Everspace is one of the best space combat games on the market today. It's fun, beautiful, and a blast to play.

Everspace looks charming, but after 2-3 hours even these beautiful space vistas and intense dogfights will tire you out. Problem is, the whole game is just it: you kill AI enemies and collect their loot.

This might be the prettiest space shooter I’ve ever seen, but it suffers from little variety of enemies. [08/2017, p.60]

A great roguelike 3D space combat game. Probably the first of it's kind,
I spent a lot of hours into this, every run is challenging and getting to the end feels like a real accomplishment where you get good and your skills are rewarded. It has some design flaws like the repetitive nature of some stuff, the randomness that sometimes feels unfair.

"Made by the legendary developers behind Galaxy on Fire? This is my first time playing one of their games, and I’m really into **** you’re into sci-fi space 'wallpaper generators' that blend shooting, resource gathering, and roguelite elements with a simple system, this game is right up your alley.

Although this is a beautiful looking space shooter it suffers from a number of problems. Limited weapons - it seems totally the game has only 3-4 primary and similar number of secondary weapons. Way too much grind. You need like 5-6 good runs in order to upgrade any item. This is because each upgrade actually translates to 4 "upgrades" before it actually counts. Limited ships - only 4 ships to choose from. And they're all bad (except the default one you're given). It's difficult to aim with the enemies moving so much but somehow they're able to aim even when you're strafing randomly changing directions. Gameplay is very repetitive. Go somewhere. Search for fuel. Shoot 2-4 enemies (who're all shooting at you unprovoked). Shoot a stone (mine). Shoot around a destroyed vehicle (looting). Shoot a floating tech debris (tech loot). Pickup loot after killing an enemy, you have to almost touch the loot to pick it up which feels very annoying.

Rockfish’s take on the space shooter is certainly different, and it’s a refreshing change for the genre. It’s not about exploring the vastness of space in an open world (though jumping into the unknown is certainly still a factor), it’s quite simply an arcade shooter. It’s also a great looking game with an easy to grasp flight model and a mystery waiting to be uncovered. If you enjoy action space sims or rogue-like games such as FTL then you’ll enjoy this. Even if you don’t, there’s a high chance you’ll still enjoy this. Everspace is a cracking game.

Объективно - 7/10, ибо рогалик. Однако стоит отметить великолепную динамику и проработку концепта, так что не жалко поставить высший балл непопулярной дабл эй игре

One of the best space action games I've played to date. Great gameplay and mechanics. Played through again and again.

From my perspective roguelike is a rather frustrating genre. I find it annoying to lose my progress all the time and don’t get much from the randomness of the procedural generated worlds in most of these games. However, because of my fondness for space shooters, I gave Everspace a chance – and to my surprise, it convinced me.

Everspace is a massive space shooter with roguelike mechanics and permadeath. It perfectly balances fighting, exploration and crafting, giving an extremely fun and satisfying experience. Every run is different from the previous one and you can discover something new every time, weird ways to die included.

Everspace is a refreshing take on the roguelike genre from the creators of Galaxy On Fire. Set up in outer space, players will have to scavenge for resources and fight their way through procedurally-generated scenarios.

Once you get the upgrades rolling and start getting farther with each new attempt, boredom gradually sets it as you realize: story-centric spacesims are better. They have a clear endgoal and missions that give a sense of accomplishment. Sure, Everspace does have a (barebones) story, sometimes you even get a sidemission, but its main motivation – get to the last sector just because – does not motivate enough. [Issue#221, p.88]

Beauty only is not enough. Everspace delivers a beautiful universe to explore, along with a well written story, but almost everything else in the game is empty and repetitive.

Amazing Game!!! A new breed of space game, I was sure since the first time when I met this game but after around 40 hours spent playing my jaw is broken. Revolutionary gameplay is so useful, enjoyable and what is mostly astonishing, how they arranged movement and fight in this 3D space environment. I know... there are no sounds in vacuum and spacecraft should be subjected to a force of inertia... but this what gives us an unforgettable experience is reasonable compromise between the laws of physics and usable model of flying and fighting. Graphics - I have no words to tell about graphics you just have to see this, feel this... For praise deserves balanced level of difficulty and also we have a vast influence on our performance. There are various opponents which require many particular tactics and weapons - sometimes you can have the heaviest weapon but for example it's weak for shields, therefore if you have no resources to produce "anti-shield missile" you are in trouble. You can always find the other way - one time I didn't have a proper gun to hit small and quick-moving drones which were loading a shield of "Okkarian Corvette", I will not forget my joy when I found solution - I produced the "dron takeover module" then they started to load my own shield. From that moment it was far less hard, to change hostile ship into **** :) I loved this game from first moment but I can't wait for continuation and development - there is a short story line and only three available spacecrafts. At greater length of time spent in enjoying the space adventure would do well more content, I mean: more type of ships both for player and for opponents and more different "things in space" because they may become repetitive. I hope for a massive DLC with new ships, guns, missiles, modules, appliances, sectors, opponents, amazing landscapes, cooperating in group of ships and of course development of storyline, or maybe something like EVERSPACE 2? :D At the end I want to congratulate to the authors from ROCKFISH GAMES, thank you for this divine game - it's the best which I ever played, good luck and see you in space!

No esta tan mal, es bastante bueno pero tampoco es que destaque en nada. Lo que hace lo hace bien pero no llega a sobresalir en ningún apartado

I liked EVERSPACE, it has good graphics despite, not so fast on my PC. I liked the exploration at any stage, flight coud be tho sometimes and combat mechanics didn't feel perfect or smooth but fun afterall , the devices and weapons are just great... but there are couple of things in it which I really don't like. 1. The permanent upgrades you get after each death. I would MUCH prefer a system which would allow me to upgrade my ship as I go along, during a single run so that I have to improve to face the final boss over time, rather than one which makes the game progressively easier every time I play it, so that, in the end I more or less make it by default. Yes, I could up the difficulty, but that's not the same, because it's not about making the game harder, it's about the sense of accomplishment which the current system removes. I'd like to start off being bad at the game at one difficulty level and then master it, feel I have improved and then, possibly, up the difficulty level and try to master that. Rather than being a reward, I feel that every upgrade I apply robs me of more and more of that sense of achievement I might have had when finally winning the game. 2. The inventory [and now I discover weapon selection shortcuts] pause the game. I can't count the number of times this has saved my life, I get to consider the situation, manufacture and use consumables, all in my own time, no pressure, no stress, easy! But I still don't like it. It breaks immersion, lessens the impact of the action and generally slows things down. I'd much prefer a set of effective keyboard shortcuts which allowed me to use ships systems, devices, weapons etc more effectively in real time than anything that paused the game. I could always retreat to a safe space to manufacture components if required. afterall is a good game and worth the shot at least a try before to buy it.
