Everything in the picture, from the characters’ clothes and hairstyles to the vessels they sail, bear the stamp of authenticity. But Moana’s greatest strength is the verve in which they move the action along and the sheer joyousness evident in every aspect of their storytelling.

Appealing equally to the eyes, ears, heart and funny bone, Moana represents contemporary Disney at its finest — a vibrantly rendered adventure that combines state-of-the-art CG animation with traditional storytelling and colorful characters, all enlivened by a terrific voice cast.

Some of the best movies by Disney - I would deem it superior to movies like Frozen. Examples of how great the movie is the casting with Auli'i Cravalho portraying Moana & the Rock portraying Maui (the only times a big star is worth being in the role). Also, the characters were brilliant with Moana following where her heart is going encouraged by her Grandma to save lands & Maui with tattoos coming to life, he was funny - yeah, it had funny moments. Another part of it is the songs which have motivation which you would love to sing along to - you know Lin Manuel Miranda is some of the best music makers in the movie industry. All the songs like "How Far I'll Go", "You're Welcome" & "Shiny" May be my favourite CGI Disney movie not by Pixar.

A very beautiful description of adventure that can teach us lessons which can change our lives permanently.
A movie about a fearless princess who gives all the energy she has and risks her life to help and save her people even though she knows that she still doesn't have all the skills she needs for this dangerous journey and she knows that she might not come back and she doesn't let that to stop her from doing what she must do.
If I'm going to rank all princess movie , This one would be definitely the third one on my list.

Moana 's great heart and great humor actively subvert the violent, egocentric, macho mind-set that dominates so many popular stories. It can hardly be expected to change prevailing attitudes on its own. But it’s a start.

The moral of Moana is that playing it safe can have its limits. It’s hard not to agree, even when this lovely, reassuring hug of a movie doesn’t entirely heed its own advice.

Moana is an entertaining and worthy way to close Disney’s 2016 animated roster.

Moana does what it does so well that you wish its makers had imbued it with some X factor that separates the classics from the merely beloved.

Its cultural setting is fresh; its storytelling, less so. It navigates the reefs but it doesn’t discover a whole new world.

The story in this Movie is just great. It's really interesting how Moana is the chosen one by the ocean and has to go on this interesting mission before her island is destroyed.

This movie is below average, it has some good animation but thats about the end of whats good. The story, plot, music, characters are all bad and overall its not one I would recommend.

I don't understand how this has been positively **** has some catchy songs but is rife post colonial messaging and modern ****'s also egregiously paced and poorly written, not knowing what do with the tone. Disney writers forget that "the genie" from Aladdin could break 4th wall dialect because he's a genie. This film also suffered from a lack of development of the villain. It appears and is resolved very basically and in an eye wateringly slow and boring sequence. This film is not as good as people say/think. Time will tell.

OVERRATED! Great! animations with weak story! if you know Aladdin and Lion king this is nothing like that. This feels boring and not good at all. And the music is bad. except for 2 songs. the crab song and moanas song that they HAD to play 3 times to fill out with.
