The fights are very specific, tactical and surprisingly fun and often challenging, even knowing that a fallen hero can be put back on his feet on the spot during a fight and used in the rest of the encounter. [Issue#324]

In spite of its technical issues, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an easy recommendation to strategy and superhero fans or anyone who’s been missing the more traditional BioWare experience. Its tactical combat stands out in the genre and is consistently compelling. The plot is no great shakes but the characters are excellent renditions of decades-old favorites. It’s also a well-paced game, never getting bogged down in any one form of play for too long but free-form enough to allow for players to do that if they wish. Not only is Midnight Suns a great Marvel game, it’s a great game in its own right.

While I wasn’t really sold on Marvel’s Midnight Suns pre-release, it has continued to impress me more as I played through the story, and it is chock full of a ton of optional content that will keep you busy for a very long time. It wasn’t a great experience around launch on PC, but Marvel’s Midnight Suns is well worth your time right now, and a joy to play on Steam Deck. It already felt like a perfect fit for Steam Deck from the start, and it has finally been fixed for Valve’s portable system with a recent update.

É um dos melhores jogos da Marvel. Os personagens são bem únicos, as habilidades se complementam bem. Você consegue montar centenas de combos diferentes. É muito divertido. Uma pena não ter feito tanto sucesso.

The voice acting and character models is horrendous. The forced story doesn't help either. Adding the deck building system was unnecessary. It just messed up the flow of combat. A game similar to this would be Arc The Lad Twilight Spirits, and it played way better than this. Also the game has too much anti-consumer practices. If you are a marvel fan, you will probably love this.

Marvel's Midnight Suns offers a surprisingly complete experience, going above and beyond what you're used to in XCOM-esque tactics games. From the dynamic card combat system, robust customization options, and hilarious banter with teammates to the fact that you've got a fully explorable hub with secrets, it's got everything you could ever want and then some.

At the end of the day, it is a video game that is worth it, as long as you keep in mind that it is a turn-based tactics genre that is gradually becoming more popular thanks to how much fun it can be today. And if that's paired with Marvel characters, it's clear fans will want to check it out.

I didn't know what to expect from this game, as I never played anything like that before. But then I bought it on promotion, as I love Marvel comics and movies. And what a surprise it was! This game is amazing! Story, gameplay, various characters! Soooo good! You really feel that every character plays differently and it's so enjoyable! It's a real pity we will never have a sequel to that.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a lot of character and base building built into a unique deck building Strategy RPG. There are some story pieces that just aren’t entirely enthralling, and you may find the exploration to be lacking. What Midnight Suns does happen to do exceptionally well, is provide a purely satisfying strategy game, once you wade through all of the monotonous upgrades to get you to the combat. With plenty of characters to unlock, and multiple difficulty levels to amp up the strategy required, this is one of the best Marvel games to release in years. The best part is, whether you’re a Marvel fan, or you’re just a strategy buff, Midnight Suns delivers. Do not make the mistake of passing on this one.

It’s kind of brave of Firaxis not to just give us XCOM with an asset swap. Midnight Suns is its own thing, combining strategy and soap opera in a nod toward Japanese battle tactics games and the underlying frivolity of the Marvel universe. One thing Firaxis certainly hasn’t done is dumb down turn-based strategy for incoming comic book fans. This is a hugely challenging game, with dozens of hours of play and a narrative that wants to say interesting things about family, identity and sacrifice. Sometimes, it even manages it.

Marvel's Midnight Suns shines brightly in a year full of excellent strategy RPGs thanks to a heartfelt love for the license, and a huge roster of fantastically realized characters to go along with a unique card-based battle system...While there's definitely some filler to be found within the walls of the Abbey, this is an interesting new take on Marvel's mystical side, and one I can't wait to see more of.

Midnight Suns isn't worth your time. The everyday "life sim" aspect ruins the game and keeps you from the combat - its only truly entertaining part. Locking the gameplay in the day loop forces you to wait, preventing you from having fun.

I love the card based, turn based combat. The story is cool and getting to know all the characters is fun. You can always read the subtitles and skip but the voice acting is great. This is one of the few games I have ever played to 100% because I was that invested in every aspect. If you like any turn based rpg I recommend it. Quick day to night cycle. Small open world to explore. So much cool marvel lore. Great graphics. I could go on, bur I won't, bur I should. Give it a shot.

This game is like a bunch of half good/half bad things, but way too tedious. I like the general idea of having some heroes needing to be positioned on a map, and then lining up shots so you can do tons of damage. The deck building is not half bad either. When it gets to customization however, it's really awful. There are lots of limits on how many of each "type" of card you can have per hero. There are not that many cards to chose from. Your hand size is pretty small. Your deck size is pretty small. If you draw a terrible hand, you may as well start over, because you are not going to get a high mission score. On top of all of this, there are really dumb optional extras, which are worse then they are better. You can build relationships, which gives you bonuses in combat, but doing so is SUPER freaking tedious, requires running around a map looking for random junk that you need because "reasons", and then crafting stuff. You also have this ridiculous day/nigh mode, which in theory could be good, but in reality was tedious. You can't do "upgrades" at night, you can "build relationship" during the day. You have to go to bed because you can't just do another mission, which just wastes time being forced to sit though extra loading scenes. And then the worst part of the game is that it is SO SLOW. This is not a high graphics game, and should not be so glitchy. I can play almost any modern game online multiplayer at 60fps, and this game constantly drops to 20fps randomly. After running about 20 missions, I just gave up. There is potential here, but overall it's just not good.
