It's not a complete disappointment, but only passionate fans of the genre or of Thor should look into this one.

I do not understand. There is a useless rage against this game. It is not extraordinary, but does his duty admirably. In my opinion is a bit 'boring, but it's still fun. My vote is very high severity delegated to balance other reviews

Despite the freedom of not having to stick to the movie's plot, Thor fulfills the ancient cliché of bad movie-to-game-adaptations that should better be avoided.

Destined to prematurely hit the bargain bucket of game stores worldwide, Thor fails miserably in its bid to reignite the action and excitement that this summers blockbuster superhero smash brought to the big screens in waves. Predictably as a videogame movie adaptation, Thor fails epically. Interestingly enough though, as a cure for long-term insomnia, it can't be highly enough recommended.

Thor: God of Thunder looks terrible, plays poorly, and was obviously rushed out to market with no fine-tuning whatsoever. Considering that the DS version is so much better by comparison (along with the vastly superior free Flash title from Marvel Studios), I'm saddened that this game had to ever exist.

Don't play Thor: God of Thunder. Please, for the love of the Norse gods.

The game is a slap in the face, to people who like video games, to people who like comic books, to people who like Germanic paganism.

I don't know what's up with critics, but it's not a bad game at all. Surprisingly fun and good for fans of hack and slash gameplay. It'll make for a very entertaining weekend if you ask me.

The game successfully does what it offers. It alows you to be Thor and allows you to do nearly anything he has ever done in the movies or in the cartoons. Gameplay is like God Of War but the game is generally weak but still fun if you find it at low price and if you like Thor, just get it.

Not as awful as critics say. "Thor" is similar to "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed", but it feels unfinished. The game can be fun with its combat system and exploration elements. Unfortunately, game design and control issues really work against it. For instance, there is no lock-on targeting and jumping can be very inconsistent. In addition, there is no clear indication on how to defeat some bosses. Still, if you're a fan of "God of War" or "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", you might have some fun with it. I would rate this with a 6.4 out of 10.

This could have been a decent game, the IP is sound, plenty of back story and mythology to explore, but the game itself is just a repetitive button masher with some very annoying traits including camera issues, game design issues - run out of mana? Too bad you can't kill that last distanced enemy to advance to the next section without dying and redoing it again with some more mana spare. Just very poor to be playing a game like this and having to restart over and over because you didn't realise that the next section won't start unless you have done something in a certain way. Alas another wasted license.
