The film is a bravura depiction of the harsh brutalities of war that, though monotonous, is an entirely rousing entry in the annals of great WWII cinema.

Pitt is tremendous in the role, a conscience detectable even in Wardaddy's blinkered gaze. But it's Lerman who anchors the film with a shattering, unforgettable portrayal of corrupted innocence. Fury means to grab us hard from the first scene and never let go. Mission accomplished.

Within this gore-spattered, superficially nihilistic carapace is an old-fashioned platoon picture, a sensitive and superbly acted tale of male bonding under duress.

Brad Pitt pulls along this gutsy, old-fashioned World War II epic by the sheer brute force of his charisma.

Fury is one of those war movies that does a really good job showing how ugly and exhausting war actually is. It’s not trying to be heroic or glamorous most of the time. Instead, it focuses on a small group of soldiers who are physically and mentally worn down, and that gives the movie a much grittier feeling than a lot of war films.What I liked most was the atmosphere. The muddy battlefields, damaged tanks, and constant sense of danger make the world feel believable. You can almost feel how tired the characters are. The tank combat is also one of the film’s biggest strengths. It feels heavy and tense, and every engagement has weight behind it instead of feeling like a typical action **** cast does a solid job as well. Brad Pitt's performance helps hold the group together, but the dynamic between the crew members is what really makes the movie work. They don't always get along, they make mistakes, and they feel like people who have been through far too much.That said, I think the movie is strongest in its smaller moments rather than its biggest ones. The quieter scenes where the characters interact often left more of an impression on me than some of the larger battles. The film occasionally leans a little too hard into drama, but it never completely loses its grip.Overall, Fury is a strong war movie with great atmosphere, solid performances, and some memorable combat scenes. It may not be one of my all-time favorites in the genre, but it's definitely worth watching. A solid 6/10 for me.

War is ugly, dirty and pure chaos. Fury does a good job in telling that story. The bonds the tankcrew has is interesting and well told. Effects are good and the whole setting feels real. But especially Pitts character is very one dimensional, and the final showdown is just plain stupid. The german troops behaves like stormtroopers in SW. Also I think they could have gotten more out of the tanks. See Dunkirk if you want a 2WW movie that is good.

The movie has good production value and it can be quite entertaining if you know nothing about WW2. It's a ridiculous movie. In the tank battle the Tiger is all alone. Tigers always had infantry support and were accompanied by other tigers. Second, Tiger crews were highly trained and did not simply charge across fields into multiple enemy tanks. The crews took advantage of the Tiger's superior range and tried to position their tanks where they had a tactical advantage, ideally involving partial cover. The final battle is simply ludicrous. SS units were highly trained and always had scouts ahead. They used flanking maneuvers and panzerschrecks to destroy tanks by firing at their weak points. SS troops did not simply charge into tanks getting mowed by machine gun fire. I just couldn't get into it because of how much creative liberty was taken. It's more of a WW2 fantasy film than anything else.

Quite a lame movie, bad story line, unrealistic shootouts, to drawn out, bad script. Was interesting in that it was the first such movie I'd seen with tanks from that angle.
