Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

While a true sense of 'evolution' may be in short supply, Pro Evolution 2010 remains nothing short of a convincing return to form for Konami thanks to streamlined presentation, unpredictable gameplay, intuitive tactical planning, consistently variable challenge and a much-improved online service.

It’s tough to say which is better, Pro Evolution or FIFA, given that the former has more depth while the latter comes off as the sexier experience.

Though the mode on hand are all old hat, they've been greatly refined. The online experience in particular is vastly improved.

PES 2010 is a fast paced and frantic football game and while it lacks the polish of FIFA it's still great fun to play.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is heading back into the right direction, but there's not a lot of progress yet again. It still faces a few problems and its competition, Fifa, is running away. Fans will definitely enjoy this game, but the regular football lover will probably be better off with Fifa.

PES 2010 may not have been able to topple FIFA as the leading football game but it’s clear the series is getting back on track and obvious improvements have been made over last years game.

Five years on from what was arguably the series' peak there has been no substantial development and no willingness to reflect the ambition of its own title - something we cannot abide. [Dec 2009, p.105]

Es el más divertido de jugar, lo más parecido a PES 6. Nada que ver a lo que es PES 2013, 2 estilos de juegos muy distintos. Para mí pes 2013, es superior en casi todo, pero la estética que tiene PES 2010 y lo divertido y fácil de jugar es superior. Cabe destacar que al igual que pes 6 ,los menús son muy rápidos y prácticos, lo que hace que a la experiencia mucho mejor. El soundtrack si no es el mejor, pega en el palo, 10/10. Si tendría que criticarle algo sería el liga master, muy verde, el césped , poca cantidad de estadios y licencias (FIFA de ese entonces le pasaba el trapo en ese aspecto)

Aunque supera a su antecesor (Pro Evolution Soccer 2009) se queda muy atrás de su senda y de su lucha contra Fifa, perdiendo claramente este año, decepcionante tanto para seguidores poco fieles, como para los mas fieles de la saga, un juego para olvidar, Konami dejaba asi claramente que su reinado en Playstation 3 quedaba lejos, no como en Playstation 2, una lastima, porque el juego prometía incluso a los menos optimistas...pero no valía lo suficiente...

PES 2010 was showing its age when it just came out. Very outdated and poor animations, poor AI, but it still feels like the real thing. Menus and modes are great.

Pro Evo 2010 is awful for many reasons. Its only saving grace is the moderately simple menus, quality graphics and the soundtrack. The game play itself is nothing short of dreadful. The through balls are inaccurate, the player positioning doesn't make sense, your own players run into each other and cause you to lose the ball, players at times will not come to a high ball to contest it (particularly goal kicks) instead standing back and allowing the opposition to assume possession, the overly complicated button requirements to take free kicks, the fact that you cant move on a 360 angle rather there is only a rigid 8 angle axis. the slow nature in which goalkeepers release the ball from their hands, the apparent lack of control professional player have of the ball, the fact that it at time will deliver the ball in the opposite direction that you are pushing and on and on. The point is, although Fifa has its faults, it is in every way superior to this game.
