An entertainment that’s as smart, witty, stylish and exhilarating as any movie lover could wish for. It’s tempting to call it the sort of movie they don’t make any more, but they didn’t make all that many way back when, because it’s really hard to pull off a production of such startling quality. If there’s a false note from start to finish I must have been laughing or gasping when it sounded.

The art of a cinematic murder mystery is to make the act of putting clues together seem suspenseful and worth watching. In the hands of Craig at his most gleeful, de Armas at her career best, and Johnson oozing love for the genre, Knives Out rises splendidly to the task.

Entre Facas e Segredos é um suspense inteligente e divertido, com roteiro afiado e cheio de reviravoltas. Even if Knives Out loses a micro-dose of its claustrophobia and tension in the second act, it’s in the name of undoing what we’ve come to expect of past whodunnit stories. It’s all part of what makes the film such an effective, entertaining, and contemporary spin on what’s no longer a worn-out genre.

Johnson’s own sleight of hand is estimable, even if his effort to add politics into the crowded mix rings hollow. The machine is what matters here, and he has clearly had such a good time engineering it that it’s hard not to feel bad when you don’t laugh along with him.

Convoluted but very **** plot twist is indeed very good, I found it sad that almost all the other characters were practically discarded in the 2nd/3rd act.I still don't know if the detective is a genius or an idiot, since he's played by the 007 actor, I imagine he's a genius.

The fantastic cast and impressive production quality of knives out are wasted away on the sub par 'who dunnit' plot with a weak sauce screenplay. There was nothing of substance to be found here and so I felt my time was ultimately wasted.
