Inventive, original, whimsical, and fun as shit. Excepting some minor control hiccups, it's nearly the perfect platformer. If you think for one second that time has passed the platformer by, give Rayman: Origins a chance to prove you dead wrong, because it absolutely will.

At a time when games seem to offer a whole lot of everything, Rayman Origins stays focused on pure platforming pleasure, and it delivers. Yes, it can be too tough for some, but we're betting even the more casual players will soon find themselves hopelessly addicted to the finely tuned challenges on offer here.

There's a ton of content here; enough that the forced repetition of old levels could have been avoided.

An addicting platform game that brings a fresh air of the olden days proving how much the gaming environment and the video game industry are constantly changing when compared to genres of the other rival companies. An imaginative and beautiful and witty and dynamical game… what more do we want? Just, for god's sake, can somebody explain to me why there is no internet multiplayer?

sabe quando você se pergunta "e se os produtores de um jogo tiverem total liberdade criativa e capacidade para fazer um jogo?", então esse jogo é a resposta, gameplay limpa, gostosa, divertida gráfico parecendo que saiu literal de um papel o jogo, criatividade para fases muito grande, musicas impecáveis, encontro somente duas desvantagems desse jogo: 1; se você é cego ou surdo você só pode chorar 2; fases d'água Mas mesmo no aspecto 2, esse jogo eu digo que tem as melhores fases d'água que qualquer jogo de plataforma, não indico para pessoas com problemas de sono, pois eu que não tenho problema nenhum de sono fico sem dormir por uns 2 dias depois que jogo esse jogo de vontade de ir para meu xbox jogar, então devo imaginar o que acontece com pessoas com problemas de insônia. Bônus : para pessoas que jogaram a continuação desse jogo aqui recomendo, jogar esse jogo aqui e re-pensar em suas escolhas de vida de não ter pensado em abrir este jogo, por mim esse jogo ganha de qualquer jogo plataforma 2d ou 3d, exceto por mineirinho que já está em um outro plano astral então, em meios normais e acessíveis de compreensão nem tentemos comparar algo tão grande como mineirinho com um mero átomo de Oxigênio chamado Rayman

La verdad parece para niños pero es un juego bastante exigente pasando la mitad del juego, No tiene muchas mecánicas, pero si requiere precisión y reflejos mas si quieres conseguir sacar todos logros, muy buen juego historia muy mediocre pero la jugabilidad lo compensa bastante, musica, sonido y gráficos muy buenos

I am not really sure what to think of this game. I was so delighted when I first played it but after a few levels I got bored of the beautiful levels and the different art style. It felt overly simple and was only complicated through adding situations that required precise timing. It no longer was about how good I was at multitasking, it was about how good I was at controlling one or so aspects with exact timing. Perhaps I can chalk this one up to hand coordination practice as even after I came back to it I felt the same way. The only time I truly had a good time playing was in co-op mode. Rayman's story is innocent and in a time where every game seems to have a ridiculous plot it felt out of place but welcomed. Its happy characters, upbeat music, and its overall cheerfully goofy nature was unlike any game I can remember playing. It was stupid for the sake of being stupid and now walking away from it I am extremely pleased with my experience with it. Certain aspects frustrated me (granted it was usually my failures), but those are what will ultimately drive me to never play this game again by myself. My annoyance with Rayman: Origins was reduced as it is the first game I have been able to get my girlfriend to play with me. A good experience but seemingly forgettable.

after playing rayman legends and beating the game I decided to explore the rayman world a little more and picked up rayman origins. I really love legends because it is so smooth to play. there was no lag between controller and screenand extremely challenging in some areas. although origins is also challenging the control scheme does not match what happens on screen and a lot of times you feel like you failed at no fault of your own. you have to unlock abilities in early levels instead of having them like you should in the beginning and that felt poor and pointless to have levels without all your skills available. keep this out of your childs hands also as it will be far to challenging for them.

Truly an overrated game. Sure, it's one of the best looking games out there, and has an amazing soundtrack too, but the floaty controls, occasional camera glitches and insane difficulty ramp up near the end pretty much makes this game incredibly frustrating and at the price of a full retail game, it's just not worth it.
