if you saw this movie, having never seen a star wars movie, be realistic, As a stand alone SCI FI movie, would it rate two stars? Theres no depth of character in my opinion, the connection between the original movies and this movie has been lost.

Saw it with less than 20 others in theatre, the humour is not that funny, sure there are a couple of laughs here and there, but hilarious...absolutely no, maybe its a crowd thing. It is entertaining with a small cast and a lot of extras to fill up the body bags from some good action. Will there be an Deadpool 2, I think so, it hits a few good points for a more grown up superhero type of movie. But don't let the kids see it, it needs a bit of chopping up to get to a PG.

Got the DVD and watched the movie, keeps your attention and well made, but what I liked most was watching the movie extra with the commentary of tom cruise and the director as they go through and explain about different scenes and actors they used, great stuff.

For me the purpose of a movie is to entertain me for two hours more or less, and I think it did that. The time travel twist allows the movie to be re-invented. I didn't like sarah connor, she was not as gutsy as linda Hamilton. I didn't like turning john connor the leader of the resistence into a skynet puppet idea, presumably now that his parents know the future they will keep him away from guns and enrol him in ballet classes. Who sent the terminator back to when sarah was a kid, I still don't know maybe next movie, how many time travel devices are there? The CGI for terminators coming through fire still looks like computer graphics to me. Skynet is not destroyed just delayed even though lots of buildings went down, doctor who has an ironic bit part, maybe in the future skynet is a time **** something. Now that I have seen this movie I would not buy it on dvd it seems to lack middle ground actors, its all about the main four stars.

This movie is too long. I would have cut out a half an hour of action and saved it for the special edition blu ray, unless they already have done that. Even though CGI is pretty good it still looks unrealistic, yeh that's cgi that whole city going up, yep all the avengers fighting that's all computer stuff. Some of it is just over the top, if the whole earth went to work to build a flying city they would take ten years just to plan it. Yes this is all fantasy stuff, but we like to see some semblance of reality that's why I remember the house in the country scene more than most of the other stuff. Ultron didn't impress me for some reason as a super robot that is, and the guy he was building, ultra ultron was well, what was he? I thought ultrons face movements when speaking looked too much like plastic moving. Ultron wants to destroy mankind, why? we do enough of that already why not change us into a race of robots, I thought the premise was lame. If I was hulk I would have taken Natasha with me and kept the plane. I think this movie was too much like too much chocolate, it tastes good at the start then just gets sickly sweet, should have made two movies out of it.

This is one of those movies that will keep you entertained for two hours but u will quickly forget, unless your doing a movie review of it...like here. I found the lead girl dull, even the badguy and two leading ladies dull, and the story...dull. But in all the dullness the few fight scenes and matrix like special effects were okay. Is movie about her guilt over her mom, who cares. If you have armoured cars and your chasing someone who jumps on a train you can't figure out where their going or how to catch them? U can shoot people with suicide spiders but cant track them down? Whats in the box, turn aside now, theres people outside the wall, I couldn't figure that out, are the people inside the wall like the maze the good people or bad people or what? What are the people outside the wall? Maybe they all evolved over 200 years into?

There must be a record for the number of cars smashed up in this movie. Lame plot and well, did I mention the cars. Plot twist that doesn't go anywhere except suddenly the movie is over.

Okay I enjoyed this movie, the actors did a good job in their assigned roles and the special effects were great, BUT if aliens started shooting up a city on earth there is no way aliens could cover it up, be real it would be on every news channel worldwide so writers you stuffed up on that point. ALso why would aliens 90,000 years ahead of us breed humans for the elixir of life, rubbish they would make it in a testtube. AND this supergalactic empire then turns to a hitchhikers guide segment about red tape ****. The subplot with his best mate was a wasted space he should have been commanding the starship not living on a bee farm. But I liked the small amount of tension between the leads however she is supposed to be a queen wheres her battle fleet, what she queen of a territory and no army, no sense but if you put aside logic and just have action and CGI then its pretty good.

Missed it at the cinema, so saw it on DVD today. I generally liked this movie, I like mazes. it kept me intrigued right till the end but i'm a little less wiser as to what these kids are? clones? DNA modified humans? its all a big test? hope there is a movie number two.

makes all the other supermans look average, plenty of action and destroying stuff. Like the spaceships but found the bit parts for supermans dad and daily planet chief to be boring and out of place.

The first 50 minutes of this movie was boring, I could have missed it, I kept waiting for the movie to start, then when it started it limped. Ocean planet cool, Frozen planet cool, then we get the black hole time vortex stuff and then that's it. They spend an hour boring you at the start and then the end its: oh your daughter is about to die but we built this superspaceship thing, then cut to lonely girl on planet and you don't even see him land in his ship. What were Caines last words I couldn't even hear some of the jibberish above the music. Sorry guys this movie ****.

I didn't see this movie till it came on tv in 2014, I am so glad I didn't waste a dollar on it. it was so boring till he fell over board and was trapped on a lifeboat and then it just seemed to be even more boring, I turned it off.

yep, action, humour, sci fi, battles, strange alien worlds etc, a little soapy around the edges but well worth seeing, compared to lucy which I saw yesterday it was a big step up.

this movie is all over the place, I didn't like freeman as a professor I thought he overshadowed the star and yet had only a minor role, the mating animals and copy paste start was pathetic, I didn't like the boyfriend scene and the yakuza were over the top, there were shades of matrix gun battles, who seriously goes to that sort of trouble for four packets of drugs, honestly. the police car chase...what was the point of that? the cop.... was she going to pass on the genetic super gene or something, what was the point? she builds a supercomputer and leaves him with a USB stick, which about sums up this movie.

Saw it on TV, why I didn't go to the movies was I saw the original, this is not like the original. Arnold in the original gives the whole movie a different quality and movie A was a sci fi whereas movie B, this one, is more future tech. They could have easily dropped some elements and called this movie memory war or something. Action was good but not overly believable and some aspects of the future like going through the centre of the earth and the rest of the world being uninhabitable were far fetched, if the rest of the world was poisoned I would like to have seen mutants. Anyway not great but I watched it with interest, so when a movie keeps your attention its pretty good.

movie was on TV the other night. I can't say I enjoyed this movie and the reason is the green lantern corp has too many chicken headed aliens and the scientist on earth deformed into some elephant man. But I would like to see a more intelligent version.

I enjoyed this movie. This was a bit like the Matrix war on the surface with a bit of Groundhog day as a sci fi? the idea anyway. Some of the cgi was amateur and the part where the general gives a speech to the UN looked like his head had been pasted on a new body. I prefer my aliens who are thousands of years ahead of mankind to at least be able to talk instead of yawn with lots of teeth. The scientist who knows how to defeat the aliens works in a basement, you know during the real wars every daft and stupid idea was exploited by the **** and the west. And the Generals response was ridiculous when confronted with the truth. Why didn't Tom at the start get the team of soldiers to forge a path of destruction across..nevermind. I enjoyed this movie and Tom Cruise makes a movie otherwise I would have given this a five or six at best.

Could mythbusters tell me if its possible to build a plastic gun in 1973 let alone giant robots with harrier jump engines in their chests? A short guy as a scientist, all the bad scientist are ex **** germans. The future Sentinels were too strong, I liked the TV version better. The best mutant was the 'flash' yet he was dumped? Awesome scene with Magneto but that was about it for awesome, the future attack was too confusing. I enjoyed this movie to the point where my brain was detached from all sense of reality but after that I didn't like it.

boring, boring, wait for something to happen, would have liked to see a twist in the end like the anti virus killed mankind but nothing. dull. Good actors wasted on poor characters.

a little empty but moves along, you would think the avengers could have knocked out three flying warships than leaving it all to captain America, were they all on holidays? Buckey was the most interesting character. Robert redford as a bad guy, hmm, don't work for me, put him in a cloak with a red light saber and it still wouldn't work.

6 crappy stories chopped up, wasted 15 bucks on the DVD, I would not buy this DVD for $1, if there was time in my life I wish I could get back it would be watching this load of garbage. The actors were wasted and uninspiring, the dialogue was drivel. I had my finger on the fast forward for most of the movie it was that bad. I thought less of these actors after seeing the movie, I can only guess they all needed something to do on their weekends or needed to buy a new car or two.

Great eye candy. Lots of explosiony dusty dark stuff. bit of a story line. very little yukky romance, the side kick to thors girlfriend was good light relief humor. Lots of destruction, I like the destruction bits. You just like loki more and more. Great spaceship design. Now the bad: if the dark stuff is imprisoned in the core of some planet how can thors girlfriend accidently get to it, that's just stretching it too far, poor writing. And give me a break, a scientist on earth has some techno sticks that will stop the alignment of planets. Theres some good ideas and effects let down by logic gaps.

had my attention for the whole movie, so i was entertained so i got value for money. i'm excited because it leaves the door open to find the planet furia, so Vin get to WORK i want to see the next one. Really this type of movie is Sci fi meets alien monsters kill everybody and still be a hero, it aint no great grasby crap.

i got this on DVD last week, i didn't go to see the movie cause it just didn't appeal. So this was enjoyable to a point my favorite part was the banter between the hobbit and baggins in the cave. But i must say i was a little let down i suppose orks and dwarves and dragons are not my cup of tea, the underground scene with the big fat ogre king was a bit ridiculous. I don't think i'll see the future movies at the cinema but on DVD its a must have for kids to kill time.

Matt gives us a human if flawed hero while foster may have been the badguy but lacked weight and screen time, you would expect a verbal confrontation between the two but it never comes. pity. I like the district 9 style but elysium itself felt like it was just a bunch of estates with no people. The south african bad guy was too two dimensional, he takes the woman and daughter, why, suddenly their all on a ship bound for space, what a stretch. Are they trying to say we who live in the west are elysium keeping out the masses who live in the poor 3rd world, i feel bad, no i don't. A lot of people would rate this sci fi pretty good but i'm afraid when you break it down it falls down.

i was going to go see it till a reviewer on tv said there was 190 F words. If you need swearing to provoke a laugh in my opinion your not funny, your just crude and vulgar. Probably not as bad as hall pass which we walked out on. Don't waste your money on the DVD, might be okay edited on TV.

I was one of only three people in the whole theatre for the 10am weekday time 2D version, i like it like that. Movie is let down by having a mutant in a major role, why not a few mutants. And please, nobody can fight with knives on top of a 300klh train, if they were mutants yes, yakuza no. Romance is kept under control to suggestive level which i like. I didn't like the overall story but elements of it appealed along with the action to keep me entertained.

These are the sort of movies that make me wish i lived in a cave and only used the word 'ugh'. I just can't believe someone actually pays to make them or pays to go and watch them.

Here's my review: i am not going to see this even if it comes out on a $2 DVD sale at BigW. It reminds me of the movie Australia, overlong, boring and self indulgent, it assumes its own importance will draw me in. I haven't seen Australia either.

i love iron man movies, but i feel they take these super movies and try to really go over the top with special effects trying to outdo the last one. There is no way in reality for a man to jump and a suit join to him, see it's nonsense, that's what spoils it. I think they could have made a better movie if it would have been a more simple one but smart.

What i really dig about star trek are time travel alternative timelines, i thought a better actor could have played khan since the original actor was spanish and this guy looks pommy. I would have liked to have seen it in 3D because space and planets look great in 3d on the big screen, but i didn't cause sometimes the novelty of 3d detracts for me. As a star trek movie it sits up there but not a top effort.

what really cheesed me off about this movie was the big bird. I liked some of the spaceship designs and felt the story of the encounter with aliens could have been more played out, probably make a good movie in itself. The main star was wasted, just wasted, if your going to see this movie for him then don't bother he may as well not be in it.

Give me a break, pitt survives a plane crash. The family in this movie made it tedious. Putting another star in a cage and giving him jibberish to talk at supposedly a south Korean base was complete waste. Why did the guy in the plane take off from Jerusalem? Who created the virus?, still don't know. Why put scenes of mass zombies at the end of the movie whats the point they would have been better at the start. a pointless waste of talent.
