Dungeon Siege III6

A very simplistic, yet strangely addictive game. It's nothing compared to DS 1 and 2, but if you can get this game for a good price, you can sink about 10 hours into the campaign.

Duke Nukem Forever7
Oct 1, 2012
Doesn't deserve all the **** it gets. I played the old Duke Nukem games, and I can say this game still has the old Duke style when it comes to character. This is what you SHOULD'VE expected a new Duke game to be, and though it's technically lacking, everything works fine and this game keept me entertained the whole playthrough.

What an amazing 2D platformer. It's just plain fun and good vibes. The animation and controls are PERFECT, though the game lacks a good story/motive and could've done with online co-op.

God of War III6
Oct 1, 2012
Sure, it looks and sounds amazing but I just think this is a really poor action game. The combat is dull, no matter how amazing it looks. The camera is really quite frustrating and I just don't care for the story. A very overhyped, but very mediocre action game.

Binary Domain8
Oct 1, 2012
A excellent third person shooter. Though it looks generic and mediocre at first glance, it has a lot of things which sets it apart from other third person shooters. The 'trust' system is a great addition to the genre, the story is brilliant and shooting robots never gets old.

Sly 2: Band of Thieves7

Great characters, a fun plot and very diverse gameplay. The graphical style is nice, boss battles are also great but the game doesn't really know what it wants to be.

PES 2010 was showing its age when it just came out. Very outdated and poor animations, poor AI, but it still feels like the real thing. Menus and modes are great.

Resident Evil 4 HD8

Still the best RE game to date. Visuals are still amazing, and this HD version comes with the Seperate Ways campaign, which is great. Could've done with a lesser pricetag though, Capcom are greedy nowadays.

I Am Alive4

The game sounds great on paper, but the game just feels very unpolished. Combat is interesting, but the controls are poor, the visuals are sub-par and it just doesn't have anything good to offer.
PlayStation 3

Grand Theft Auto IV8
May 11, 2012
While technically stunning for the time, it just doesn't have that oldskool GTA feel to it. Story and characters are interesting, but the game just takes itself too seriously. The city is bland and generic. The multiplayer is boring (you're better off playing Multi Theft Auto for PC, which supports up to 200 players), the soundtrack is way worse that those of previous installments, but overall the game is still good. It's like with the newer Final Fantasy games: they're good in their own right, but just poor installments in the series.
PlayStation 3

Final Fantasy XIII-28
May 11, 2012
Better than XIII in most ways. I like the fact you can explore a lot more, but it has to be done through a cenrtal HUB, which really takes away the feeling of exploration and adventure. The story is lacking, but Caius is a great villian. Combat is pretty much the same as in XIII, but the monster collecting is fun.
The soundtrack is... different from the rest in the series, but I liked it.

Final Fantasy XIII8
May 11, 2012
A great JRPG, a terrible Final Fantasy game. Very linear, poor and confusing story, easy combat. Soundtrack and graphics are good. It's the worst Final Fantasy I've played to date, but... it's still a good game with high production values.

Dark Souls10
May 11, 2012
This game is as hard as it is amazing. Awesome and deep combat, great bosses, a great art style and very, very rewarding. Difficulty may turn some people off, and the camera can be annoying at times. Everybody looking for a challenge should play this.

Awful, awful hitboxes, poor sound design, and unbalanced gameplay make this a very poor FPS. It's free, but not worth your bandwith. A typical poor Counter-Strike ripoff.

Team Fortress 28

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance8
Apr 10, 2012
A great game, but my least favorite Metal Gear. The story is, of course, amazing, and should be your main reason to play this. Controls feel awkward at times but they work fine, graphics look good but the environments are dull and repetitive. Boss fights aren't as great as in MGS1 or 3, but their personalities are interesting. The extras in this version aren't all that interesting, but this is still the superior version of MGS2. A must have for any MGS or stealth-action fan.
PlayStation 2

Fallout 39
Apr 10, 2012
Despite the technical issues, this is still my favorite game of this generation. An interesting story, an amazing atmosphere, great music, great characters, great quests. This post-apocalyptic world will keep you hooked for hours. It has quite a few bugs, even after the many updates, and the visuals aren't anything special. You can certainly feel in every way this was made for the PC, but that shouldn't keep you from playing this.
PlayStation 3

L.A. Noire8
Apr 10, 2012
There are some idiots who expected this to be GTA or Red Dead. Well, it's definetly not. Most cases are interesting, the plot takes some great twists and turns, and the revolutionary face-animation is really quite amazing. There are some issues with the game though. Some characters don't get the attention they deserve and controlling Cole, the main character, can feel awkward and make it difficult to inspect certain clues.
It also has a pretty good soundtrack. This game isn't for everyone, but if you want a good story, check this game out.

Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money7

The story is fairly interesting, the characters are great and the way you have to play it is interesting and intense. The new weapons and gear aren't that interesting, but this is definetly worth checking out.

Carmen Sandiego: The Secret of the Stolen Drums4

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent7

Mafia II7

The great story will keep you hooked, but once you finished the game, the empty world and mediocre gameplay probably won't want you to play through it again. It has a good setting and some great music too.
PlayStation 3

Enchanted Arms6
Apr 9, 2012
A rather generic JRPG with some potential. Graphics are by far the worst I've seen of this generation, the story is cheesy and the voice acting is awful. Yet the combat is fun (thought somewhat repetitive) and the game has a certain charm. It's worth checking out, but don't expect a great adventure.
PlayStation 3

Fallout: New Vegas8
Apr 9, 2012
While not as good and atmospheric as Fallout 3, it still delivers a lot of great content to keep you playing for hours. The main story is pretty weak, but the combat and companion system have been tweaked. Worth checking out if you loved Fallout 3, but don't expect too much change in gameplay and graphics.

Battle: Los Angeles3
Apr 6, 2012
If you take more than 30 minutes to finish this game, then you're really bad at it. Yes, it is that short. Visuals and audio are very weak, and it feels like a really poor CoD ripoff with aliens in it. Yeah, a typical movie-licensed game. Not even worth the 10 bucks.
PlayStation 3
Apr 5, 2012
Mass Effect 27
Apr 5, 2012
Overrated game. A poor 3rd-person shooter with some poor RPG elements. Movement and combat feels awkward, but the soundtrack, graphics, conversations and voice acting are great. High production value but poor combat and not an RPG for those who like the oldschool stuff.
PlayStation 3

Vanquish9
Apr 5, 2012
Shinji Mikami proves to be a genius once more. This is the best 3rd person shooter of all time. It doesn't have a good story and you can finish it in 6 to 8 hours, but the controls are so smooth, the action is simply breathtaking, and it looks very polished. Not worth a full price, but pick this up. This is, or at least should be, the next generation of shooters.
PlayStation 3
Apr 5, 2012
Deus Ex: Human Revolution7
Apr 5, 2012
It has a great art style, but mixed gameplay. Stealth works just okay, but the shooting is really bad. There really isn't a lot to do in the amazingly well-crafted towns, but the sidequests which are available are fun and have good story.
PlayStation 3

Borderlands7
Apr 5, 2012
It's very addictive, has LOADS of guns and other equipment, but the world is pretty boring and the quests are often tedious. Co-op is fun, RPG elements work well, and it has some great DLC. Check this out if you want a different type of shooter.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger8
Apr 5, 2012
My favorite fighting game. Very friendly for beginners, if you like the anime style. A good story, great soundtrack and gorgeous animation and character design. The online mode isn't all that good, all you can play are ranked and player matches. Pick this up if you like fighting games, anime, or the Guilty Gear games.

Apr 5, 2012
This game was an instant classic when it was released in 2008. A unique, gorgeous world, a gripping and well-paced story, an eerie vibe, and a great old jazzy soundtrack.Gunplay isn't great and there's not a lot of replay value, but this is a game everyone has to experience.
PlayStation 3

Beyond Good & Evil8
Apr 5, 2012
A cult classic. Still one of the most original and underrated games. It delivers a great story, fun quests and a lot of content. The soundtrack is amazing and the graphics are still pretty good. Sneaking can still be frustrating and combat isn't very challenging or rewarding. Get this game now if you haven't played it.

Apr 4, 2012
Technically? Bad. Voice acting? Awful. Story? Let's not even talk about it. But this game is worth playing. It's controversial fun. Set people on fire, kick around their dead bodies before pissing on them. If you can't look past the technical issues, you're not playing this game the right way.

Age of Empires III7

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection8
Apr 4, 2012
Still one of the best Final Fantasy games. The improved music still sounds great, the graphics have been enhanced, but the extra stuff just isn't that good. It provides some backstory, but that's it, really.
PSP
Apr 4, 2012
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII8
Apr 4, 2012
Most importantly, this game stays true to the original. Seeing Midgar like this is very nostalgic and it's represented like it should be. Technically it's great, the story is great, the music is a mix of the original themes and hard rock.
The extra missions are boring and not very rewarding, and some new characters are hit or miss. A must-have for anyone looking for a great PSP game and a worthy prequel to a legendary game.
PSP
Apr 4, 2012
Half-Minute Hero7
Apr 4, 2012
Fun concept which works well, but just isn't very fun to play for a long time. The graphics are nostalgic and look sharp, the music is great and the game really urges you to clear quests as quickly as possible. It gets repetitive fast, especially since there are no temporary upgrades, but you should check it out.
PSP
Apr 4, 2012
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection9
Apr 4, 2012
The best versions of the best games from a legendary franchise. MGS2's plot still amazes me, but the controls feel outdated.
MGS3's free camera from the Subsistence release really makes the game a lot better, but it's a shame they didn't include the original Metal Gear Online.
Peace Walker's first 4 chapters are great but the last (which you play after the initial credits) is very, very weak. Co-op works well and the multiplayer is fun, and you can play this for dozens of hour, unlocking challenging missions and getting better scores. This is the best collection money can buy.
PlayStation 3
Apr 4, 2012
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable7
Apr 4, 2012
Persona 3 Portable is obviously inferior to the original, but still looks and plays very good on the PSP. Combat is simple, characters are original and interesting, but the battles are still repetitive and get boring after a while. Fun to play from time to time, a solid JRPG.
PSP
Apr 4, 2012
Just Cause 28
Apr 4, 2012
Just Cause 2 is madness. Pure madness. You can jump onto a flying helicopter, take control of it, then jump into a jet fighter to land onto a huge disco in midair. A disco zeppelin, that is. Story is pretty much non-existent and some sidequests get repetitive, but the engine and visuals are great. You can do pretty much anything in this game.
PlayStation 3
Apr 4, 2012
XIII8
Apr 4, 2012
A unique game. Not when it comes to gameplay, but the style is refreshing and fun. Story is good, characters are interesting and level design is great.
Solid gameplay and a nice 'comic book' presentation make for an exciting FPS adventure. Also, local splitscreen is a lot of fun.
GameCube
Apr 4, 2012
Final Fantasy IX10
Apr 4, 2012
The definitive Final Fantasy game. It has good story, very likeable characters, great gameplay-mechanics, amazing graphics and an even more amazing soundtrack.
Unlike VII and VIII, it's doesn't have a futuristic style, but takes a lot from the old games. Once again there's castles, character-specific classes, and crystals. This old style is realized very well in 3D, for the first time. This is the best game to start with if you're new to the franchise, because it has the best of everything this series has to offer.
PlayStation
Apr 4, 2012
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas10
Apr 4, 2012
A perfect game? I'd say so. A great world with a lot of variety, a good story, good characters and an *amazing* soundtrack. Fun easter eggs, typical GTA-humour, fairly deep character customization, the many vehicles and weapons, and the many activities will keep you coming back for more.
PlayStation 2
Apr 4, 2012
Star Ocean: The Last Hope8
Apr 4, 2012
A solid JRPG. Fun and dynamic combat, good level design and a great soundtrack are what make this game great. Story isn't all that interesting, characters are as generic as they can be, but the graphics are great. Some animations are somewhat strange, but in battle they look flashy and good. Pick this up if you want to sink quite some time into a good JRPG.
PlayStation 3
