Interesting concept, puzzle action game that doesn't hold your hand. Great, I'm in. Love the puzzles and the lack of way points and map markers. But I don't care about returning litte Maisy Blue's pocket protector when the combat is monotonous garbage, the boss fights aren't difficult, they're boring. Chase a glowing green gem about for 15mins and hack at the same inanimate objects. When you die out of boredeon or the camera is for **** and the physics are stupid, (Why do walls exists only for the player character?) you have zero interest in the mundane repetition. There's also a superfluous colour coded gem upgrade system. That is about all I know, or care about what it does. Additionally I could give two f*cks what that fat neck pr*ck has to say after hearing the same tripe prerecorded death screen again and again and again. Cut the combat, charge half the price.

Was this game made by blind children that have only heard rugby being played on the radio? Can someone please forgo the outrageous licensing fees and use the budget to hire people that know how to make a solid rugby game?! I think it's fair to say we'd enjoy Arnold Savloy and the Semi blacks take on the White Roses with Mario Itegi if the gameplay didn't make you want to gag.

What an absolute waste of time. Running from mindless mini game to mini game padding out the run time with consistent repetitive filler, each more egregious than the last with the over-arching pretense of "retelling" an unimportant story that was already told 20 years ago. Combat is woefully boring, either overcomplicated or oversimplified either works to stumble through each repetitive encounter, until it's not. Plenty of polish, graphics are great, there's just no substance.

Create a useless Activision account, restart the game, select multiplayer, go home, restart the game, end up in a different menu for Call of Duty online, be asked to buy a different game, close the game, open the game, select the campaign, restart the game. Go to shoot someone, instead a drive a car or sneak through a mansion. In their years of copy and paste trying to get more players to pay for loot boxes they've diluted whatmade these games fun. But, and, oh boy, is it a big but, you want me to grind through meaningless paths of stupid battles with multiple opponents and the most annoying squirrel with a chainsaw for what now, consumable buffs? ****. What severely undermines ANY positive this game had, is the egregious, predatory, plentiful microtransactions scattered throughout the meagre offering they give you that isn't tainted by them. Oh good, after grinding for hours you receive, a slight colour palette swap for the useless kostume (sic) that you don't like anyway. Here's to the next 3 hours. Yes. In a world where time for video games is at a premium this really scratched my itch. No meaningless fetch quests, or multitude of collect-a-thons, just an adventure, with a solid story, and fun gamplay that rewards exploration. Also, I'm Indiana Jones. The maps remind me of Hitman but less daunting, everything circles back around once you've unlocked it, like a 3d metrodvania, but without the power-up unlocks. Sure, the combat is simple, but it's the choice to scale up that keeps the immersion fresh, starting with stealth but, if you're caught, opting for melee, then a gun if it gets dire really makes you feel a part of the story as opposed to a game over screen if you stub your toe. Sitting here, at work, writing a review for a game I can't wait to get back to is a rare thing. This one is for me.

So much of this game was needlessly repeated. Whether it's unclear what you're supposed to do, an input error, or you barely touch the side of a spike, you die and have to repeat the same mundane section ad nauseum. Long boss sections are the worst as you can't save, you need to be perfect, and you have no clue what's next. Repeating the same tired **** until you learn some meaningless path that ultimately makes me care very little about the story. At least allow me to skip the cut scenes when you pull this crap. Fairly certain there's a fun game in here somewhere. Parkour feels a bit janky, combat is so so, just feels over complicated and doesn't quite stick the landing. I mean, so much bloat with collectibles, and what's with having to click, but sometimes hold, but, sometimes tap square to pick up all this junk. Wouldn't need so much junk if the weapons lasted longer than 15 minutes. Remind me, how many zombie trophies does it take to sharpen a sword again? What's really fun is losing a whole nights worth of XP because some random yahoo can one-shot you through a wall or the paraglider machine fails mid flight. Really fun mechanic. Also, you gave to love that the sou d of the game will just crash, leaving only Crane 2's grunts and groans. Finally, I'm sure they thought adding the timer would add tension but it just removes fun AND strategy as you're running back and forth to **** UV lights needlessly. There are "rewarding hard" games and "annoying hard" games. This falls firmly in the latter. I remember the original, from a different era, when games had to be creative with their design to keep people plunking in coins. Technically constrained and graphically limited. I'd still rather play that than this. They could have modernised the concept while staying true to the original, instead, they've polished a turd. Play Salt & Sanctuary/Sacrifice if you're looking to scratch that particular itch.

Interesting concept, good detective gameplay (if a little "brute-force-able") good atmosphere, weird engaging, if predicable, story but the combat is just awful. **** atrocious. Auto switching to unselected useless items, terrible UI, the camera is abysmal, and the mechanics fail 80% of the time. It's not a type of hard that aids the horror story, it's a frustratingly bad experience, where enemies will ignore a shotgun blast to the face yet you will fall to the floor with the slightest breeze and never get up again. One particular lake-side fight saves you AFTER the fight has begun, and you don't have time to change out your inventory to try again with something a little more helpful. So, if you've no free spaces you can't even run by a crate and collect new items because your **** inventory is already full of health packs you don't have time to use and flares the NPCs already provide. **** this combat. It's immersion breaking and ruins entire sections of the game as you have to listen to the same terrible dialogue again and again. Finally, fix the glitches that keep me from exiting out of clues. So annoying that randomly the only option, after looking at another pointless clue, is to reload the game, especially when the last save was prior to an equally as annoying combat section as mentioned above. Don't worry though, you won't **** see any of this as the camera decided to lock onto the **** ground or the roof during this whole ordeal. Maybe next time I'll lock onto the enemy instead of spinning either 90 or 180 degrees in the opposite direction. Before I start, I enjoyed it, but, there's one reason it's not a higher score. All these years I thoughy Souls-like games were hard because of AI, level design and thoughtful planning. If I'd known it was just **** input responses I'd have tried these years ago. **** is designed to punish you for dying wouldn't you want the controls to be as responsive as possible? Press Circle to roll, it may work, or maybe it won't, press it again though and you'll undoubtedly roll off a **** cliff. Want to lock onto that enemy that is clear as day from a ranged position, not a hope, but get close and you'll click on and off 5 times before firing your spell over his stupid head as he plants his sword in your kidney. Want to block, that's sometimes R1, but not all the time, what about heal, press Square, but, it won't actually begin the drink flask animation until you've pressed Square again repeatedly and, of course, only after the enemy has begun it's ridiculous wind up attack to knock your chin out of the park in one shot. It's seriously telling that I can't remember one boss fight without edges to fall from, not because their wasn't any, it's because they were unmemorable and over quickly. Not hard. Just frustrating. Small wonder why this game garners so much frustration, the fan base remains niche and controllers are so expensive. It's an unfathomable difficult game and that's the point, BUT, when cheesy knights throw a halberd through a solid wall to kill you with a blow that would otherwise glance off your shield while you're on the way back to collecting your lost 20k souls it's when you question "is this game difficult because of the gameplay or the glitches?" Replace Knight with whatever monstrosity, replace halberd with whatever bent piece of metal that serves as a weapon and replace solid wall with a cliff or trap etc. Repeat a thousand times with long boring walks in between each death and you come close to how annoying this is. Later games have polished the formula but this slow moving slog can stay firmly in the past as remembrance for controllers lost.

It's fine, not as fun as Lomu was, unpolished gameplay with a few, not all, licenced players that you can't really fault given the assumed low budget. Can't fault the energy though, just the dynamism of it all... But, it's the choices the devopers made that make this a poor game. Subbing players is a pain, scrolling through everyone rather than jumping to the appropriate available player in that position and what the actual hell is up with the "booster pack" system?! These astoundingly poor, undervalued, loot-boxes are such a poor way to slowly reveal players for your created team that, unsuccessfully, tries to keep you engaged with the poor gameplay, but so are so expensive it instead results in the exact opposite of its intended goal.

At least they added fast travel and removed most of the slippery slides, but they replaced them with generic palette swap mounts and those terrible glider birds that sometimes go where you need them to, and sometimes just fall achingly short regardless of how many times you pitch up. These are even more frustrating when added to unskippable traversal sections that you sometimes require a double jump to, sometimes double jump leads you to your death, really consistent... Those terrible 'Jedi Rift' traversal mini-game levels - skip. Also, here's an idea, when fighting a Boss that has multiple pointless and boring cut-scenes throughout, maybe keep auto-lock on? Cyberpunk Dark Souls this is not. Clunky. Finicky body part targeting and a camera that loves tight corridors & the back of the characters head... and yet somehow they both share the same controller mapping... The ideas are fine, if poorly executed, but the boring aesthetic, story, and minimal & timed resources offered makes for very tedious repetition. Even running past the monotonous enemies proves impossible as the tight hallways and the lack of an accurate dodge function lead to needless one-hit frustration or the animations leaving you sailing off a cliff. (I do love that a hulking Brute with a ten-tonne hammer can make a u-turn mid air but I still can't dodge the same attacks of the same legs of the same robot bosses despite the direction I chose because the camera has a mind of it's own) Hopefully the sequel improved upon these issues because I'm giving up on this one, around about the time they introduced the 'trial of tedium' where you fight the same alternating bosses from earlier in the game like 5 times. It's a colourful Marvel-themed match 3. Collect Hero's for $. This is the only Pro. Cons; - Obvious & blatant loot-box microtransactions. The twist is they give you SO many free characters but the ONLY way to add them to your roster is to spend real money, at an ever-increasing price, despicable Designed for you to keep spending money on literally nothing. - Second are the 'battles.' Unblockable attacks from foes through countdown tiles. Unblockable because it's random colour allocation and its impossible to match those tiles. Makes this match 3 even more frustrating because you lose a 5min battle due to unchangeable events you can see coming multiple moves ahead. - The 'purple' currency is useless. Hundreds of thousands accumulated in minutes and you can't trade it for anything. - The subsequent 5 currencies are there to stimulate substance but don't offer anything but confusion and more useless crap to spend real money on. - Random inexplicable scenarios happen when no matter what colours you match you inflict 1 point of damage. Irrevocably ruining the match because your opponent is still wreaking havoc. This "game" is indicative of the abhorrent direction that mobile games are headed in and the more people that support this 'gambling for kids' the worse it'll get. Avoid like the plague
