They put the OVERWORLD MUSIC BEHIND A $40 PAYWALL. A basic function of any nintendo game which is the music has to be unlocked. So I'll judge this game for the price that it really costs: $70 + $40 = $110 dollars. I was having fun with the game, considering a positive review, admiring the environment and overall immersiveness. When I noticed a basic feature was locked behind a paywall I just couldn't continue. $110 dollars is just ludicrous for a game that you can complete in less than 15 hours and that you can 100% in less than 20 hours. You're paying the price of two AAA games roughly for this short game that has very low replayability since it's mostly on-rails. Graphics are decent and art design is very beautiful, but it honestly looks like a 10 year old game, RDR2 looked at least a generation better than this. I still can't understand where the budget went, for a AAA game it has very little voice acting, dated graphics that just get carried by artistic design, stiff controls and a very dated checkpoint system. Is basically a game that should and could have come out in the WiiU for $60, not a premium $110 game in 2025. The formula is very reminiscent of BOTW, so it could very well have been released as a WiiU game, just with the caveat that both BOTW and TOTK have at least triple the content of this Metroid thing. To sum it up: This game is fun and it has beautiful artistic design, but it's a short mostly linear game with zero replay value. It's already grossly overpriced at $70, but it really costs $110 (since you need to pay to unlock the soundtrack of the game) which makes it one of the most overpriced and greedy games we've seen by a relevant studio. This is probably one of the most outrageous anti-consummer moves I've seen nintendo make.

This game is inexcussably bad. The graphics, world, physics, everything is like a bad PS2 game, but without voice acting The story is boring, bad, the environment is just one area which has less depth than N64 collect-a-thon games, yep, the first games made for 3D consoles in 1996 had worlds better built and designed than this. The battle system is the only thing where it could have interesting gameplay. But it doesn't work. You can catch everything with just one strong pokemon since they can be caught after fainting. There's no strategy, the missions are terrible, there's no variety. I've played a lot of pokemon games, not every single one, but even gameboy games had better story and more engaging gameplay. If you like Pokemon play ANYTHING ELSE before this. Any mainline pokemon game is better. Any monster catching game will be better than this.

It's a small game and very inexpensive so it's not that long. It has a unique charm to it and you can spend a couple of hourse wandering around and finding new stuff to do. The gameplay is well thought and the courses are very good. It introduces great new mechanics, the graphics and animations are top notch. However, the content is very lackluster for the price. The open world feels more empty than Forza and that's saying something, the online mode is just bad. The addition of inter-race tracks is maybe a fun novelty for a while but the competitive crowd want's nothing to do with it. I have to substract a point for the price, this game is grossly overpriced for what it is now. I expect them to add content later for free, after all we've played for a day one DLC pack already within the asking price. Dissappointing after more than 10 years waiting for a Mario Kart title.

The story is also interesting, it has some cliché elements but I didn't want to skip it. And it's meant to overwhelm you at first, the combat is hard to master with some soulslike moments, but it's ultimately score based like Bayonetta. An amazing action RPG. The story is engaging, it has interesting mechanics for map development, the battle is a little basic for 2016 but it's true to the Ys formula so it's more or less ok. Maybe a downside is the difficulty, it's was relatively easy for me and I played my first run on Hard. Most of the time it takes to complete is traversal and sometimes feels like padding, however all this sections are actually important for you to master the game, understand the abilities and get good. Bosses will not be very challenging if you've played soulslike stuff, the patterns are much easier to understand and much more telegraphed. And your character moves very quick and nimble, so it acts more like a 3D platformer than a 3D action combat game in this regard.

Great arcade racing game - Horizon but actually Fun Good graphics, not great since you can't go past 60 fps but you can work with that. The environments looks stunning, the visual design and effects are very immersive. The gameplay is very fun, versatile with 4 types of vehicles but focusing on cars with rally, drift, drag, supercars and street racing. The physics are obviously arcade but comparable to Forza 5 with the addition of Nitro, still feels more realistic than NFS. There's a lot of content for single player and a good playerbase for multiplayer. If you come from the big desserted barren wastelands of Forza Horizon 4 or 5, the Hawaii island of Motorsport will feel like a cornucopia. The island itself is not that big in real life, so it feels like a realistic racing theme park that uses a lot of the islands' surface, making it a lot more coherent. You never have that feeling of a long travel that will be a chore just to get to the next race, because in the way there's a lot to see and do, and the playlists are somewhat connected so you don't have to traverse an empty map for hours to complete a mission. A downside is the car quantity, it's limited compared to GT or Forza. Not many brands and just a few cars per brand. In 2024 is my go to racing game after the Motorsport failiure and now that Horizon 5 playerbase is getting too low. I also recommend it over NFS Unbound since it has a higher player base and you get a lot more content than just street racing, although NFS has the unique elemnt of police chases (which gets old fast).

For me this game was a solid 9 on the original system, but this port comes up like a wasted opportunity to get it perfect and just as a "good enough" attempt at a port. It feels emulated at times, not really ported, also they didn't go any extra mile to make it at least a little bit more compelling. Great music, quirky, very original concept still to this day, relaxing, unique, but feels like they just wanted to sell an emulated 'port' instead of really doing an effort to revive the Katamari experience. I still give it a very high score becasue I hope this sells well enough, so Bandai Namco wants to make a new sequel (and soundtrack!) for this great IP.

That means, the music, story, graphics, gameplay, artwork, design, everything is flawless. The development started more ambitious than FF7 and FF8 themselves, it was way more complex in story, gameplay and systems but it had to be rushed giving it a more abrupt second half (that should have been way longer). I hope this gets a proper remake somewhere in the future, where the original story gets realized and so the ending half is de-compressed to a comprehensible level.

By no means I'm an expert to fighting games but I usually finish all the story modes and play casually in the couch with friends. It must have been more than 10 years since I had this amount of fun with a fighting game, and all because of the masterpiece level character creation tool. By no means the core gameplay is boring, it's very good in fact with but lacks some of the satisfying sensation of the earlier entries, somehow I feel not as good when my hits connect. I'm not impressed nor dissatisfied by the mechanics, as I'm not a competitive player I can't really evaluate that aspects. As you may have gotten used to more flashy games such as Arc Systems', SC VI may feel a little bit plain, but try it regardless. I get that high res 2D hand made sprites are appealing but that would make it impossible for the best feature ever implemented on a fighting game to exist in the first play so I'm ok with the slighly less beautiful art-style. I lack the verbal prowess to convey the stupendous, prodigious, mind-blogging, formidable, inordinate, nipple-erecting, experience that is creating whatever abomination you decide on the character creation screen and then fighting against hordes of crossover human made fighters online. There has never been such a functional yet creatively resourceful custom character tool on a fighting game, and I dare to say that even having not tried all of them, that's the commitment of my appreciation for this addition to the game. If there's any developers, producers or designers of fighting games reading this, please know that THE CHARACTER CREATION TOOL IS NOW A GOD DAMN STANDARD AND YOU BETTER GET USED TO ADDING IT TO YOUR FUTURE GAMES AS OUR SPECIES DESERVES AND WILL ACCEPT NO LESS FROM NOW ON. DISREGARD OF THAT SENTIMENT WILL BE INTERPRETED AS A SIGN OF PURE DISRESPECT AND HATRED TOWARDS YOUR AUDIENCE AND SHALL BE SCORED ACCORDINGLY, NO EXCEPTION. That's it.

However we play Bethesda games not for the graphics or stability but because of the compelling characters and story. Well, this game doesn't have characters or a story, so it's basically a Fallout game without any of the features that made Fallout a good game. A lazy cashgrab built upon a dated engine that required no creativity and introduces nothing remarkable to the already saturated survival MMO genre.
