Racist cultural appropriation. Disgustingly offensive. They turned Mongolians into ninja. Turned chinese military tactics into same-old Roman legionnaire gimmick. Put exaggerated make-up purely for oriental shock-value even though none of the women were aristocrats who could afford make up. They claim to stick to the real ballad of mulan, but add all kinds of utter rubbish that makes no sense. Should've just made fictional countries and create their own character. These people should NOT have marketed themselves as respectful or authentic, because they are NEITHER.

The Last Jedi is made by the same writer/director? Something is afoot. Rian's signature style is at full force. A simple, classic premise that is layered with quirky intrique. You're bombarded with curious red herring in between actual clues. While I agree that there are much better crime mysteries. Rian Johnson is really carving out his own style/sub-genre similar to what Tarantino did for himself.

Expected Will Smith to carry the movie, but actually found the whole supporting cast to be entertainingly likable as well. The story is very creative and does not fall into modern narrative cliches. I genuinely laughed out loud a few times. This is the perfect holiday movie for the whole family that is also creatively satisfying.

Ridiculously fake science and action sequence. Boringly cliche plot. Predictable characterization from the typecast actors (if you've seen one of their characters, you've basically seen them all). Visual effects were decent, albeit they didn't make the face-palm story any more believable. It was psychological torture to sit through this film (I was held hostage to watch it).

It's mind-boggling that people would give this crap 10/10... but the cluster-f of the movie's plot was even more brain-wilting. I mean maybe if you watch it just for the special effects and ignore all the dialogue/story... maybe it's ok? Hence my 4/10?

A film for elitists to feel good about themselves. Liking this film is a way for them to feel like they're doing something for the little guys without actually doing anything. It's a slow, mostly boring, 100% predictable film that seek to conform than to stand out.

The one most fit to rule often isn't the one who wants it most. This movie is a perfect blend of diversity, classic heroism, and key original takes to get audience interested. Any liberal person would be celebrating the success of changing a blonde white man character into a tattoo'd polynesian. A progressive would be studying why this one worked but the other attempts failed. A power-mad regressive though... would attack the minority stars of the movies because they don't want to share the spotlight.

Good times until the mystery man shows up. Little random "twists" in the backgrounds of the characters were enjoyable (aside from the dull-as only-minority. give your minority character more action than just a token/idol). But when the movie tried to string all the random subplots into a cohesive movie, boy does it fall apart. The people responsible for the plot just don't have the chops to do it. So expect a cluster-f mess, predictable ending, and a deus ex machina to get from the mess to the ending.

This is basically Black Mirror with a psychopathic leaning, less censorship, and more artistic menageries. This would've been great if Lars von Trier offered more accuracy than the Netflix standard. I facepalm in this movie as much as I do in Black Mirror, so it's enjoyable only if you go in expecting B-movie.

The significance of this film is analogous to The Toy Story. It redefines the western perception of an animated feature. It fulfilled the "diversity" prerogative with artistic-integrity, originality, respectful and believable plot. It brilliantly introduced the audience into the fantastic Spiderverse. The long wait for silver screen debut of Miles Morales and Spidergwen was worth it. Franchise fatigue is only a thing if all you do is hire **** to leech it to death, instead of talented artists to breath life into the franchise.

I LAUGHED OUT LOUD during this movie. Some faces smirked at me, some was a bit annoyed. I can't help it! How am I supposed to know that a dumb gimmick is not a gag but we're supposed accept it as a realistic twist? The only redeeming value for this movie is to watch it on TV later with your friends as a "so bad that it's good" B-movie.

5 star for the visual, casting, acting, and sound. -5 star for the worse-then-jar-jar dialogue, self-contradicting continuity and shallow bullet-point characterization. I hope after all the greedy and political mofo milk this franchise to the bone and die, true star wars fans can take over and replace this garbage with the original canon. Jaina Solo and Mara Jade are vastly superior female protagonist than the random op girl (forgot the name... that's how bad the character is. lol) that poor Daisy Ridley is stuck with. Force Awaken was at least trying to create its own mythos... this one completely trashes everything including Force Awaken's story while adding nothing. Boycotting the last movie.

This is the right way to make a strong super heroine. You can be strong and confident without turning into a pseudo man. Strong man and woman don't make whining their #1 goal, so political undertone are artfully done and doesn't overwhelm the narrative. Action scenes are fun to watch. Suspenseful scenes are thrilling. Twists are entertaining (even if not shocking). Cute/Comedic scenes are funny. Ending was good and the way they gave her power to overcome the final boss was also smart. This is the new gold standard of an super heroine movie. I'd want my daughter to follow this wonder woman instead of most other "omg i'm a victim. i'm powerless, but anger and hatred give me strength. the force frees me and i will kill you all." lol

This movie teaches kids that they know better than their parents. Parents don't know what's good. Following their teenage heart to brave all danger toward exciting frontier is the way to go. It's -1 score if I was judging the movie by its educational value to young girls, but since I believe dumb people will do dumb things, movie or not, I give Moana an 8 because it's a beautifully rendered, sung, and acted Disney feature. Disney entertainment delivered what is expected of them.

The only blondie is an airhead. The white hair ones are either incompetent or evil. There is no shortage of bad things and plot holes, but the fantastic production outshines it all. The CG really turned Rowling's quriky monsters into Fantastic beasts, and the principle cast did a good job at making me care about their characters. Rowling's go-to-choice for a whimsical adventure with foreshadowing of greater plot is still here and it's good entertainment... if you just accept it for what it is... a kid's movie.

Jesse Eisenberg was a horrible casting choice. He turned all the charming bits into freakish and sexual-harassment. There is no sympathy for the Bobby character at the end because of this. Just a pathetic weirdo/loser and you wonder why do women even love him so. If the lead role was given to an actually charming actor, the movie would've worked much better.

Ugh. Reviewed wrong "ghostbuster." But reviewing the old movie from memory to replace the misplaced review. So 2nd ghostbuster has more horror element to it, and it was a good continuation. It definitely ran out of steam on the gimmick and the throwaway characters by the end of this movie. If ghostbuster had more enduring character like Constantine, it would've been a longer-living franchise.

An adorable movie that has a side effect of making you stupid if your views and knowledge of relationship and business become based on this movie. CEO is needed to replace a founder if the founder is a poor leader and decision maker. Getting COO and/or setting up a network of VP is how to "share the load." Also when a cheating wife is caught, she is supposed to say "it's because you're never home to satisfy my needs," not "my 'hood is injured and confused" lmao. Like how big explosions get you high score with some people, corny bs gets you high score with some other people.

CG is amazing. 7 star purely for the CG. If the CG wasn't so good, the acting, story and Music would take this to 2 star. I liked the original "I want to be like you," this version is very... offensive to the ears. Like someone tried too hard to mimic the old one but overacted. For story, they followed the skeleton of the original, but lost a lot of the charm and spirit of the original. The acting... well... just think anakin skywalker from phantom menance, but 100 times WORSE.

Pretty much everything you glimpsed from the trailer is exactly what you get. There is no surprises in the actual movie. Lex Luther is supposed to be the most refreshing villain in comic movie history because he always keeps his cool and is a perfect politician. But Jesse Eisenberg being the 1 trick pony, turned him into the typical weird nerdy genius that is in just about every other comic movie. If you don't know about the missed opportunity, think Little Finger from Game of Throne, but even smarter and more powerful. Every scene with Lex in this movie is a total disaster and the clash of ideology was watered down by the meddling. Another foolish thing is... they made batman have a anger tantrum... it's not just the trailer exaggerating. Batman really has just a stupid anger tantrum as teenage-immature as in the trailer. just facepalm all over. It's a reimagining of batman... that turn into crap. Batman's only unique "super power" was his near perfect control, planning and life-experience over all others. They took that away in this movie. This is especially important in Justice League situation. If every fricking character in Justice League is an emotional hot head who throws anger tantrum... well... it's going to turn into a sht mess and there is no longer character differences... just costume and power difference... that completely pales in comparison to why Marvel movies are good.
