Green Lantern

So what we have is a movie that will make at least two important groups happy. New Orleans boosters can cheer Green Lantern for its local roots and for the possibility that the inevitable future installments could return to town. And the purists can cheer, knowing that Campbell and crew have done Green Lantern justice.

More science-fiction space opera than superhero epic, it works in fits and starts as its disparate parts go in and out of effectiveness, but the professionalism of the production make it watchable in a comic book kind of way.

It's neither amusing nor exciting enough to ensure a long-running franchise.

The result is a deadly disappointment, despite Ryan Reynolds's cocky, muscle-flexing charisma as the daredevil test pilot turned intergalactic peacekeeper and Peter Sargaard's movie-stealing turn as a nerdy scientist turned psycho monster.

For a movie that touts the importance of humanity, Green Lantern is a strangely lifeless spectacle.

Can we please get over the notion that every superhero in a skintight suit deserves a movie? Green Lantern is the latest wallet drainer emptying the comic book bench, more thudding than "Thor" and sorely incoherent.

Even by the standards of the current run of mediocre comic-book movies, this one stands out for its egregious shoddiness.

With the first ever live action adaptation of the Green Lantern, this movie introduces us to a lot of comic characters such as Abin Sur, Sinestro, Tomar-re, and Kilowog. These iconic Green Lantern adaptations were done well through animation, however, the adaptation of their powers and suits was not as good. Sadly, this led to many fans losing interest in the movie. There is a lack of a final fight and ultimately leaves fans feeling the need for more scenes depicting their powers and skills.

Watched it a couple of times. It had some fun moments, but Green Lantern Origns the comic is way better.

Green Lantern, the movie's got a very boring plot, bad acting, terrible pacing, some forced and cheesy dialogue and some mediocre action sequences. Also, Dr. Hector Hammond has got a massive forehead throughout this movie. Overall, it's not a great superhero movie. It's got a boring plot, terrible pacing, bad acting and some forced and cheesy dialogue throughout.

Overall, Green Lantern was forgettable. I just finished watching and I can hardly remember it the film. The shallow story, weak acting, lack of action, and terrible CGI make this film seem longer than it actually is.
