Just fun fun and fun ! Lasts about 30 hours (I didn't 100% it) and although the story is basic, it's not off putting. The combat is where the game shines.

Not a bad game but far from a good one. The world looks nice, the characters look like play-doh. I have no idea why this is an "R" rated game when it feels like a kids game. You can't even do anything bad as thegame won't let you. Your companisons make you feel like a school teacher, sorting out childish squables while they teach you the basics of life. "This is a harbour, there should be boats here...." er thanks ! Get it on a deep deep sale and you might be ok, if you want a gritty story go somewhere else.

More reviews than players, says it all really.... Go and play a free team shooter as this isnt worth spending money on.

Really great indie game that captures a number of influences in one game. It’s a Horror, Roguelite, side scroller with an absorbing atmosphere, interesting lore and great 2.5d gameplay. The game teaches you mechanics over time to not overwhelm you and before you know it you have a huge tool kit to handle the challenges ahead of you. Completely recommend this game !!!

Losses 2 stars for the stupid warning at the start. Otherwise a good game that recreates the original. New controls could have been better but that's ok.

Worse than i first thought. Stay away from this garbage. It doesnt have microtransactions in game, it has transactions, nothing micro about 30 EUR skins.

Descent game. Not for hard core ARPG players, its a starter ARPG. Decent story. not worth 70 bucks.

I think the games really fun to play!! That’s the measure that matters most! The combat is actually challenging (on hard don’t know about the other levels) and the story is easy to follow. The exploration is fantastic and you can easily lose yourself in the game for a long time! I think it you are a mega wizarding world fan then it would easily be a 10!

Great story and really solid game play. its quite short but that's why its a lower price. Finally a developer who doesn't over reach. They decided kept it within their capabilities and nailed the core game! Well done!!

Bugs and terrible story. They removed all the good stuff from the original series and replaced it with waffle guy. Good job!!

Having played a good number of Tales games this is the best one since Vesperia. The characters are great as is the interaction between them. The two main characters for me have the best writing and are some of the best characters in any game ever. The action is fast paced and simple but with a high celling if you spend the time to master it. Last mentions that the soundtrack is awesome and so are the visuals! Buy this game, no excuses!

As of Jan 2022 we have had patch 1.1.7c and this game is now unbelievable !!! The story is amazing, the game play amazing and the game can easily take 200 hours to complete if you do a a good amount of the side content. In fact, the side content is often even better than the main quests. This game now sets the benchmark for crpg's. its better than DOS2 and i honestly don't know how any CRPG will beat this now. Amazing Owlcat , you legends !!

I have a high end PC so i didnt experience most of the reported game breaking bugs. Thats not to say the game still isnt littered with so many its unreal. The game play is average. the story good but as the origin doesnt make any difference and the choices are meaningless it just ends up being disappointing. and thats an accurate way to end this... its just so disappointing!! :(

The franchise is all story and this is a game with a terrible story. The game does have lovely visuals and better than average game play, but the story takes all this away ! The story tries so hard to force you to feel sorry for people that you immediately don’t want to feel sorry for they are really just unpleasant people.
