For those looking for non-stop action, pretty dazzling special effects and solid acting by the young protagonists, Insurgent will not disappoint.

It’s a sequel that sticks to more routine territory of action, angst, and dystopian gloom — mostly a sound approach, thanks to the consistent strength of franchise lead Shailene Woodley and a mix of intended and inadvertent surprises.

I can only say that I loved watching this movie, along with my family, and it caught our attention. Thanks to the production team, for all the moments of pleasure created.
In short, against critics, I and my family have been excited about this movie!

Better than expected. Did not expect to be entertained judging from low review scores. Movie started slow, but soon found myself deeply **** into the development of the story. Especially when the action starts, I was captivated by the awesome background music (reminds me of Mass Effect) and the sci-fi CGI (like Matrix). It really made me want to find out what will happen to the main cast the next minute. Main cast is pleasing to the eyes. Nice story. Everything just flows so smoothly. Am looking forward to the 3rd installment in this series. :)

There’s no question that the feature is a leaner, meaner affair than its predecessor. That’s not enough, though, to counterbalance the often oppressive self-seriousness (though Miles Teller gives it a welcome shot) or to plaster over the holes in the premise.

Unfortunately, Insurgent can’t quite live up to its intriguing set up. Even if you’re curious about it, the movie is often plodding and frequently nonsensical, with action that never feels novel or exciting.

Insurgent is not a very good movie, but it’s better than it needs to be.

If you think you've seen this movie, you have. Once it had a male protagonist and was called "Harry Potter." Then it starred Jennifer Lawrence and was called "The Hunger Games." Now it stars Shailene Woodley and goes by "The Divergent Series." Same thing, only worse.

There is such a thing as an infinitely bad movie, and this is it.

Fugitives on the run now with really no factions in place any more. The movie was kind of boring but had a decent ending.

A talented cast and a cool mix of somehow thrilling stunts fail in the attempt of saving this unremarkable and truly unsatisfying cinematic adaptation from Veronica Roth's novel.

A real waste of time and/or money! The acting was good, but the whole movie was structured so poorly that even the acting had a difficult time to show through. It is totally confusing, boring, doesn't flow well, can't begin to tell the good guys from the bad (although I think that is the point, but it was so bad you just aren't sure) and worst of all for me, some of the scenes where they use the movie's version of "technology" started me into epileptic seizures so I had to put my hands over my eye's once I caught on to the problem. The book(s) were so much better (usually they are), they had great plot lines you could follow, far more emotional stuff that was part of the whole, way too many changes completely from the books. I've seen good books turn into not great movies, but this is barely recognizable to the book. People change, their actions change, they leave out 80% of the book and replace another 30% with something completely different. I would have walked out on the movie even if I hadn't read the books. Having read the books (which were good) made me wonder if they weren't trying to rewrite the books.
