PS4 owners have finally gotten one of the best games of 2015. This version of Rise of the Tomb Raider has been enhanced with add-ons and new game modes and as such is an instant "must have". All the great things about Lara's adventure are still in effect and the only chance to receive a better game of this kind is with the next installment of the series.

Lara's birthday gets celebrated with a ton of content and the latest game on most platforms. The story drags you in immediately and the action keeps you sharp. But the game never blows you away. Still this is a must play if you like adventuring.

Even if you’re not going to end up staying for the story, at least the brutal combat itself will keep you satisfied for hours on end. Stay merciless, Lara.

It's a very beautiful game, and I enjoyed it immensely. I played it for several hours, solving puzzles and navigating around, and I've been playing it for many years now.

This game builds on the foundation of the original reboot game, and is in many ways equally good if not better - however it does for the most time just feel like more of the same and it gets quite repetitive. Game looks and runs good, story is good, gameplay is good. If you liked the first game, you're going to like this game as well.

Странные ощущения от игры.Приятная картинка , неплохие локации. До локации Советская База играл с удовольствием сессиями по 3 часа. Как загриндил локацию и попал на следующую локацию хаб - понял , что игра душит. Куча сайдов , которые просто не нужны. И вся эта идеологию а-ля метроидвания , это все - лишнее. Сюжет менее интересный чем в прошлой части. Вторичная армия бессмертных… В целом мрачный тон и сам мир первой части лучше… Думал будет 9/10, оказалось 7/10.

The first adventure game I ever played. At first, I had high hopes for it, but after 10 hours, the game becomes so bland and soulless that you just want to forget you ever launched it — let alone spent money on it. I think it’s worth starting with the positives, just to somewhat balance what I’m going to describe below. The graphics are truly impressive: lighting is well-crafted, and the cave locations where Lara uses a lamp look genuinely beautiful and immersive. The character models, textures, and shadows are also solid — no complaints there. The first snowy area clearly shows the developers’ effort in the visual department. That’s where the positives end. The dumbest thing they could’ve possibly done in a game set in Russia was to completely ignore the location's authenticity. The peak of the Russian references comes down to a phrase — “cruel hammer of hope.” Then come random Cyrillic phrases without even basic translation. The whole game is soaked in the cliché of “Evil Russia,” with numerous lines about Soviet propaganda and domestic posters that should’ve had slogans but were left blank — as if the devs thought, “Eh, good enough.” And in its main mission — to portray Russians as ridiculous for an English-speaking audience — the game succeeds perfectly. In today’s context, you could even call that an agenda. As I said earlier, after 10 hours of gameplay, the process becomes extremely repetitive: identical loot scattered across the map, limited combat methods and executions, linear level design, excessive grinding, and a mediocre DLC. Verdict: A characterless, hollow game full of propaganda, covered by a pretty visual shell and cold winter atmosphere. Not recommended for purchase — you’ll lose nothing by not having this game in your library. 4/10 & Tier: C
