Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
There really isn’t anything that separates it from other Spyro games. Actually in a lot of ways the PS1 games are much more enjoyable and original.
The graphics are nothing to be proud of, as they seem very similar to what we were presented with on the PS one not too long ago, and nothing in terms of the gameplay or style has changed a bit or improved upon in any way shape or form.

Simply a decent been-there-done-that platformer. [Jan 2003, p.40]

This game is mediocre at best and that's me being kind to it. I wanted to give it a chance but the flaws are to glaring for me. The long loading times are ridiculous. The game also has poor controls and is notorious for game breaking glitches. The Spyro series peaked during the first PlayStation era and started declining around the time the PlayStation 2 released. The PlayStation 2 is an iconic console with lots of great games worth replaying, but this certainly isn't one of them.

Very buggy, makes you sometimes wonder if you lost a gem because you didn't look good or because of a bug (both happened to me), that is terrible if you want to 100% the game, not that I would raccomand it. But even outside glitches, it is a technical mess, bad graphics, bag animation, bad hit feedback, bad everything except the level design which is decent, stages are to large and not smarly connected as the trilogy, but they are still good stages.

This game was different to what I was expecting coming from the original trio and a Hero's tail. It still hits you with some nice nostalgia and fun moments. But it is very repetitive and not in a good way. The game itself runs very poorly, but compared to other reviewers I have only found a single bug so far and no crashes. (I am running on a late model PS2). Overall if you are a Spyro fan and just want more of what's already been done, then go for it. But if you are new to Spyro titles, please start with the original three or a Hero's Tail before touching this entry.

For the most part, though, Spyro is a graphics bonanza with blasts of color and eye-catching nuances, such as rippling water, glowing flames, and shimmering portals.

All in all, the game felt more like a task I had to complete rather than something to be enjoyed.

This is very best game. Incredible graphic and interesting mini-games. Characters clearly modeled, even Spyro very nicely. Of glitches can laugh, this is fun. I like this game

This is a very funny game. The graphics are good. Glitch do not interfere with the game. Interesting mini-games make the gameplay more varied. Maybe not the best game about Spyro, but that doesn't make it bad.

More of the same, but not quite as good, with crappy minigames and a framerate that's more offensive than calling your political foe a putzhead. [Jan 2003, p.132]

Run, not walk, far away from this piece of junk. Do not buy this game at all costs or you will regret it. You have been warned.

The gameplay is not very addictive and feels more of a farce than an enjoyable adventure game.

Control-wise, I hate the slippery, jittery interaction between character and camera. [Jan 2003, p.52]

GameSpot
A train wreck of a game that has no direction, no technical merit, and little appeal except as a game design house of horrors and a showcase for some good music by Stewart Copeland.

this game isn’t good, but it is a great time. it has an almost unbelievable amount of bugs and glitches. i can say with 100% certainty that the game will bug out every single time it is played, and in new and surprising ways. just when you think you’ve seen it all, it hits you with something unexpected. i’m not even going to spoil them because they’re the best part of the game. what’s even better is that none of them interfere with the gameplay; the awful framerate and poor optimization do more damage to that than anything else. the actual design of the game is hilariously bad, too. since there are only, like, ten levels, Check Six felt the need to cram hundreds of gems into each one. some levels have 900 gems, and collecting them is completely pointless because you only need to use them once. in the very first level. and there are big open spaces littered with nothing but gems and enemies. and most of the gems spawn upside down and completely static. amazing. seriously, the design is so confusing and the glitches so abundant that you’ll be faced with occurrences in which you’re unsure whether or not they were supposed to happen the way they did. spyro’s momentum is so wacky, and it leads to honestly the best ice physics i’ve ever experienced. it is legitimately fun to move spyro around on the ice, and i can’t say that about any other game. unfortunately, spyro enter the dragonfly doesn’t do much with it. the graphics are hairyass bad, but the aesthetic is pleasing enough and uses a lot of bright and eye catching colors without being overbearing. the framerate can make it hard to enjoy sometimes, though. the game also has some solid tracks. Stewart Copeland had a hand in the music, and it shows. some of the minigames are actually fun, and the game does do speedways pretty well, if a little unruly to control because of the speed combined with, once again, the terrible framerate. you can find this game super cheap now. grab some friends and a bong and just enjoy. as long as you don’t go in expecting a traditionally fun and functional gaming experience, you won’t be disappointed.

Fun platformer, don't know why everyone hates it, the frame rate is fine and everything else about it is pretty decent.

This game is just a broke ass try hard of Spyro 3. When Insomniac games left the Spyro series, they worked on Rachet and Clank. Ever since then, the quality of Spyro games starts to diminish and die. And it all starts with this botched abortion. Spyro enter the dragonfly is the "How not to make a Spyro game", similar to Sonic 06. This game has a **** load of bugs, glitches, and frame rate drops like that of Sonic 06. And I feel bad for any Spyro fan who loved the 3 original games and had to deal with this garbage. In conclusion this is just a **** game. 4.8/10

The only reason this game gets a 4 out of 10 is because of the hilarious glitches, It is clearly not a finished game although it had some potential to be an alright game if more time was spent on it.
