What strikes one more than anything in Towers is the material's dreamlike quality.

Moviegoers should be almost as entranced by the teeming, glorious landscapes and dark, bloody battlegrounds of Two Towers: astonishing midpoint of an epic movie fantasy journey for the ages.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The battle for Middle-earth draws near. "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is an epic film that immerses you in the fantastical world of Middle-earth. It perfectly captures the atmosphere of the struggle between good and evil, while maintaining the scale and depth of the first film. The special effects and battles are impressive, and the characters are vividly and multifacetedly developed. The film keeps you on the edge of your seat and evokes feelings of adventure, loyalty, and heroism. A true masterpiece of cinematography that never lets up!

Towers, while not quite so varied as Fellowship in its moods and settings, has a grave gusto that energizes every moment...a thrilling work of film craft.
90
Has a sharper narrative focus and a livelier sense of forward movement than did the more episodic "Fellowship."
75
An outstanding effort that maintains the integrity and purpose that distinguished "The Fellowship of the Ring."

Spectacular in every sense of the word, even if you don' t know an Orc from a Uruk-Hai.
60
This second installment is heavy on battle sequences, which will thrill some viewers more than others.

This movie is the pure definition of the "absolute cinema" meme. In fact all three movies are. I can't stop watching this trilogy.

I am not the biggest Lord of the Rings fan, so I don't go crazy over these movies. This one really bored me and just seemed like the unnecessary middle chapter, it does have great acting, set pieces, visuals, costumes, and battles. But those things can only rise this movie so far...

Benim jenerasyonuma hitap etmiyor pek diye düşünüyorum. Ortalama bir yapım benim için.

The Two Towers stifles its potentially memorable moments for low-brow humor, and overstays its welcome by over an hour, despite not boasting a single developed character.
