As good as the original was that's how bad WW84 is. It's like watching paint dry. The same scene was repeated over and over until the audience makes a wish that the movie projector would break so to put us all out of our misery. The action scenes were comical without any suspense whatsoever. If you suffer from insomnia then this is the movie for you. The only good news is that no studio in their right mind would ever make another sequel. Avoid at all costs. You've been warned.

I was so looking forward to seeing this movie. How could you not with the entire world never hearing of the Beatles and their great music except for one down and out person. The premise was outstanding for a romantic musical comedy. Unfortunately, within a half an hour the entire movie comes off the rails as it disintegrates into a boring, by the numbers, predictable “how did they completely ruin this movie!” Avoid.

Let me preface my remarks by stating I was at the midnight screening for the original Independence Day in a jam packed theater twenty years ago. It became one of my favorite movies as I must have watched it a million times. I can recite just about every line in the original. When I heard they were making ID2 I couldn't wait as I tried to get every bit of information I could. I saw it today. How in the world can anyone connected to this project look at themselves in the mirror. Without question it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. How can you take something so special and turn it into a computer generated CGI video game. There is nothing to like here. The script is totally lame! The acting terrible. And the directing possibly the worst I have ever seen. You care nothing for any character. When you make a movie there is supposed to be a story. Sadly, there isn't any. They took the original and turned into a video game with explosions. Giving this movie a rating of one is stretching it. Roland should be ashamed of this utter garbage.

I have always wondered about Metacritic in whether or not these reviews are from actual moviegoers. I am sorry to report that the reviews you see for The 5th Wave are mostly phony. I thought so before I decided to see the movie yesterday but wanted to make certain for myself. If you click on some of these reviewers previous reviews you will see just one review, which is of course, for you guessed it, The 5th Wave. Coincidence? I don't think so. Metacrtic should be monitoring these reviews. So sad. In the rave reviews below you will see the same buzz words repeated. "Doesn't disappoint"; "harsh critics"; "haunting"; "thrill ride"; ""scary" "YA movie", "Don't listen to the critics", "better than Independence Day" etc. I'm sorry to report that all these reviews were written by the same person who needs to study up on her spelling. But I do give this young teenage girl an "A" for effort in trying to get you to go see this movie. Let me begin by stating that this is a mindless movie for teenage girls under the age of 15. The acting, directing, and cinematography is what you would expect in a campy "B"movie. It was painful to watch. Unfortunately, if you buy the propaganda you will soon learn there is never any action, nor a moment of suspense, and completely forget about any thrill rides! Scary? Haunting? Midway thru the movie you may want to take some No Dose to stay awake! About 20 minutes into the flick you know you've been had. It's so badly acted that you actually want to stay to see what comes next. It's almost laughable. The first wave is all power is lost on the planet. No cell phone, no automobiles, no planes, no running water. 15 minutes later the US Army comes marching into camp riding school buses. Really? No explanation how they did it but just accept it as fact. By now anyone with an IQ above their actual age realize what the 5th wave is. Then it goes from bad to worse. I almost felt like I was watching a video game unfold before my eyes. If you think you are going to see any aliens good luck. There are none. Just ridiculous mumble jumble of a script that defies any and all logic. Giving this movie a rating of 1 isn't even justified. For the record I love science fiction movies of all kinds. This is by far one of the worst movies ever made. Avoid at all costs Collapse

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

I saw this movie yesterday in a packed theater. Let me preface my remarks by stating I am an independent voter as I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. With regard to the 13 hours it will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as Michael Bay the Director makes you feel that you are right there with the brave men and women in Benghazi and not just American's. Benghazi is a war torn hell hole that you would not wish on your worst enemy. At no time does the movie meander to or even mention politics. The acting is superb. Having said all that I was under the impression that this movie was about 6 brave men, two of which lost their lives trying to save Ambassador Stevens and his small staff. Now I find out that is not even remotely true. There were a staff of about 25 civil service CIA American's in the compound whose lives were at stake when the terrorists attacked the American Compound about a mile away from where Ambassador Stevens was killed. Make no doubt that this was a planned terrorist attack as the Pentagon watched all that was happening. Having said that, how did President Obama and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State even have the nerve to advice the American public that these were protesters reacting to an American made negative Muslim video? Why were repeated requests for assistance denied? Why hasn't Congress subpoenaed the clerical civil servants that almost died if not for these 6 brave men who stood guard similar to Davy Crockett at the Alamo because this is what it was. Finally if our government will lie to us about our Embassy being attacked and cover that up, what other lies are they keeping from us? This is a must see movie for everyone so you can understand the magnitude of Hillary's lies as she is untrustworthy as she belongs in jail not running for President of the United States. I'm shocked that Congress has not subpoenaed every last man and woman who was actually in Benghazi as well as our military leaders at the Pentagon who witnessed via satellite the entire attack. Can anyone really believe that President Obama, Hillary and their staff wasn't awakened with this news? Who ordered the cover up and why?

I'm not a huge Tom Cruise fan by any stretch of the imagination. I go all the way back to the original black and white TV series Mission Impossible with Peter Graves, Martin Landau and Barbara Bain. When the franchise was reinvented on the Silver Screen with Tom Cruise in the lead I made sure to see them all. To tell the truth they were enjoyable but in the range of a 7 score. This latest movie is a 10 as it will keep you on the edge of your seat, has tension, with just enough comic relief and action to make it very enjoyable. Cruise is masterful in this flick. The best part is you won't be able to figure out the ending which I'm always able to do. This one is a sure crowd pleaser so don't miss it.

Whenever Mr. Depp is on the screen you have a very nervous ache in the pit of your stomach. He most definitely will get an Academy Nomination for this role as he is back big time. I am a true lover of science fiction movies and was very much looking forward to seeing The Martian. Little did I realize that the trailer was the movie. Mars is depicted beautifully. Matt Damon is cracking jokes throughout his ordeal. Think back Tom Hanks with his volleyball friend Wilson as that is all he had to keep his sanity while he was stranded. On the other hand Matt Damon thinks of his situation like a huge video game in that he has to be smarter than the average bear. At no time does the audience not think that he isn't getting back home. There is no suspense; no sense of urgency; no sense of danger; and that is what takes the movie down. If you saw Sandra Bullock in the yawn of a movie Gravity where she talks to herself, the The Martian is the same, but this time with Matt Damon in a comedic role which belies all realty. By the 2nd hour you;re checking your watch asking when this will end. I'm sorry but when this hits free TV just like Gravity I would never give it a second look. Bring No Doze if you plan to attend.

From the moment the familiar theme music started Jurassic World grabbed you as it took you back in time 20 years to the classic Jurassic Park. Was it as good as the original? No not even close because back then we had never seen dinosaurs come back to life so realistically. So basically coming in we knew what to expect as far as the story goes. Kids sent to a relative in Jurassic World, this time an Aunt as opposed to Grandfather John Hammond. Every precaution is taken to protect the guests but as we all know the guests are food for the nothing can go wrong dinosaur theme park. Chris Pratt as the hero recreates the same character as in the blockbuster hit Guardian's Of The Galaxy, a modern day Harrison Ford if you will. Whatever can go wrong does go wrong. And Chris Pratt's character comes to the rescue for the kids and falls in love with the ice cold Aunt who happens to be the director of the park. It's just a great popcorn flick for the entire family. The special affects are absolutely outstanding. Look for this movie to take in over $100 million dollars this opening weekend. Fun movie everyone should enjoy as long as you know going in it's feeding time for the dinosaurs.

The story is even more remarkable because it is true. At the end of the movie when they explain how many ally lives were saved it is really inaccurate. There is absolutely no dialogue, no character development, no acting, zippo, nada, nothing! This flick is a non stop shoot up video game for teenage children with ADD. Scene after scene repeated ad nausea with the bad guys falling like ducks in a shooting gallery. The good guys outnumbered 1000-1 no direct hits. I felt like I was watching two hours of Ninetendo's Space Invaders or Asteroids. Then in the end they threw in some Circus Soleil spectaculars with the goonies swinging back and forth on tall bamboo stilts as sitting targets. Sorry I just don't get it. I love science fiction movies as they are my favorite. I don't hate anyone. So it was with great anticipation that I looked forward to seeing Interstellar. After seeing the movie I didn't know whether to give it a 10 or a zero as I was that torn in two directions. So first the Pro's in that the visuals are simply breathtakingly stunning. You feel like a kid in a candy store taking in all the sights and sounds that NASA provided of space. So now for the cons. The movie is way too long, and in parts drags on unmercifully. The character development other than Cooper is sadly lacking. There are more plot holes than blackholes. Matt Damon is totally miscast and distracts from the actual movie. There is way too much technical "gobbily **** going on in which you need to be a rocket scientist to understand what the characters are discussing. It all gets boring very fast. Other than Cooper and his daughter Murph there is no other character you really care for; unless, of course the Robot is considered a person. LOL Anne Hathway, a terrific actor in her own right, is totally miscast. Michael Caine is totally underutilized. John Lithgow is wasted. When the movies draws to its illogical conclusion you feel as if saying OK I just wasted 3 hours of my life. The message is simple. As the Beatles once said ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!

Run don't walk to see this wonderful movie. Bill Murray's acting should earn him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor as it may be his finest work ever! If you are coming to see Bill Murray doing strictly comedy then this isn't for you. He does have deadpan comedic lines in his performance but this is not what this story is about. Murray plays a Senior Citizen where life has beaten him to a pulp. As a result, he's turned his back on humanity. He's a totally broke down on his luck gambler, alcoholic, deadbeat, liar, buys sex, thief, and is short tempered. Not exactly your typical Saint. But underneath this complex man, with all his failings, lies the still beating heart of a warrior. He befriends a small boy who is acted superbly in this masterpiece. He teaches him about life and never to settle for ordinary. Murray's character hides a secret which explains why he's become this miserable old person. Melissa McCarthy plays it straight as the mother of Oliver {the boy}. She is outstanding in a supporting role as she demonstrates she can really act besides just doing comedy. The entire ensemble cast is just terrific. The movie continues to build until it finally reaches its crescendo. If you have blood pumping thru your heart you should really enjoy this movie. This is Murray's showcase movie. Go see and enjoy!

I just came back from watching Fury. Brad Pitt is outstanding playing a determined Army Sergeant tank commander near the end of WW II. He leads his weary men into battle in April of 1945 as the Allies march thru Germany. Just like Saving Private Ryan you will literally sit on the edge of your seat nervously as you have a birds eye view of just how dehumanizing war really is. It's not for the feint of heart on that I can assure you. As I watched the movie unfold I could not help but think back to an old movie my father took me to as a boy back in 1955 starring real life war hero Audie Murphy in To Hell And Back. Audie was the most decorated soldier of all time. He survived the war but died in a plane crash at age 45. Brad Pitt's portrayal very much resembles Audie Murphy's. However, this movie is very tough to watch because it takes no prisoners showing the brutality on both sides with its kill or be killed mentality. Hard to take your eyes off the sliver screen.

Denzel Washington is brilliant as he is born to play this role. There is nothing not to like as the story develops nicely. The villain is expertly played similar to what James Bond 007 usually faced in his adventures. And Denzel improvises for his choice of weapons usually on the fly. He is always one step ahead of the bad guys. He's the type of vigilante we all wish we had in this world. Maybe he can pay a visit to ISIS? He can do what our President doesn't have the backbone to do! Basically as our fearful Commander In Chief hasn't learned as yet, you can't negotiate with bad guys that have no respect for human life, theirs or our own. This is Where I Leave You is not exactly a comedy nor a drama. Rather it's an accurate portrayal of a real life family coming together to sit shiver at the death of the patriarch {the father}. We are soon drawn in remembering that when we were young, our fervent hope was to have a royal storybook marriage like the lovers in the fictional Camelot. Despite our best intentions, life never turns out that way. Think JFK and Jackie? Secretly, we all know deep inside that our own childhood family was dysfunctional; but never realized most families are too. We just journey thru life meandering for answers that never seem to come. This film is absolutely outstanding as it reveals a real family warts and all. The ensemble cast are all fantastic, especially Jason Bateman {the central character} and Adam Driver.. The latter is the youngest of the siblings, the one in our family that never seems to grow up that we all envy. As the story unfolds, you can't help but see yourself. At times, it's painful to watch, but dead on accurate. The movie will stir your emotions as you can't help but think what if each of us had taken that other fork in the road? This film will not thrill critics as they live in their own snobbish world, however it will resonate with the movie going public. We all wish we could have "do overs" in life, but unfortunately, as we know all too well, there are none. As the film draws to conclusion you feel it's us that was sitting shiver on our own lives. Admitting life's mistakes and saying goodbye to our childhood family is never easy. Definitely worth going to see on the giant sliver screen.

Let me preface my review by telling you that the Broadway Musical Jersey Boys is one of my all time favorites. I have seen it a total of 12 times. Having said that I must report that it would be very tough to compare any movie to the actual Broadway show. Believe me I wanted to LOVE it. Unfortunately Director Clint Eastwood who I think the world of is absolutely clueless in directing this movie. Whereas the Broadway version captures the audience's attention in the first few minutes putting a smile on your face, the movie is dark, tedious, and very slow for the first hour or so. It just doesn't resonate with the viewer.. The second hour is somewhat better, but where the Broadway audience is taken on a joy ride, handing out standing ovations, while at the same time, crying with Frankie Valli on the death of his beloved daughter, this movie version just falls flat on its face. There is little or no character development. The fabulous songs of the Four Seasons are treated more or less like window dressing, nothing more. To be perfectly honest, the best part of the movie is when its over, the credits are rolling, and the cast is singing and dancing in the street. I would have loved to give Jersey Boys a perfect ten but it's impossible to do so. I recommend that when the touring company comes to your City, run don't walk, to see one of the best shows Broadway has ever produced. I'm sorry to say the movie does it no justice. Sorry.

This is a very tough movie to grade because of the acting of its stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt whom are both outstanding; perhaps Emily a tad more. Why? Because only she seems to know what is really going on? We meet Tom as Major Cage an advertising officer who is immediately reassigned to fight on the front lines the very next day although he has absolutely no training at all. Why? We have no idea. And from there the plot goes haywire. If you ever saw the great movie Ground Hog Day starring Bill Murray welcome back. For the next half hour without any suspense whatsoever Tom is killed by the funny looking aliens and immediately comes back to life. By the 3rd time you are literally bored out of your mind. About the 6th time when the coward Tom becomes the bored hero Emily enters the film for real and tells him he can't die and only he can save the world against these not so scary aliens. Why they have invaded Earth we have no idea. Well from there the movie is as predictable as you don't need me to tell you what is going to happen. Major Cage knowing he can't die goes from weakling coward to Rambo. Other than the two stars acting there is absolutely zero character development. Tom is actually falling in love with Emily but even that never bears any fruit for the viewer to see. Bottom line is the teenage boys who like continuous shoot em up action movies without any intelligence will love this. Anyone who does not check their brain in at the door will find no redeeming quality whatsoever in this very poor movie. I should have known when I went to the first screening last night at 8 PM. The theater held 300 seats and only 4 of us came to see it. You can choose to believe the bought and paid for critics or listen to real moviegoers in which most of us telling the truth will rate this about a 4. Save your money to wait for free TV. One last thing the 3D does absolutely nothing for this movie as its simply a gimmick. Avoid.

My adult son told me to see this as he thought it was hilarious. Just crude juvenile humor in a formula comedy. The acting was bland without any memorable performances. Not my cup of tea. Probably appeals more to today's young teens and young adults. Sorry but it was just dumb.

Nice unsexy story of overcoming all odds. The cast are all likeable but this by the number movie is OK but nothing more. I love sports and especially baseball so rooting for the underdog is very appealing. A nice way to pass the time on a rainy day but nothing more. Just okay.

I have seen every Godzilla movie since the original 60 years ago. To be perfectly honest those of you giving this movie a perfect 10 as in Gone With The Wind have completely lost your mind. This was as bad a movie as I have seen. It is downright disgraceful. CGI was good. The two MUTO's were laughable. Godzilla looked like a fat toad. He was on the screen for 12 minutes. The acting other than Brian Cranston and his wife was laughable. Brian had the good sense to be killed off in the first 30 minutes. The rest of the actors would have been laughed at in a High School production. The script was inept with more plot holes than Carter has little liver pills. The directing was abominable. I wouldn't watch this horrible movie again even when on FREE TV. How bad was this Godzilla? Enough so that it made the terrible NOAH worthy of a 10. Avoid at all costs.

I saw the movie opening night before a theater which was about 80% full. The slowly developing story pulls on your heartstrings as a the cutest 4 YO little boy survives a near death experience in the operating room. He then slowly starts to tell his father he was in heaven, had an out of body experience, and describes what he saw. What is lacking is a detailed account of that experience as there was so much more that could have been presented. It's certainly a feel good story that we all want to believe. The true life hero is now a teenager and was recently interviewed by Bill O'Reilly. Once again he spoke in a narrative summary without giving specific details as he was totally unconvincing. Still a nice movie.

Kevin Costner loves sports and that is obvious by the many sports movies he has selected in his career. This movie is just plain fun but totally by the numbers as it shows the gamesmanship in the War Rooms as General Manager's & Coaches livelihood is affected by the decisions they make. The players are just pieces of meat with a certain shelf life. The sad part is everyone gets paid except the diehard fans who have to suffer with bad decisions by management and the players whose only purpose is to be a free agent **** in Show Me The Money. The higher they're drafted the more money and security they get. I wish I could say there was some suspense in the movie but the truth is you know what Kevin Costner is going to do 15 minutes into the movie. Diehard football fans will enjoy this. Anyone else not into pro football don't waste your time. As for the ending it is preposterous as no number seven pick is ever worth what they traded it for. The only thing better would have been to see how the players drafted turned out. Unfortunately, the movie ends with draft. Just another propaganda piece for the NFL.

Let me preface my remarks by stating I am not one of those religious fanatics as I could care less. The public gets hosed again by the bought & paid for professional critics. This movie is so bad and boring, that you almost hope, the entire planet gets washed away. Somewhere PT Barnum is smiling as it's true a **** is born every minute. How can a professional critic with even an ounce of dignity not expose this film for the crap it truly is. Anthony Hopkins has about 4 minutes of screen time. He has to be embarrassed by his performance in this dreadful movie. Russell Crowe as Noah is mentally deranged. You don't care one iota about any of the characters. Rock Monsters built the arc? Where were the transformers? LOL And just when you thought the movie is mercifully over, it goes on and on and never ends. How ludicrous was this. It starts to rain. About a minute later the dam breaks from below ground and everyone is washed away. Why would the Creator, by the way, never mentioned as G-d, have it rain for one minute and then a minute later water is everywhere as if a broken water main. I wouldn't watch this movie again on free TV. Avoid at all costs.

Emma Thompson steals the show as she is absolutely brilliant. I would be shocked if she is not nominated for BEST ACTRESS come OSCAR time. Tom Hanks is fantastic as Walt Disney but even he knows he is playing a supporting role to Ms. Thompson. If you like movies with excellent dialogue in which you care about the characters then don't miss Saving Mr. Banks.

I wanted so much to like this movie as Ben Stiller is one of my favorite actors. Having said that this is one boring film that is going nowhere from ten minutes into the film. Danny Kaye makes this Mitty look very bad. I can't believe that no one stood up to Ben as he was directing to tell him how awful this flick is. Avoid at all costs.

I saw Captain Phillips in a packed theater during Sneak Preview week. Let me start by saying the movie is outstanding. But many of you are reporting this based on a true story? It depends on your definition of the truth? The NY Post has reported, that 11 of his crew sued the ship company. They blamed Captain Phillips for putting them in harms way and described him as aloof, not in touch with reality, and not a good Captain. So Hollywood gave us their spin which sounds much better just to sell tickets. If you can accept that the truth lies somewhere in between, then this is a very good film; albeit, truthful or fiction. The accolades this film has been receiving are richly deserved. Tom Hanks gives yet another outstanding performance. Even when Tom has nothing to say his acting chops are so brilliant, that his facial expression, says it all. Just about everyone sat on their edge of their seat as the tension during the hostage crisis is so thick, you can literally cut it with a knife. It's the last 15 minutes of this flick when Tom shows his best acting as he releases all the emotions the real Captain Phillips must have felt. Without question, Mr. Hanks will be nominated for another Oscar. This is a must see movie for 2013. Enjoy

Saw this flick last night. Have you all gone mad? Crass juvenile humor without any character development whatsoever, with a plot that would only appeal to teenagers. I love comedy and science fiction but this was just awful. Avoid at all costs.

If you don't take the movie seriously it is very enjoyable with some very funny clever one liners. Make sure to stay for the outtakes after the end. You can tell the ensemble cast had fun working on this flick.

A loud cliched ridiculous movie plagiarizing many other Sci Fi films including War Of The Worlds, Independence Day & Transformers. The actors are simply awful. No character development whatsoever. The CGI is so awful that you can't even tell who is fighting who. It is obvious that phantom critics are shilling for this movie which is a complete turkey as they have no other reviews. I saw this sorry excuse for a film opening night in front of a half empty theater. Avoid at all costs. Despite the heavy PR marketing my gut tells me this will be a bomb at the box office.

Are you people insane? If this is what you are willing to pay your hard earned money to see then why should anyone work at their craft. Possibly the most juvenile idiotic movie I have ever seen. Is this what Hollywood now calls entertainment. I have as good as sense of humor as the next person but this flick was awful. The people connected in making this should be ashamed.

I thought the movie was good. Robert Downy Jr was excellent. The plot line was a bit lame but what do you expect from a popcorn action movie when the hero knows all along he is not in any real danger. OK for a rainy Saturday afternoon.

I grew up a Brooklyn Dodger fan. I saw Jackie Robinson play but had no idea about the trials and tribulations being the first black man in baseball. I just loved him as a ballplayer. I guess growing up in NYC, the melting pot of the world, we really didn't know about racism. As time went by I did come to understand the great sacrifices he made and the greatness of the man. He is so deserving of his number being retired. If memory serves me correctly Leo Durocher was suspended for being associated with known gamblers, not women? It was Gene Hermanski, not Pee Wee Reese, whom said all the Dodgers should wear number 42. And as inconceivable as it seems, it was Branch Rickey who said you should trade a ballplayer a year too soon rather than a year too late. He traded Jackie to the hated NY Giants in 1956 8 years after he broke the color barrier in 1948. And Jackie hated the NY Giants so much he retired rather than ever wear any other uniform but for his beloved Brooklyn Dodgers. Jackie then went to work for Chock Full Of Nuts Coffee and became an executive. His widow Rachel is one of the classiest ladies ever! I just wished they had delved more into Jackie & Rachel as people as I so admire both of them.
