Zombies, here we go again. Days Gone is a game of adventure for the most part, and while the narrative can seem faint in depth, it is still an enjoyable experience. Deacon St. John is a well presented character in this world. A ruff necked biker with a die hard intent on finding that lost love. In all though, to really put this game into its own, you have to turn attention to its world. The forested dirt tracks and run down highways are a crisp real life setting. The feeling of a spaced environment with nooks and crannies, builds on the exploration and mechanical prowess. Whether you’re burning out the nests, or tagging on an upgrade to your bike, the game doesn’t deviate from its solid path. I will admit, the story was not so captivating as I would have hoped for. The splitting narratives were more chaotic than branching. Though the hoards and stragglers of zombified carcasses, blended with good traversal and exploration made up for it. Days Gone is not the goliath among zombie games, but it is a solid addition. In a story narrative about the walking dead, it can be hard to find a footing among the many others that have claimed that title. Days Gone does find a footing in and among them, but it is far from the top so to speak.

Victorian London, the worlds ablaze with a plague and you’re a vampire. Seems like quite the selling points, and to me it was. The world was as dreary as you would expect a plagued London to be. Dark cervices and alleyways, period dressage and socioeconomic separation. The scene was set up well, the characters were much akin to the high regard I give this game. Mechanics were functional, I enjoyed the combat, the ability progression. The natural blend of narrative and action, a combination that worked. Characters were life like, not bland or generic. London was a breathing setting, even if it was to the sound of slowly dying citizens. Unfortunately, as much as I praise the game it its splendour, there is that impending but. For me it was the hard crashes after twenty minutes. It’s a shame that a well-crafted world, full of charm and character falls to the clutches of backend ongoings. It’s a shame as I really wanted to explore the roots of the well-crafted levels, but alas it was not meant to be. In conclusion then, the world and its characters seemed well revised. The idea of being a creature of myth among the reality of a plague was insightful. Though my time was halted and swift, if ever you have better luck, I am sure that the world of which was created can play home to a chapter in a very enticing an thrilling tale, one of bloodlust and all.

House Flipper

It’s a simple premise, renovating houses, making a dream home a reality. It’s one of those games that you don’t think about at first. Not one that you would willingly throw your money at, though I’m glad I did. House flipper is a simple game, nothing overly complex, but that’s why it excels. A quick destruction of walls or perhaps a repaint of the living room for an hour brings a much needed essence of fun. House Flipper isn’t going to win awards of narrative and branching character development, but then again it doesn’t need to. Sometimes the simplest of things can be the most rewarding. I never thought in a million years I would be playing a game about house renovations, but here we are. Intuitive controls, simple mechanics and a wad of cash, what more do you need. I’m not saying you play this game religiously, but kick back an hour or two and you’ll enjoy some much needed breaks from RPG fanfares and five man killstreaks. In ending then, this game isn’t for everyone, but that could be said about many games. It is however, a relaxed, simple and engaged experience that will have you executing those creative genes to the limits. The only notch I found is the cut off UI on TV screens, but one can excuse such minor inconveniences for a really good game.

Odyssey latches on to the RPG elements Origins laid down, but takes it to greater heights. From the enriched Greek Isles, to the stories of mythical creatures and gods, Odyssey is much more immersed than its predecessor. One of the biggest features was the gender of the Canon Protagonist (As the opposite could also be chosen). Being female makes a headline in an ever changing landscape in games, while this is nothing new for this franchise, it has certainly cemented the modern standards of the genre. Gender besides though Odyssey has lived up to my expectation is many other ways. The vast open world and well detailed environments, have shone as its core features. Scaling the rock faces of forested cliff sides or that of the stone embodiment of Poseidon really stuck to the Assassin Creed roots. Though with the options of horseback and ship sailing, traversal felt better to combat yourself, rather than fast travel. Odyssey is very much an improvement over Origins, executing more in depth RPG options both in dialogue and actions. Though this was much a positive, to me the RPG influences as of late are creating a different sort of game. I enjoy RPG’s and while this is not native to the genre in terms of a personal custom character, it really carries that pride. However, from the hoarding of gear and levelling mechanics, to RPG branching story arcs, the core of what Assassins Creed was, has worn away. In conclusion then, Odyssey excels as a new addition to the franchise. It capitalises on all the things Origins had, and even pushes the boat out further. Though while it excels in what is has achieved, this new form of Assassins Creed will not carry the same effect as I think older instalments once did.

DELAYED REVIEW When you play a franchised game for as long as I have, you go through its entirety. From the rocky launches and balancing issues, through to the well praised level designs and activities. There is a scope that being a new player will never quite understand, that visible progression of change that only veteran players can really see. Beyond Light is that progression of change. To me Beyond Light is a fundamental masterpiece, not the most flamboyant or remarkable, but fundamental. It’s created a new form of Destiny 2, expanded and reworked functions to give a better playing experience. From the change in menu UI, concrete narrative refinement and a consistent loot pool to live up to its looter shooter title. Though with all this, it has taken sacrifices. One namely is the “Sunsetting.” It was a topic of high dispute, and in some ways it still is. The idea was solid, cashing out your primary loot from yesteryear to invest in more up to date and better quality gear. Though the idea was not the problem, more so the implementation. Since a particular piece of gear can last 4 seasons, what’s the incentive to discard your old gear prematurely. Why go hunt new stat rolls when your old gear is going to suffice for a fair few months. I’m very much for and against sunsetting, but I don’t see it being much of an impact, which makes it a wasteful feature. In terms of Beyond Light itself, I have enjoyed the new subclass abilities, the new location and story arc. I love the revival of old friends and sparrowing through the snow coated landscape of Europa. Though persistent in giving us more things to explore and do, Destiny 2 is still the same grind fest it has always been for some time. Sometimes the time we put in, does not always reward you with equal reward. Sure you can hoard bounties and play the game that way, but for me that got boring, often ending my session after just an hour. I have said this many times before, but core activities like strikes, crucible even gambit, need to deliver more XP gains. As a solo PvE player, strikes back in the original Destiny were my endgame. Mainly because they suited solo play, and the hunt for those exclusives was fun and exciting. Even before the days of the skeleton keys, not knowing if you’d get the drop was the reason I kept coming back. Fast forward to present Destiny 2, and those once fun and enjoyable playlist strikes, have lost all their shine. In ending then, as much as Beyond Light brings about a new age and to many a new beginning. Some aspects are still being outshined by the former 7 year old instalment. In many ways Destiny 2 embarks in quality, but leaves a lot to be desired, Beyond Light just enforces this.

Well, well, well. Fun, just lacking in the all action combat surreal **** future you would expect from a game call Wolfenstein. While it’s nice that it included a co-op experience, this to me is not just one of the things that brings it down, but tainted it from the beginning. The game does have an interesting idea, but it lacks the concrete in foundations that made the previous two great. Semi-OpenWorld. Why? I could leave it at that, but I won’t. The previous two used a linear progression and had a small hub in between certain stages. This game used a more OpenWorld environment which took away from the feel of the previous games. On the topic of environment, the location and time setting just didn’t fit, yeah it follows on into the future, but it lost its rustic old-fashioned war themed design, which is what the others sold me on. Another wobbly part of this already uneasy foundation was the two main protagonists. Not only was there two, but they felt bland uninteresting and overall fell flat right out of the gate. Yeah, the elevator cutscenes gave us a peek in to the sisterly bond, but they were few and far apart, and once you’d watched them all you just didn’t really care. Overall the game sticks to the **** shooter you would expect from a game titled Wolfenstein. However, the twin protagonists, the location and time as well as the gruelling level grind pitched this one at the post. I wanted to enjoy this, but the flair and magic of the previous titles was gone and I don’t think it was there to begin with. A solid attempt at mixing up the formula, but it just doesn’t work without faults. Somethings are best left where they are (1940’s good old-fashioned war) and how they are (Linear with a badass protagonist (singular not plural)).

A fun playthrough, just feels samey as the previous in the trio collection. The game stands as a nice addition in rounding off an adventure of Lara Croft. However, the game does more or less resemble the previous game just in a new location and story. What makes it good is the constants that were carried over, the ease of use combat for example or the easy traversing of the terrain. It is let down however by the seemingly same plot line just in a new dress. Don’t get me wrong I had a blast playing this game, it just felt monotonous at times, when you realise its practically the same action over and over again. The puzzle elements were fine, and added that little bit of head scratching challenge you would expect. The fight scenes, especially the final boss was fun to play. Even stealth was challenging to a point it was fun, and I hate stealth. Though the game has its ups, it does have its downs. The game plays much like previous instalments, unearth some ancient artefact leading to a wonderful hidden civilisation, while running away from a military organisation hellbent on killing you, all the while Lara keeps saying that everything bad that happens is her fault. That last bit leads me on to my final point. I get it Lara is an all action fighting machine, I mean she is a Tomb Raider, but by god can she not be so stubborn about everything. Someone dies or is injured, she’s all like I’m sorry this is all my fault. She gets injured, she doesn’t want anyone’s help. Its like she plays the good guy and bad guy at exactly the same time. The game then is a fun play, although it gets repetitive and the character personality does irritate me from time to time, it’s still a fun game nonetheless. I don’t know if there will be another game, but if there is let’s hope it’s as good this one if not better.

What a let-down. I usually try to be positive in a game, even if it hits and misses on nearly all accounts. This however is the very much protruding exception. As an avid fan of the 2k WWE games I am in a very heartfelt way disappointed. I wanted this to be the big achievement, the grandeur of the collection, the pinnacle in the franchise. Instead we got much the opposite. This is a game that not only shipped with glitches galore, but altered constants for the sake of “Streamlining”. After hearing the news and reviews of this game, and how negativity was much the impression, I decided to see for myself. Bad move? Depends how you look at it. The game functions, but that is about as positive as it gets. Most of what works is similar if not the same as last year’s game (Which I praise well). Most of the modes like Universe is the same. It really seems like a repeat of 2k18 being the same as 2k17, just much worse. I’ll overlook the glitches as its quite obvious why you would give negativity for something like that. Instead I’ll look at the game at its core. The controls for starters. Who in their right mind thought “Oh I know what would be great, if we change the controls to be different and not really work for the sakes of streamlining”. Why? The controls worked, they were fine, they didn’t need changing. We used them for so long it became a brain ache when learning a new scheme for something we would usually have done with ease. Besides the controls, it was the little things that have dampened my enjoyability with the game. The lack of too late or too early prompts with reversals. How the menus in create a superstar start back at the top when you back out from a sub section. The overall look of the menu design seems crude and rushed, 2k19 had a nice seamless design. In conclusion, I really am annoyed. How has a franchise that has had its teething problems but was on a steady climb fallen so far? It’s a shame as this was one franchise I have consistently bought since 2k took over. Maybe I’ll sit out for the next couple of years, or look to see if other developers are making wrestling games. If this is what we get after being loyal for so long, maybe it’s time I put this franchise to rest. For good.

A game that gives you the reigns on the narrative is a quite a strong fulfilment. Detroit Become Human fulfils that partnership with player control and solid narrative. I enjoyed this game for the most part and it really tied a heart gripping connection between the three main characters and the host of supporting ones. Although this game is very well crafted and something I thoroughly enjoyed, it did have some small unfortunates. The game was well written and narrative was solid, however I felt gridlocked at points, sometimes I would choose an option not knowing that it would lead me the wrong direction. I also felt cornered from some parts of the game based on my actions, and while this is a major in game mechanics, I felt clouded as to the overall ending I was headed for. Though is was sometimes a bit misleading, I still enjoyed the game. The tense dialogue decisions, relationships with other characters and the whole arc of the story ran really well. I loved the perspective of three very different characters. I loved how it broke the bounds of a human connection and roped in a real potential in a robotic future. Every niche and stone from the menu screen android to the wonderful map terrain was really captivating. Quantic Dream knows how to make a game, they understand how to bound a deeper connection, how to punish for consequence abiding actions. Having played an earlier game of theirs in Heavy Rain I expected a solid standard of content and it smashed the standard of narrative driven games beyond a countable limit. While I have some down points, they do not compare to the overall enjoyment I had. Execution was unparallel in a story sense and really dominated in giving gameplay as well as the control of the final ending.

I’m personally am not a fan of Gambit, the hybrid crossover that felt to me unfair to many players. Though this season had major focus of Gambit it did make for a neat introduction for some other things. The introduction to the loyalty questline has me wanting more of the story. The introduction of Invitations of The Nine was an excellent unforeseeable inclusion. And bringing back a fan favourite weapon in Thorn was definitely welcomed. While it was good to see some nice additions, the overall focus on Gambit was what let this down for me. A nice update to Gambit but too much focus on it.

In its lows it defines open world adventure. It its best it defines the same thing on a larger scale. I will openly admit I loved this game. From the varied cast of characters to the all-out shootouts it had me gripped. The open world was vast and very open, it allowed me to feel like a hard-head cowboy in the western dunes or high-rise mountains. While it played, felt and generally gave a gripping story and adventure, there was a couple of things that let it down. One of them was the lonesome cavern of the open world. Sure, it was beautiful and nothing was off limits, but at times it got bland and boring. For example, you could be riding the road from Saint Denis to Valentine and absolutely nothing happens. Maybe on the off chance you encounter a random event or some roguish thugs, nothing too grand though. The second downside was the lack of content after the epilogue. Once the main campaign is done you have a small epilogue to tie up the loose ends. After that though there is not much going on. No DLC content for the story either makes for not much fun. In conclusion this game is good, even great. The problem is the world can be too expansive for an actual enjoyable experience. I’m not saying make a gun shootout on every corner, but after you have passed a blind man about 30 times, I might as well have shot him and forget it ever happened. Also, with there being no solid content after the main story it does make you wonder. Now I like Rockstar as a company but, this game feels to have been made to be short term popular than a longer running title.

Where to start, this another game in the franchise another copy to place current superstars on a thin circular disc, but is it really worth it. A year in year out release my sound good but you only have to look at Assassins Creed to see that the formula doesn’t work all too well. I get the landscape of WWE changes quicker than the 1 2 3 but a game needs to provide a concrete sustainable function of gameplay to provide a way for players to enjoy it. Now WWE 2k19 is not bad in fact it is probably the best since 2k took over the franchise, obviously props to 2k14 for story mode but we’ll move on. 2k19 basks in good gameplay, lovely graphics and an expansive way to create your own shows and wrestlers. The return of showcase was a nice addition and the towers was another way to last your time with the game. But underneath the layers of content poured out by the new release lies the same old concept of glitches (though I must say not as much), A few persistent errors with the creation suite and overall a carbon copy of last years with a few decorative modes. I will say I enjoy this game as I have for many in the franchise, but since skipping out on 2k18 I doubted the success on this one. While it has improved since 2k18 it still feels as if these games are struggling with giving its players that full creative freedom we hoped for. I will keep to the franchises as I love wrestling but let’s hope that 2k can pull out a big one for 2k20.

You don’t buy margarine expecting it to be like butter for the same reason you don’t play Wolfenstein and expect another kind of like COD game. The reason for this is that Wolfenstein has a reason behind things, story to understand and immerse with, shooting mechanics that feel right and a game that delivers what shooters should be. It’s a game it does not have to be realistic. A game such as this does not require you to know a broad back history of some overly buff protagonist and how they joined an academy became a member of an elite squad of killers and went God save the queen all over a couple of Russian terrorists. No, this game has a story you will enjoy, a story that for most of it feels as if it could have actually happened if not to a lesser degree. Wolfenstein 2 is a wonderous predecessor to Wolfenstein and for that deserves a medal in its own right. Wolfenstein 2 is one of those games that is not to be forgotten not one you’ll easily forget, **** ruling the world you fighting for a better tomorrow all while you listen to Train to Hamburg a record you found while snooping around a well-designed level. Now I could go on and on and on about how good this game is or how imaginative it was or the way it’s satisfying for a large hulking **** behemoth to explode, but I won’t. It's not without its faults be its not that bad. Black Armoury gave us new challenges new gear and a whole load of lore. It improved the game in a way that added extra to the previous Forsaken DLC, however like I said it’s not without its faults. Much of the content seems co-op based, now it’s an online game so it makes sense. However, considering a sizeable portion of the community play solo it does fathom the question of Where is our content? As a mainly solo player myself this has been a common problem throughout the destiny lifecycle, I like the addition of matchmaking activities but would prefer if there were activities that were designed for solo play. In regards to Black Armoury there are things to do just not all as fun as you think. Take the forges for example good concept just not really worth the grind. Yes, if you have a weapon to unlock then it’s ok I suppose, just don’t expect it to be done the first-time round, those forges are brutal. That leads me to another problem with Black Armoury, the level difficulty was too high at launch and even after gaining good gear and being at a good level the challenge is still hair ripping frustrating. Now it’s not all bad, there are some cool new exotics and the return of Last Word was a nice addition but overall the expansion could have done with a little more to give players a worthwhile experience, especially solo players. Black Armoury was good but it could have been better let’s hope that Joker’s Wild lives up to player expectations in a more profound manner.

For a game to break the norm in today's society is not as common as it once was. FPS games carbon copies of another, MMO's fighting for the best paid membership and some games too broken that it's skeptical to call them one. Even though there is a surge of copy cats and prototypes there are some that stand out above all else, this game is one of them. It may be a modernised remake of a classic but it still holds a candle to original creations. This game for me is one that not only captures the essence of good storytelling but in a way I don't see very often. The combat being a centre focal point and narrative push makes be engaged and focused on the story aspect. Each character of the game whether it's Kiryu or Haruka each have purpose and reason. The voice actors are ace and really show the expressive attitudes of each. The city in which the game is based is big enough to explore but too big where traveling becomes a bore. I must say I though this game would be difficult to play as I don't understand Japanese and that the subtitles would make it hard to grasp the seriousness of it, but i was wrong. The expert voice acting, well timed music and expressive animations allowed a wide understanding of what was going on regardless of the language barrier. Overall this game is one of the best I've played, my only bad thing is the obvious nostalgic feel of its PS2 days, but it wasn't that bad. This game is a must buy and really captures an originality that only SEGA could produce.

Forsaken is the next installment to Destiny 2, and while it definitely feels like that, there are a few things that really lack from the full brim experience I was hoping for. Now the expansion on a whole was really good, and I mean if you compare it to the likes of Taken King from D1 it's up there. So whats bad about it , here's what. Forsaken was to me what Destiny 2 needed for a while, like how Taken King was for Destiny 1, (Note I'll make references to Taken King a lot throughout this review), it had the campaign, the new enemy faction, even more mystery to the Hive and Taken. What Forsaken undoubtedly lacked though was the reason to commit, especially for the likes of solo players like myself. Introducing a new enemy with a new story on somewhat familiar ground was the basis of Forsaken, the death of Cayde-6, the quest for revenge, the familiar friend of Petra and the new face of the Spider, countless Scorn lead by bigger scorn all wrapped in the beautiful and scenic destinations of The Tangled Shore and Dreaming City. The new bounties to collect, enemies to fight, public event to complete, might not add a lot to the story but they added increased value to it's play cycle. The addition of new mode Gambit was an ace , more loot and engrams to scour the land for and the discovery of a few mysteries and easter eggs. What the problem is, is that while there is lot's of new things they don't all play right into your hand. Before Forsaken we had little to do, and a lot of grinding prior to that, Forsaken launches and the past has now repeated itself. Its like complete strike, crucible match, challenge, flashpoint, gambit match, this that. Repeated grind for gear that boosts your level a little bit, the exploration of strikes running dry after you've had to grind them for the past 5 hours, with mind you no strike specific loot on Heroics, all adds up to you playing a great expansion for however long you can keep interested. Destiny 1 had Taken King that expansion had reasons for the grind, encouraged you delve deeper, asked you to find the secret loot, begged you to keep coming back, why? because that expansion took narrative and story and mashed it with loot and play to give you something to keep coming back for, Forsaken for me is starting to feel dry and only a couple days after launch is not what it should be doing. Overall the story was fun, the remnants of Prison of Elders coming back was a nice addition, but the bolted on grind and lack of fun for solo players, even though they said they wanted more focus on that, has taken what should have been the big push and reduced it to the cut and stab next chapter in a game that I love so much, but now starting to be angry with.

Heavy Rain, a game purged with narrative to give you a gripping story and relatable characters. Though this game offers good storytelling it does approach some simplistic functionality in game play which for me feels bare and minimal considering what we have had in the past decade with games and storytelling. On a positive start this game is rather good with telling you a story, the many options for dialogue and progressive behaviors of the characters to one another allows for full immersive reality. Aspects like do you kill this guy or intervene with this gives players not only choice but the idea that there is more to the actions than here and now. Characters in this game are not made to be unrealistic either and make you feel sympathy and honest hurt when something gripping happens. Each of the 4 main protagonists having different backgrounds allows for different takes on the game play depending on what the player feels is best or what they just happen to feel towards a specific character. Now I've given it some positive points for it to gloat about but with all good things there is that outlying bad point or in this case points. The first is the quick time events, I get it that this game is solely narrative based and game play is more an after thought, but having players mash a few buttons, twiddle the analog stick a few times and then shout at the TV for a bit because you've done the same part 5 times is not exactly gonna shout hey come play our game with button mashing controls and free rage. That also brings me to the second point, bad controls. During some quick time events you have to shake the controller up or down or left to right, seems fine right, the problem is half the time it doesn't work. For example, oh no you gonna crash the car move the controller to the right, you move controller to the right, are you doing it asks the theoretical game voice, Yes you shout as you beak every ligament in your hand, and after all is said and done it still hasn't done it.. Sticking with controls, by god what is with the walking controls, hold this button move this stick, and the animation for it is not exactly smooth either, often having you walk around the wrong way and then go oh you want to go this way and walk back again. The final point is the graphics, I get that it's a port from PS3 and I get that back then they were standard, but you could have altered a few textures and upgraded the graphics a little to fit with the common expectations, but to me that wasn't too major. All in all this game is great, yes it has a bit of a loose control scheme and yes the graphics are dated, but the game is and always will be brilliant at not only telling a story but telling one where your actions have consequences

Why I play Call of Duty is beyond me, why I even think the story won't include some terrorist organisation trying to blow up something is even further beyond, but as this was an added extra in PS Plus there must be something good right, sort of. Now unlike other Call of Duty games I've played prior, namely Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare this game was in peaked position, but to call it my favorite is pushing way too far, more like 19th, 20th best shooter. This game was good in the aspect that I could actually just fight with a gun and not use my advanced infinite thingy backpack, seen in recent games, but there was a bit more. The story was actually alright though vastly confusing places, this however became to pushing point for me as it allowed this scarce mystery amongst all other things to be well founded and ultimately ended with an understanding, although pushing a cliffhanger vibe. The combat was norm, as you would expect, the range of guns and modifications allowed for versatile play, and on the whole played well allowing for fast paced action or slow methodical sniper shooting. Now I don't normally play online FPS bu this time I played some multiplayer, and It was fun, no complication or unfair perks and the idea of choosing a character that suited you was a ace addition as it allowed for variation in the battles which I highly enjoy. Overall I was quite happy with game, however it seems to be an altered version of the previous games, you know good guy bad guy, just a new re-skin and a few teaks here and there. So whilst this game was solid it felt more like a copy than anything that would hold stature as a sole title.

Awesome is definitely one way to describe this, and though this game is about 2 to 3 hours long it plays well and has a lot of features and imaginative aspects that round up the world through that of a 9 year old kid. The sense of Captain Spirit played strong and not being brushed off and forgotten, the idea of certain things becoming almost monster like to Chris and in the real world are normal items allows a push in a creative direction. The various items you find that unlock certain things keens an interest to me as it allows for you to feel nestled in the prior of adventure. One aspect I loved is the items you find that give you a wider view of Chris, his father and what happened to his mother, something of which really shows good strength in a story perspective, by giving you the ideas but indirectly so you work it out for yourself. Now this game maybe short as it is a prequel to Life is Strange 2 but that does not mean it should be overlooked, short yes but boring and bland no. Immersive interaction with purpose is what this game is and hopefully that will carry on when Life is Strange 2 releases.

(This is an updated review after giving the game some more time) Elder Scrolls Online fun intuitive, but bargains with the spite of the MMO hand. This game first had me hating it with connection issues and the feeling of impossible progression, but after giving it another chance has made me feel wanting to breath life into it like I have for the other games in the franchise. Now I will say that this game is not perfect as I'll explain later but the idea is much better to that of many other MMO games some of which even enticing you with being free. So what is special about this shall we say next installment in the Elder Scrolls series, well it has a knack at being well presented and develops on a scale that makes it near possible to flaunt the main missions without the consent of doing other activities. The aperture of making the character your own is also ace as it it keeps to the position of what each Scrolls game has been about. The wonder of a diverse skills set and ability to use various armors and weapons has made a versatile and tactile approach that has allowed anyone to be anything, from a Waring Breton mage to a sword sheathing Reguard. The look of the game is flawless, well not literally but for the most part as it has that Scrolls feel to it and the pasted MMO you come to expect, but visuals are nothing compared to the delight of the music, and as always it's a joy to sit and listen to. The unfortunate point is that whilst you are basking the vast world of Tamriel, the spite of Mr Virtual Shop is around the corner waiting to pick pocket your crowns and give you a vanity pet item for your troubles. This is where the game for me takes one look at you and wipes money across your screen with the hope of drawing you in, but to be honest I'm not surprised after all this game is an MMO. To put it in conclusion this game embarks a journey for you to explore the realms of Tamriel, alone or with friends. So if you do buy this be mindful as this is a MMO so yes there is an abundance of paying items and DLC extras, but that aside the core game is very much the Scrolls game you would expect.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided a game I wanted to enjoy but falters on the same points I had with Human Revolution. That ethos in games where the idea is great but the execution divides (see what I did there) players for what we get is much the summary of this game, shame as it really could excel if alterations were made. Now the world in which it's set and the various ins and outs make exploring fun and enjoyable, and the movable objects to throw at people and how everyone one wants to kill you adds the sense of shooter free elements to spice up your play through. However that is where the enjoyment of my time with the game peaked, putting it down in less than a few hours, why? Well the game hopes to be something that to me feels outdated, for example the limited inventory space, the way guns cost way too much, how after impaling 100 bullets into the mechs it still comes down to whipping out your stun gun and keeping momentarily inactive and how you think stealth is stealth when in fact your not stealthy at all. Seems like a rant but the matter is that you play this game with the idea to get this game in this modern decade of games to realise it plays like a game made 10 15 years ago just with some updated graphics. The fact is this game is much on the same reasons I put Human Revolution down, too grindy and heavily depends on stealth even though that's not always possible 80% of the time. Overall the game looks nice and plays to a degree of not bad, but the above mention additions and constant feeling like this is a game past it's prime defines that the idea of this game is done and dusted.

The Crew, a game with a large open world but tiresome tasks to explore it. The idea seems great on paper big open world, lot's of cars to drive and your typical oh look at me protagonist. The reality is that what we got barely passes as a spite of good quality, and more like a wanna be driving simulator with the effect of totally breaking the law. Now that's not to say it's all bad, I mean on a casual user level it really excels in giving you a enjoyable driving game, so here are some good points to start positive. The driving is really nice and I mean nice, the various types of cars and the way they behave on the different surfaces adds the click of realism to your high speed antics and 1 second in it races. The next point is based on the model of cars, now there are not loads, but what we get is a good selection of different ranges that suit everyone's play style. My only critique with this is the various kits you can apply, for example a dirt spec or performance spec, and how only certain cars can have some where others can have more. The final good point is the visuals, now the open world is great but the visual appearance is lacking in the wow look at me department. However the look of the cars is nice, the sleek designs, paint jobs and wheel trims look really nice no matter if your out for a Sunday drive or cursing north of 300mph on the narrow alleys of Detroit. Now for the bad, playing the game is wobbly to put it nicely, the missions seem rinse and repeat and the competition in races is stupid often blaring in to a giant pile up and you winning 25 seconds in front of everyone else. Also the constant little challenges you face whilst driving is beyond annoying, for example I want to drive really fast get use to my new car, oh wait let me do the slalom challenge first. As far as story missions go, they don't improve, having you either race against the clock, race through checkpoints, or race against such and such before the time runs out. There are other things but worth mentioning is not really necessary as you can probably guess there either time related or collect something. In conclusion I'll hand it to Ubisoft and Ivory Tower, they went ambitious and took the risk, the problem was that they had so much room and little in the way of things to purposefully fill it up. If your looking to buy don't get overly excited it bottles up nicely as a cool driving game, but what it wanted to be it never quite was.

FFXV, wow, it has all you could ever want and more. This was the first FF game I have ever played and to be honest it was very good, being new to the franchise and style of play had me skeptical but soon as I instigated the play and nestled into to the lore and story it was feeling interesting immersive and very "Fantasy" based. The characters are well polished something you see in many high budget games, the quad team that you play with throughout the game felt great making me want to play with them rather than seeing them and then going "meh ok let's go kill something". The story was a little confusing to start with as I didn't know much about the characters or the factions or game worlds or the God's or the various unique animals but in someway it felt as if that made it more fun more adventurous and something which hooked me from start to end. Aspects of the game like the limited driving and travel of the world, as well as the this weapon is best for this monster mechanic let it down for me a bit but not by much. Overall this was a awesome game, had loads fun and really enjoyed it. However this to me seems like a game that I would only play once so future or even past installments of this franchise I wouldn't go hunting for, as I feel this was a one time thing and it's style and genre is not all for me.

Curse of Osiris was a curse to the game and I'm not being theoretical, it's short and shallow content seemed to extend the lifeline of Destiny 2 more than expand it. Now I like no I love Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 and the whole lore and franchise however this was embarrassing. I'll start good, it had nice visuals, it had a sense of connectivity with the Vex and Osiris and all things confusing and futuristic, and that's where the good points end. What this expansion failed to achieve was any sense of direction, any reason to play it, I'm sure if this had never been released no one would have missed it. The idea of knowing Osiris seemed like a awesome concept an idea we needed but what we got was not what we needed. The story bounced into mixed confusion not really knowing what was going on and the ultimate boss fight feeling like a minor enemy to overcome, I mean for God sake we were aided in defeating it's not exactly a challenge. The Vex, they were ok but again seemed minor, less important the more you went into the story and the premise of the game. This expansion was awful it failed the expectation, having more lore, more challenge, unique items hell even a Vex God would have given this a fresh experience something I would have enjoyed playing. I know soon as I finished the story and the little side quests I haven't been back to Mercury and its a shame because it has something about it that was never used and was bogged down into something we will all soon forget.

Good with the lack of keeping it solid, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is a game to me a bit wobbly based on it's game play and other questionable features. It spans the state of space warfare well, but to be honest that's been done ten times over, do something different, and that's were to me it felt like a last ditch effort to prize another Call of Duty for the hell of it. So what was bad about it you may ask, well to be honest most of it, now the campaign was quite interesting and the way in which you were pretty much the guy who had the bull by it's horns so to speak was fun, but the execution was limited (though I wasn't expecting much since the Advanced Warfare screw up). The space battles were ok but it did feel more like a simulation than the immersion of actually fighting in space, next the ground combat was the norm, but that's a little disappointing since it overhauled with futuristic weaponry and an abundance of what the hell attachments. Besides the game mechanics the story was alright, the characters floundered in any real attachment but it was understandable to see where it was progressing, it's just that it felt more like I had put on a cheap budget film, with b rated actors and the budget was blown on a few fancy graphics. On the whole the game flopped and to be honest this whole franchise is taking a steep nose dive into deep water with it's fans, I'm not really a Call of Duty fan but this was just a disappointment, the last Call of Duty game I played prior was an even massive failure so it got better kinda, the one before ok, and the one before that goes back a few years to the PS2, Call of Duty Finest Hour, that was pretty good but still traded that for Medal of Honor European Assault. Let's face it Call of Duty is not the bear standard of FPS War games anymore, and quite frankly that's good, because if other developers copied what Call of Duty did then we may never see a good FPS War game ever again.

Well, its definitely the way to end an iconic characters adventure. this game plays and feels like an Uncharted game, introduces new mechanics like the rope grapple and plays well through somewhat open world environments. The cliff-hanging action (see what i did there cos you are always hanging off a cliff) and gun to gun combat feels smooth and with variants of enemies it makes game play challenging. Though i will praise this game 110% it does in some areas not feel like the Uncharted experience we've come to know, though this may be a good thing as it allowed for experimentation and a new look and perspective to pave a way through for more expansions on the Uncharted franchise. All in all this game will have you hooked from the get go with a narrative driven story and game play to keep you engaged, and most certainly the best way to end the story of Nathan Drake.

Well, a game with adventure, excitement and the thrill of enjoyment, is what this game should be, and for the most part is. There isn't too many bad points, so I'll go over them first. Lara, now the character is fine, fits well with the game, the story, even the characters ,but at points, she feels so selfish, like oh that was my fault, this has happened because of me, oh I'm sorry I did this, it's those little phrases and speech, that really make me want to skip cut scenes, but it's Lara Croft so I didn't. The second and last bad point, is the story, though good, as I'll explain later, is at times forced, often feeling rushed, and is a shame because on a whole it flows well with the environments, but can be lackluster at times. Now the good points, game play well done, now I wasn't expecting Uncharted styled game play, or cryptic puzzles to solve, but what we got was a pact, and well executed function of game play, the various weapons and tools to help during exploration and climbing obstacles was a nice, and the feel of open world was pretty cool too. Combat, loved it, fluid, clean and made gun fights, and melee feel heart pounding. The range of weapons to fight with was ace, and the ability for stealth was a plus, overall very good when it came to combat. Story, raiding a tomb, seems the norm, and execution of this said norm was very well done, it's a shame no, quote on quote sexy scenes were present despite the 18 rating, but hey it was good without them none the less, overall gripping and enticing at every corner. Lastly the characters, now there is Lara, but she was fine, in more ways than one, but the other characters were pleasing, respectable and didn't give me the urge to ignore them, each one having an impact on what happened, even down to the generic enemies, each one had purpose and didn'r feel like placeholders. On a final note, the game was amazing, the visuals is what I would expect, and for the most part a very tidy game, challenges were difficult at times but never too hard you gave up, and the story and characters seemed polished and purposeful, must say well done, well done indeed.

Elex, concept interesting, execution meh, it has promise, open world, fleshed out dialogue and an abundance of various things to fight, but that is only a portion of the game, the rest falter short, being more a low budget RPG, than an interesting playable game. Starting positive, it's alright, the graphics are not great, but that's not a major factor, for me at least, the vast open world is neat, and well executed, character dialogue is varied with multiple choices and not so boring information, and lastly the variety of things to battle, keeps the surplus of challenge relevant. Now for the not so good things, lip sinking with character speech is off, but not game breaking, character movement is a little sluggish, though not too bad, and the feel of the game sways a little at times, sometimes wondering what the hell to do. Now, for the things that this game failed at, for the lack of a better word. Story, shame, it seemed wobbly, unsure to exactly what the hell was going on, now I've only played a couple hours, but even now I want to put it down, the story had promise at the beginning with the opening cut scene, but fell off the radar soon as the game play instigated, leaving me with the though of, what just happened? Combat, appalling in today's standard, Skyrim did it better, and that games ancient now, hell even Oblivion had richer combat, and that's even older, to put it into perspective, it's like soon has you engage battle everything around you is unimportant, as the character is solely focused on the enemies, animations don't make it better, often feeling slow, and with combat being an important item it's a real shame. On a final note, it's not unplayable, it's more don't get your hopes up for another, kinda like Skyrim game, cos it's not, more like the by-product of the failed prototypes of Skyrim, it had promise, and that's all it had, the outcome was half decent at best. If you plan to buy it, remember this is not the next Skyrim or Witcher, it's what they never were, for the wrong reasons.

Original, to the origins of the creed, seems like a good concept, and well it was. The time I spent playing the game, it really excelled what I had in mind, the seamless parkour and hand to hand combat seemed like the Assassins Creed game we needed, but there were a few notable, shall we say, disappointments. The story was, interesting, had a lot of history to it, but the down side was it was a bit jumpy at the beginning, I didn't quite grasp much of what was happening, and being thrown right into a battle, is alright to learn controls, but from a story standpoint, a bit confusing. Leveling in this game, was a nice addition, worked well with the progression of the story and the harder missions, but, what lacked was the fact that just by doing the main quests, did not set you up for the next main missions, for example, you hit a major point in the story, and your level 10, but the next mission is level 15, the gap is too big, which has me thinking that there is not much in the way of a composed story, On the topic of leveling, to be able to match with the recommended level, you have to do side quests, now that's fine because some play well with characters you've met or have quirks of humor about them, the only real problem is that they take away from the main story, it's like, now we can go and kill the final boss, but wait let me kill some hippos for a village so I can be ready for the boss fight, seems silly doesn't it. Note: I have not finished the game, but i'm pretty sure this is how it will continue. On a final note it is well rendered in visuals, and the story in enticing, but the leveling progression can be tiresome at times, probably rate this my third best AC game.

Mass Effect Andromeda, cool name, for a pretty cool game, first Mass Effect game I've ever played, and in all honesty, was pretty good. I know little of the Mass Effect universe, but this game allowed me to play regardless, as it did not center itself on the idea of knowing the past installments. The combat was fun, and the ability to level up and gain new powers was engaging, there were however some parts I wish were more fleshed out. Characters seemed bland in parts, not knowing their background much or the part in their role, felt a disconnection between them, that's not all of them, but some did feel as if they were there for the hell of it. In any game i'm all about the narrative and this game slightly disappointed me, it was lackluster and had a sort of sense in direction, but heavily focused on either building outposts or saving captives, the sense of the mysterious monoliths was interesting but that is the only strength I feel from the story. If I was BioWare, this is what improvements should be made, have a more condensed map, not so many planets, this is what made it feel over exhausted, I feel that a smaller collection of planets would have suited better, another improvement would be making characters more interesting, maybe have a small cut scene of their life when you meet them and have those points reflected in the game, might make is easier to be sympathetic if they say died during a mission. Overall, this game has some good elements, but the story and characters don't push this enough, and with the vast open worlds it makes it harder to digest.

Destiny 2, oh how the sequel lives to a limited imagination. I loved the first and all it's following expansions, that was a good game, no overhaul in micro-transactions or the constant let down of rich content, you jump in to original Destiny, and you'll find yourself having a good time, what a shame the sequel could not quite keep the same standards. The story was good, the visuals improved and the layout of the HUD was smooth and clean, but narrative and visuals are nothing once squandered by the perilous antics of transactions and one time consumables. The let down for Destiny 2 is nothing really in the game core itself, more of the virtual shop within it, buying gems or what not is nothing new in games, and buying them to purchase paying only exclusives isn't either, but this game had no need for it. I won't say all the bad points, read other player reviews, but beside the bad points there is some light, the story is good, and I mean good, there is a lot of connection between the characters, that was seen in the original, the new antagonist is amazing and the overall direction of the story is great. The more open world environments is a neat addition, the ability to explore and play small missions and get new gear is fun, the secrets you unravel the enemies you fight all wrapped up in a beautiful world is well worth exploring. Combat is much the same, the classes are altered in their abilities, but that's good as it allows for a more unique experience, I've not played strikes or crucible yet (down to the fact of PS Plus, highly against that), but i would think they would be improved from the last game. On a final note there is downsides to Destiny 2 and there are upsides to it, as there are with many games, but if you're looking for clean crisp gun combat and a story that doesn't stray in to confusion, then consider giving Destiny 2 ago.

A game with high expectations let down by corporate greed, really makes me sad to realize that's what we have come to. I wont hate harshly about the online shenanigans as it hopefully will improve over time but also as i bought this game with the hope of a thrilling story and to relive some old memories of the originals through arcade mode, oh how i was disappointed. The graphics were lovely and the voice acting felt on par to that of the films, but the rest was somewhat lacking. First there is offline arcade mode, I'm someone who devotes time into single player games and doesn't care much for online. So when i heard that this game had offline game modes i was already dreaming about the large scale maps and different classes, but that was not the case. Jumping into arcade mode was less than appealing and game play didn't make up for it, to start there are limited maps and i mean about 5 compared to that of say that of Battlefront 2 (the one from 2005) that had loads of maps to play and all sorts of game modes. so with being generous i gave the Theed palace map ago (bear in mind i had completed the story and the mission on the Theed/Naboo map), but oh was it disappointing, limited and enclosed and nothing to make it feel like a large scale battle, and the other maps followed suit. So arcade mode was upsetting, but the story has to be good right, wrong. Lets just say your better off buying a Ps2 and playing the original Battlefront and its sequel rather than dishing out some money form a game that cant even hold a candle to the classics. On a final note, its a shame that large money grabbing companies like EA, spend a few months to make a less than half decent game just so they can profit from it, if they spent a couple of years developing this game and support both online and offline players then maybe we would have something that players and fanatics of the franchise can enjoy, but as long as money is the driving force that will only live in memory.

MMORPG, i think pay up or go away or invest your life for a couple cosmetic items or server error message please wait or your computer is infected with viruses due to X game. I'm sure one if not more of the points you've witnessed or been affected by and most large MMORPGs will have that problem. Where Runescape differs is not that its not grindy (its very grindy) or that you can pay to unlock cool stuff (there is a lot of cool stuff) but that it does it in a way that is not mandatory. When i first started playing way back in 2008 the game was simple easy to understand and an all round good game, but after a while it did falter i mean grinding became more intensive and paying for membership was kinda a pain at times but the core game was still alive, i just wish i had not taken a long 4 year break think of all the things i could have accomplished. When i did return the game was different but in my experience not all for the good reasons, i mean there was a graphic overhaul and some new awesome items and a bunch of other stuff, but the grinding was still major and buying PAID membership unlocked the rest of the FREE game it kinda puts veteran players who have played for sometime seem cheated and for those who cant afford membership makes them think "why did i even bother making a character if now i cant afford my level 80 attack gear". As a final verdict, i wont hate on this game in fact i wont hate at all, its a game i will keep playing because why ditch something that you've spent so long playing, but grind grind grind and pay pay pay can sometime lead to die die die for a game.

It may not include the all famed Nathan Drake who ended his story in Uncharted 4, but gives us some familiar faces from past installments, Chloe and Nadine make quiet the partnership and throw in the older not quite as handsome of the drake brothers, Sam and this game does throw excitement left right and center. Now this game maybe good, but what this game gives is not just an exciting adventure but the possibility of a new saga in the Uncharted series franchise, now that's something to like
