A slightly frantic family movie about a talkative girl-obsessed dad. The subatomic setting had potential but felt rushed, and the much-anticipated Kang exited far too weakly.241205 (2.0)This film feels more like "Kang and the Pyms" featuring a touch of *Rick and Morty* than a true Ant-Man and the Wasp sequel. Scott Lang, now a celebrity author enjoying his post-Endgame retirement, is a stark contrast to his family who are still deep into research. His teenage daughter, Cassie, has become a self-taught quantum expert and a righteous social activist, often landing in jail for her causes. When her secret signal device pulls the entire family into the "Secret Universe" of the Quantum Realm, we are introduced to a subatomic world led by the warrior Jentorra. The core conflict involves Janet’s past with Kang the Conqueror, a stranded traveler she once helped before realizing his true nature as a multiversal destroyer exiled by the Council of Kangs. Janet’s history in the realm, including her complicated ties with Lord Krylar, adds weight, though some character choices felt unnecessary. The visual language of Kang’s technology mirrors the ancient patterns seen in *Eternals*, *Ms. Marvel*, and *Shang-Chi*, hinting at a deeper connection. Meanwhile, the return of Darren Cross as the grotesquely designed M.O.D.O.K. provides a weird mix of horror and comedy, though his redemptive arc feels like a brief, "sick" joke before his exit. The climax relies heavily on Deus Ex Machina, as Hank’s ants—having evolved through thousands of years of time dilation—arrive to dismantle Kang’s empire. For a villain built up to be a multiversal threat, seeing him defeated by a five-year self-taught Cassie and a giant Ant-Man felt underwhelming. The "probability storm" sequence offered a clever look at Schrodinger’s choices, but the resolution was hasty. While Scott and Hope are briefly trapped before Cassie opens a portal to bring them home, the overarching threat of the Council of Kangs looms—though behind-the-scenes legal issues with the actor make the future of this storyline uncertain.

A completely nonsensical CGI-fest! Completely silly in almost every respect, it's strangely watchable! The acting and direction are decent enough to keep me there to the end, although the plot had more holes in it than a trans-Atlantic fishing net! Average at best!

Wonder child carrying the plot put a real damper on Any interest or excitement.

It’s a great flick if you were following Loki on Disney+ Kangs Character was awesome and setting up the bigger picture before his character was cut by Disney. Still a great movie

One of the weaker MCU films. The logic of the movie is all over the place, characters' motivations don't make any sense, it takes itself far too seriously. This should have been a silly comedy like the previous Ant-Man movies or Thor: Ragnarok. It was honestly boring, even despite the dazzling CGI sci-fi. Paul Rudd is a comedic actor and was tremendously under utilized here. And Ant-Man's daughter came across as petulant the whole time. Luckily, Johnathan Majors' Kang was a great villain. It's a shame he screwed over his own career and won't be anchoring the following phases like Thanos did.

It's not as bad as many of the critics make it out to be, but at the same time it's not all that special either. It's a lot better than the Marvels or Captain America Brave new world. The underlying plot about the Quantumania and Kang is pretty good and it has a lot of decent jokes. But the writing around Cassie gets boring and the bringing back a previous villain only to have him turn good for "reasons" is really boring and stupid.

While this was the first big screen appearance for Kang his performance is lack luster and the humour this time around feels uncessary and forced at times. This movie did have nice visuals and animations to entertain viewers but inevitably ends up being an underwhelming film as a whole.

Great visuals, but a horrible script and bad direction. The actor who played Kang gave it his all, but the character wasn't well-defined. This may be the end of the Ant-Man franchise.

Pleasant film, linear and simple plot without great highlights. A normal film for its genre but not to be despised

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a fun and enjoyable movie with a lot of mistakes. The concept is great and the story is intriguing in the beginning. But later it starts to mess with the multiverse concept and the more they go into it, the less sense it makes. The characters are good and sweet. Ant-Man is still one of my favourite characters in the MCU and his family is also adorable. I loved Cassie, it was great to see her as a teenager. On the other hand I dislike the villains very much. Kang's actions don't make sense. MODOK is also ridiculous. I didn't enjoy his involvement in the movie even though he is very important to the whole story. The cinematography is very mid, while the production design is good. The design for the creatures and the world is amazing, but the execution is extremely poor. I think I haven't seen such terrible looking visual effects in an MCU movie before. The cast is great, I loved Kathryn Newton as Cassie. The acting performances are great, Paul Rudd is awesome. He is just a nice, charming guy in this role. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is enjoyable, but its cinematography is bad and the visual effects are terrible.

When I went to watch Ant-Man 3, I had high expectations due to the fact that it had KANG as the villain, but I was disappointed at the time, even though I didn't have a critical view of the films, the characters were very dull, and this M.O.D.O.K is simply horrible, with a worse ending yet, and the character Cassie Lang, is disrespectful to the comic book character. The name should be Ant-Man: Quantumania

Woof this movie is almost laughable definitely the worst since The incredible hulk

The fact that people are calling this the worst movie in the MCU while simultaneously praising The Marvels just goes to show you how wildly disingenuous people are willing to behave when politics and social justice is involved. As a hero film, this one was solid. I think the visuals of the quantum realm are what steal the show, but the acting is palatable and the writing is better than average. The introduction of Kang & MODOK was a welcome one. The weakest performance sadly comes from Cassie who is a pretty unlikeable character and whose acting is sub-par. Overall, easily better than The Marvels & Eternals, the true dog turds of the MCU

While the story and the writing were subpar, the nicely packed action sequences and the movie's villain gave me chills sometimes. If only the movie spent more time focused on the story and writing, this would be a great movie. Alas, it's alright; however, if you are more interested in a blockbuster story for your superhero movie, this isn't for you.

I've never been a huge MCU guy I have to admit, but this was dreadful. Even if you just want something for a little entertainment, you can do much better. I hope this is the beginning of the end for the extremely played out and tired comic genre.

I get a headache when I think about this movie. It doesn't feel real. Everything that wasn't just purely boring was actually offensively bad. I can't keep watching these, why do I care? What am I doing with my time? This is nothing.

Completely tanked the MCU by botching the introduction of the supposed next big bad.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the definition of an average film. It is "fun" however it has a painfully thin story and an awful third act that is just pure garbage. The only interesting part is that we get to see more Kang The Conqueror but even Kang feels oddly put of place in an antman film which just makes the film feel like just a huge mess of a superhero film that dosent know what it wants to do or be by the end. Overall, Antman 3 is okay at best but it is not great and is very disappointing as a marvel film.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a visually stunning piece, but it unsuccessfully introduces Kang, the new villain that everyone has been looking forward to. We encounter an ambiguous, irrelevant, and unmotivated villain. While the film cannot contribute to the universe's future, it also undermines the excitement for future projects. I lost all my curiosity about Kang with this movie. I hope we will be able to love Kang again, whom we will meet again in the second season of Loki, and we will obviously get to know him much better. For now, Kang couldn't even give half of Thanos' excitement.

The president of Marvel Studios announced that this movie will be a “direct line” into Phase 5, leading into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025. Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, along with Hope’s parents and Scott’s daughter, are accidentally sent to the Quantum Realm. They find themselves interacting with all kinds of strange, new creatures that threaten their lives and understanding. The movie was directed by Peyton Reed. Jack Kirby wrote the story with Jeff Loveness working on the screenplay. TIPS FOR PARENTS: People and characters in danger Talk of infidelity and their “needs” Some profanity and crude language THINGS I LIKED: The cast includes our faves from the last two movies, as well as a few new faces: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Bill Murray, Kathryn Newton, William Jackson Harper, David Dastmalchian, and the wonderful Jonathan Majors. Keep watching during the closing credits for another scene that leads perfectly into Season 2 of Loki. It kind of feels like this movie was developed at the same time Disney was working on Strange World. There are so many creative, new characters, some good and some bad. The world-building is inventive and interesting. It cracked me up when Dr. Hank Pym used his handy-dandy enlarger to get a large pizza when he only paid for a small one. ha ha If you can never get enough of the Star Wars cantina scenes, you’ll get a kick out of what’s offered here. Fun fact #1: The movie was filmed in Georgia (USA), London (England), and Turkey. Lots of action sequences. Kang the Conquerer is a fascinating character that we’ll get to learn more about in future MCU films. Jonathan Majors does an excellent job introducing us to this powerful foe. Audiences are loving the exploration of the multiverse that Marvel is taking us into. There are some amusing running gags that kept me entertained. I used to love Baskin Robbins when I was a little girl. ha ha The reference and Scott-employee cameo were cute. THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE: As much as I like Evangeline Lilly (and I do!), I didn’t like her with short hair. Kathryn Newton replaced the younger Cassie Lang. She does a fine job but her self-righteous teenage attitude is annoying. Some viewers are complaining that the plot is too thin and just feels like a set-up for future Marvel films.

Marvel ruins two villains in this movie: Kang and MODOK. Kang is reduced to a weak crybaby and MODOK is an idea gone wrong. I suppose MODOK is comedy relief again. I wish Marvel would stop doing that. I kept telling myself in the movie that this was only one instance of MODOK from the multiverse. Anyway, typical Ant Man fight scenes. More bad writing. I expect better from the MCU. Save your money.

By far one of the worst M-SHE-u installments, but still a bit fun to watch.

I love the Ant-Man character but I think he deserved a better movie because this one doesn't do him justice.

I had low hopes but... HOLY COW is this movie bad. It's like what would happen if you handed someone with low-to-moderate talent a stack of money and guaranteed them that you wouldn't ask any questions about what they were going to do with it. It's astonishingly bad for a professional product.

The rebel buildings are cool, but the plot is lacking and none of the supposed emotional moments landed.

I don't know what it is, modern feminists or woke equity politics, but how do you do such a bad job with something so easy. The source material has already established a massive fan base, and the story is already written. All they have to do is transcribe it from book to screen, and you'd have the best show of the decade. It's so simple. You have to be a extremely bad writer/director/producer to make something so great so bad. It's also extremely unethical to take someone's life's work and change the source material with such disrespect. Then, just to make everything so much worse, you add on top of that fan baiting. Fan Baiting is done on purpose to not only stir up controversy for publicity but also serves as a barrier to real criticism and ensures that the show will succeed because if anyone has a different opinion, they will just be labeled as a "racist/sexist/transphobe/etc." and their opinion is ignored. It's a method to make everyone think you're virtuous when really you're just a horrible person spreading hate with anyone who has a different opinion than your own. You act like you're fighting fascism by spreading and using fascism. It's hypocrisy in action.
